Saber or the Force (Matsu Ike)

[member="Matsu Ike"]

Location: Voss Main Temple

Spencer was a new Padawan of the Silver Sanctum Coalition, he was looking to further improve himself as a Jedi Sage. Healing and helping the citizens of the galaxy. But before he went off on any special medical missions he would need to learn the basics of the force. Seeking out Master Ike he asked her to take him in as her Padawan. She gracefully accepted.

It was decided that they would meet in the main temple on Voss to begin the training. Spencer was excited, he would begin his first step on becoming a fully fledged Jedi. Of course he wanted to learn force heal and other life saving abilities. But he knew he must also learn more about saber combat and other more aggressive abilities in order to ensure a complete understanding of the force.

As he waited in the temple for his master arrive the big Corellian sat on a bench tapping his foot and regularly getting up and pacing the room. It wasn't a long time till his master would arrive, but it seemed like eternity before she did.

Alright it was time for a real test as Matsu was looking from the top of the temple, mostly because well she had gone to Aing-Tii and done as they had asked. She had found herself facing trials and temptations before the one had agreed to explain to her, teaching her while she trained and with their skills that training could be longer or shorter. So she had been practicing and standing there now while she was meditating, visualizing the bench the padawan was on and clasping her hands in front of herself. Matsu felt her stomach drop, the air escape from her lungs while she blinked and slowly opened her eyes. Allowing the air to rush into her lungs for a moment and she was sitting there. Knowledge was its own reward and gift to some butthe lessons she had learned were what she treasured... that and the friendship. Say what you will about their greetings and licking you they did break out the good stuff and moonshine on a planet of bioorganix beings could be very very powerful as she had learned finally speaking when she turned her head to see the padawan. "So who are you waiting for." The jedi master was a reclusive from Voss preferring the floating temple of Cazador or the underground temple of the Twilight Sepulcher. Voss was to crowded for her.

"Master Ike, its good to see you." Spencer shot up out of his seat looking at the Jedi in front of him. "I am Padawan Spencer Olin. I am hoping to become a Jedi Sage of the Silver Sanctum Coalition." He bowed his head as he introduced himself. The temple was bustling with people, Masters, Knights and Padawans walked the temple training and working on their own things. Thus the temple was quite loud.

"Master Ike, would you like to go outside? We could talk more there." Spencer questioned as he looked at the Jedi waiting for a response.

Matsu looked at the padawan as she sat there and smiled a bit. "Hello padawan Olin and well outside is fine. I have really no problem anywhere." She rose up and had a look on her face while standing there with her hands on her hips while she was starting to move. "Alright where would you like to go? There is an entire planet to train on." She said it while moving now and letting the small holo on the datapad with their research teams and progress on different things in the lab. "We might have to stop by my lab, there are some designs being finished though."

"Hmm, maybe into the forest?" George suggested as they began walking out of the crowded temple. The forest would be an interesting place to train. Spencer had not wondered the terrain or much of Voss so this would have been a adventure in itself. "That is fine Master Ike, what are you designing at the moment?" The young Padawan asked thinking about what it could be.

The forest sounded great while she was walking. "Right now several saber hilts and working to modify crystals." There were a number of other things they had been working on while she walked. The bracers and small augmentations they had been working to recreate and construct. Her work and study of items like the cube, the heart and the eye... have given her ideas and with the trip learning from the Jal Shey how to work their equipment and the force she had been working with the things. "We also have been constructing synthetic crystals that are able to replace ancient artifacts like the healing crystals of fire and surpass them as the cubes we made do suspending the ones being healed in time so their can heal and be worked upon."

"Okay, thats pretty awesome. At the moment I've only got a training blade, I'll need to make my own lightsaber soon..." He hinted as they continued to walk. There was a whole host of different things that Master Ike was designing many of which appealed to Spencer, especially the healing crystals. "Can you tell me a little bit more about those healing crystals? How exactly do they work?" Spencer questioned, he was a lover of the art of healing, anything and everything involved with that intrigued him. The walk to the training was already full of interesting developments Spencer would take on board and learn from.

She was looking at him for a brief moment speaking and watching. 'Noted' she thought to herself for a saber and oh there was some things that could be done special. A big padawan like him would need something large and stylish to be unique. It might be a fun thing to test herself on while she was thinking how to explain the crystals. "The healing crystals of fire are rare artifacts, only maybe a dozen have been found throughout the galaxy and some have been destroyed. Their properties I have studied to try and replicate with some success, synthetic cubes that are able to channel the same properties they do but it isn't always perfect. The ones using them still need to have some skills in the art of healing."

Listening to the words of Master Ike Spencer became intrigued. "So they help intensify the healing potential of a sentient? That is quite amazing. I understand you have at least one of these crystals in your possession? Have you came into contact with any more?" Spencer questioned, it was a fascinating subject. It was definitely something that Spencer would like to look into further, especially once he learnt the basics of force heal.

"Did you still need to stop by your lab first? Or did you want to head into the forest now?" Spencer asked they headed toward the forest making sure there were no other things that needed attending to first.

Yes at least one, she hadn't revealed to many if any what she and Rianna had found. They had the ability and had sworn to not let it be exploited while she was moving now. "My lab is in the woods." She was moving now and entering the woods there was the sight of some of the researchers working on the wood itself. Making special and custom hilts from different materials was always a welcomed thing and they could find a great deal on Voss as the sight of the cave with the lab inside it looked normal from the outside before giving way to metal and the base. Sounds of machines and equipment working as she went a little deeper and there was a desk with notebooks and datapads on it. One of the fire crystal suspended in a stasis field while it was being scanned and different equipment was strewn about before she touched some of it. "Some of the gear we have been working on. A force light gun designed to harm darksiders, a barrier amulet made for lightsiders, stasis cubes that can suspend a room for you to work on them with the synthetic haling crystals. Plus some more things."

With Master Ike and himself heading into the wood towards the research lab. It was an interesting thing, hidden by the woods surrounding it the research lab was full of interesting and amazing technology. There were people all over working on many different things, lightsaber hilts, synthetic crystals, even some more advanced force light gun. Something Spencer had never even knew could be possible. A weapon that could be used specifically against the sith... It was amazing. "Wow this place is amazing." Spencer said looking around at all the technology around him. "All of it items for the lightside, it is quite interesting how advanced the technology is." Spencer could see Master Ike was pleased with her team, the work they were doing was great and definitely something Spencer was proud to see.

Matsu looked at him. "Yes it is, the lightside is able to use it and well the technology isn't as advanced. It is older then most we have just been slowly recovering the information from it all and re-purposing it." She moved in and grabbed a belt, the extra compartments she slid the dar cube in and the telchek so it look balanced before she was making some looks at the equipment. Removing one of the Sasori Amulet from the stasis field as she held it. "Take it, as a padawan you might find some use for it where we are going. The forests hold many other things within them." She had a grin on her face opening one of the drawers and her hands gripped the z shaped saber blade as it went to her hip like a disc blade and chakram.

"I guess that is true, this some ancient stuff, but the way they have been remastered make them seem more technological than the current." Spencer replied as Master Ike stasis field. Master Ike grabbed a Sasori Amulet from within the field handing it to Spencer. "Oh gosh, thank you Master. Its wonderful." Spencer was quite surprised to be offered such an item. Spencer put the amulet on, feeling the instant connection to it. He wasn't sure exactly how it worked, but his understanding was that it worked such like a shield, through the force it would offer protection for the wearer. He wasn't exactly sure how to unlock that but he was sure he would eventually.

She looked at him and spoke more. "It activates based on you, the connection to the lightside will allow it to activate and create for a short time an energy barrier able to resist lightsabers. It is for protecting from dangerous blows and if you ever start to fall to the darkside. Well it likes to burn darksiders who try to use it." She left the last part and it was a great way to keep yourself attuned t the lightside when you have gear that would thankfully remind you that you were slipping. "NOw this saber you want to make, what do you imagine it to be?"

[member="Matsu Ike"]

As Master Ike explained the amulet she spoke about how it didn't like the darkside. "Fair enough, at least it will keep me on the light path." Spencer replied thinking about how it would feel to be burnt alive by the amulet... It would hopefully stop him ever falling to the darkside which was a good thing. But being a Jedi Healer he doubted that to ever happen. But it was a possibility so it was still helpful. Master Ike then continued to ask another very difficult question, what would Spencer's lightsaber be like... "Well Master Ike just a simple long bladed lightsaber with a jade blue crystal." He replied imagining it.

"Simply enough, the hilt of such a blade should reflect you." She was standign there for a moment and dug in some of the drawers getting the pieces for the saber while she set them in a case. "You'll need to find your crystal in the caves on your own but here are all the components you can use to make it. Would you like anything special, there are trap studs to keep people from using your saber, std locks to keep it activated should you let go, a force activated stud so only force uses are the only ones who can activate it."

[member="Matsu Ike"]

As Spencer and Master Ike discussed the lightsaber he would soon create she dug around in one of the draws as she pulled out all of the components to make the lightsaber, he was one step closer all he needed now was a crystal. Preferably a jade blue crystal. That is what he felt was destined to be his. Master Ike also asked if Spencer would like any other accessories to add to his lightsaber when he makes it. "Yeah that would be great thanks Master. Just the trap studs, I think that would be all... I can't believe you are giving me all the materials needed to make my own lightsaber. I can't thank you enough Master." Spencer was overwhelmed with thanks, it was an amazing feeling for him, "All I need now is a crystal then I can get to work building it." Spencer was thinking about where he would acquire a lightsaber crystal to finish up the gathering of materials for his lightsaber.

Master looked at him and bowed her head. "Think nothing of it." She was moving with her hands grabbing at the trap studs for him and setting them in. "Now they will and can be dangerous if you aren't careful. Remember however you set it to deactivate otherwise a nasty shock." With a look she hands it over. "As for building your saber well that will come down to however you want to do it either through meditation with the force or at a workbench." She was moving and placed a hand on the wall while the door opened showing caves. "Welcome to the crystal caves it will lead into the rest of the forest and we'll see what you might be able to find."

[member="Matsu Ike"]

As Master Ike passed over the trap studs she reminded Spencer to deactivate them before attempting to wield the lightsaber otherwise it could give an nasty shock. "Yes I will remember that Master." He replied as Master Ike moved over to the wall. She placed her hand on the wall activating something as a door opened giving access to the crystal caves. "Nifty." Spencer said as she unveiled the secret caves.

Next was the crystal caves then into the forest. Spencer was still en route to the training location but had learnt and obtained valuable items and knowledge, today was a great day for Spencer.

As Spencer stepped towards the caves opening he spoke. "Crystal caves here we come." As Spencer took his first steps into the cave in front of Master Ike.

Matsu looked at him as she waited for him to get inside and she grabbed one of the gloves they had been working on as well as the crystal they had created with Zak using her cube. Slowly Matsu was walking as she held it slowly chipping away while she got a pieces letting her hand work to smooth it over. Her cube going to the other one on her utility belt in a special compartment before she was walking deeper into the cave. "Now allow the force energies to guide you and let your crystal call to you."
