I would like to have this undenied. I submitted this so I could make a solid and defenitive kit so people who can buy the weapons I sell can have a way to modify them as they see fit.

After market parts are just that, after market so anyone can really sell them. Like I bought my cold air intake valve for my car from a company called Injen, they're not part of the Toyota company but they can make the parts.


Again the TL;DR:

• Nothing special about the parts
• Everything is basic and canon
• Also seems like a short cut in having to do submissions one by one.

I would like this reopened so that I may make edits and remove the ysalamir references.

The secondary judge didn't really give me a chance after it was approved by the first. Some of us are not Expanded Universe encyclopedias and don't have the time/opportunity to read every book out there, so I was just making a case from what Wookieepedia said since it seems to be the primary source for almost all the factory submissions to date. Again, I don't have the ability to read every EU book on this matter five times over, so I think this was prematurely denied just because I haven't read these books.

I'm fine with making it more 'vanilla', but I found the immediate shut-down to be unfair and abrasive.

I would like this second chanced as I feel the judge made a few errors in judgement concerning the math and balance.

It does not have more guns than most as he believes. The average Assault type Heavy Cruiser has 240 Capital Guns and 10 Heavy Warheads (Which I am within my right to refer to since I can very well say a standardized assault heavy cruiser load-out as a selection which would give me these values). Heavy Warheads are worth 8 Capital guns. Sacrificing them all gives me 60 more capital guns because once I go over half I only get half value back. So 10 heavy Warheads are worth: 40 + (40/2) = 60. 240 + 60 = 300 (which is exactly what my ship has).

It is fast for a cruiser, but at the same time it isn't the highest speed a cruiser can achieve, and the maneuverability isn't as high as the speed even. I compensated this by making the hull thinner. I did add an advanced shield unit, but there are examples of ships being allowed 1 advanced system of their choice without intensive work. I can make trade offs, but I was not given that option unless I lowered the shield or speed. If needed I would choose to lower the hanger count more if that is acceptable and needed.

I would like a second chance at this submission.

I understood the judges points as well as his recommendations and i would like to make alterations to the original submission since the concept of a high powered plasma blaster will still fundamentally be the same.

Also its not just the image that was the issue. From how it read it read like a gundam or that concept of Mecha. It was denied on that along with the lack of information that was presented. The submission was very bare.

I will allow the second chance, but will not remove the previous submission. I request that you rewrite and rework the entire submission from the ground up.

This was denied because it was said to be 1. plagiarism, and 2. not conforming to the general idea of star wars.

I don't believe I am plagiarizing. I wanted a grappling hook system for a few reasons. One was so that I can ascend things quickly without using the force. Second was fast short distance transportation. I explored different ways of doing that, an this one made the most scientific sense. I didn't want a jet pack because everyone uses them. The reference being used to show plagiarism is from a tv show, but the only similarity between mine and the one being referenced is they both have grappling hooks, the rest I completely changed. I even came up with my own way of propulsion. The previous submission mentioned, was something I commissioned. It was my idea so I didn't steal it. I thought the person who was making it
made it too closely to the tech from the show so I decided to do it myself, and changed mine.

I also don't understand how it doesn't conform to the idea of star wars. In plenty of instances people in star wars have used grappling hooks, and there has been far stranger tech used in star wars. Star wars is a vast and diverse universe, and I don't think my tech is that strange, that it couldn't be used.

I am completely open to suggestions of change. I really want to use this tech and am completely open to compromise. Thank you for reading this.

I've seen the liquid spike launcher, but that is only a one shot deal, what i am trying to make is something that can be fired multiple times. The previous denied submission, was my design. I don't know how i can change a grappling hook system so it's not conceptually the same as any other grappling hook. They are all made for the same purpose. I just have 2 for more stability, and it can be launched, and relaunched. The propulsion system is completely my own. is there anything I could change that would allow it to be passed?
