She lay there cheek to the ground looking at them. They were beginning to separate, go off in directions to investigate. She wondered how many of them studied Sith history to know what it was they looked at, or where they just merely "flying by the seat of their pants"

Bella began coughing, the pain in her ribs doubled. She could almost feel her fingers of her right hand. Almost.

Now it looked like one, a single one was coming up the path towards Adas' tomb.

She bit her lip, she couldn't be found just laying like a fish out of water. She groaned and through sheer will alone she pushed herself to her knees, the scratches on her legs had finally stopped bleeding, but now the movement risked opening the scabs. Bella found herself gritting her teeth and breathing hard, she supported herself on one arm, shaking her head she began to laugh again. How did this happen? What was I thinking?

Bella looked to the path to where the Jedi would appear, This will be great, this is almost the equivalent of being caught with my pants down..Bella laughed harder and worse, she felt stuck like she couldn't move.

The pain was increasing and this was all she could do to? Her head hurt...Bella looked to the skies...

The Dark Side was already powerful on Korriban, like steam rising from a burning ocean, but now it felt even more sinister. The tides of war began to shift, and suddenly, it became hard to feel the presences of his fellow Jedi who were standing directly below him as he overlooked the Valley of the Dark Lords. The Force was his guide as it forced his gaze to the opposite end of the Valley, which could only be faintly seen with his mortal eyes, but alas, the Dark Side was too powerful for Force Sight to be useful on Korriban. However, his ears worked just fine, and he could hear the sound of dozens of engines revving. Dust started to get kicked up from the other end of the Valley. There they were.

Dredge said:
...a biker gang straight from the pits of hell.
"Connor! Everyone! Get to high ground! The cavalry is on it's way, and they're not on our side!" Krux shouted down to his allies, igniting the lightsaber in his hand. The steel-blue blade ignited with a hiss, the white-hot core sparking and shimmering with instability. A flawed weapon for a flawed Jedi. As the mounted warriors drew nearer, Krux could begin to make out the faces of the riders. What...the feth are those beings? They roared and cheered as the rode through the blaster fire, their bloodlust easy to see as their eyes, sharp as double-edged swords, fixed upon the Jedi.

The only rider he could see that wasn't this strange, hideously barbaric-looking race of warriors was clad in some strange, intimidating armor. Him. He was the source of the Dark tides that had washed over the Valley. He must have been the leader of this warband of evil.

Here we go, Krux. You've been away from battle for this long re-evaluating everything you once believed to be benevolent in the Force. You knew you wouldn't be able to escape war forever. Take it to them. Korriban will be stained by the blood of these warmongers!

Krux felt his hatred begin to build, and almost immediately shook his head and grit his teeth. No, hatred wouldn't fuel his power today. He didn't hate his enemies. He pitied them. He pitied that they'd die by his vengeful hand. Focus. He threw his off-hand forward from his high perch on the pillar, a bolt of Force Lightning soaring from his tainted fingertips and striking the ground in front of one of the riders, kicking up dust and scorching the sand, but only managing to get dust in the graug's hateful eyes.

We're going to have to leave this high ground eventually...

If there was one thing this incarnation of Dredge enjoyed it was inflicting pain and suffering on everyone around him, he was a tortured soul after all and felt nothing but misery himself. And as we all know misery and self loathing eventually turn to hatred, anger, and rage. A rage that was unquenchable and never ending, years of darkness finally being unleashed onto those who dare get in its way. It was simply put a force of pure negative emotions and auras, malice in its purest form.

Now with Dredge being the only one on the ground the other biker Graug circled the small camp firing everything from explosive crossbow bolts to blasters at the fine men and women of the coalition. Even a Jedi from afar had shot some lightning at them, but that didn't help. People were dropping dead left and right and Dredge simply basked in the loss and pain.

Some of the Jedi seeing over the now dwindling camp stepped up to face Dredge, a knight and their padawan by the looks of them. Dredge turned a sick smile under his helmet and gripped the massive bastard sword pulling it out of a researchers chest cavity.

"Before you ask me why am I doing this, let me tell you why. I simply enjoy watching you burn." Dredge said as he stepped forward.

The massive sword leveled and taking that mass he brought it down on the knight and split him down the middle in a very gruesome fashion and the Jedi party from afar would be forced to watch. As for the little padiwan, Dredge had plans for her. With a beast like roar the armored up giant lunged forward and snatched the young girl by her hair and lifted them from the ground.

"Do you fear me child?" Dredge said with a sick grin from beneath his helmet.

"Your Jedi have failed you, they stand like cowards while you die."

"Take her back to the cave along with any wounded you can find! Leave me a bike and pull the other squad back, I'll have words with these Jedi when they arrive." Dredge threw the small girl to the ground and the skirmishing party of Graug lifted her up and began to ferry them back to the crypt they had rushed out of.

The Graug skirmishing party followed Dredge's orders and secured hostages to take them back into the cave. However the secondary skirmishing party rushed back to Dredge now that there were more powerful foes on the battlefield. Parking themselves behind Dredge they covered their ears as the Warlord let out a bellow towards the Jedi.

Cloudburner let go of all he was doing and rushed to where the Sith Knight, [member="Dredge"] was. He hoped this decision would not be regretted.

"You talk of the Jedi like they are weak, yet you can't face off against one like a man! I've seen things that make this place look like a walk in the park!"

He then used force push and hoped it would topple the Sith Knight off his bike, clearly it would fail, but take down a few of his fellow bikers.

"Oops."

He smiled. This moment could not be more ironic, laughter and sarcasm in a dark and depressing place such as this.

"This place belongs to the Jedi, leave now or I will bury you in this new Jedi territory."

Then the Sith knight, [member="Dredge"] got off his speeder and yelled a spine-crunching "Face Me!".

Cloudburner walked towards the Yuuzhan Vong Sith and stood, looking at him through hungry eyes, with a side smile that asked to be fought. There he saw the path of destruction and death the Sith left behind him. That gave him a concerned look and wiped away his sidesmile.

"You... You killed both of them."

The anger was pushing it's way into his psyche. He fought it with his positive emotions but it was still there, clawing at his mind, tearing him apart.

"That is it. Prepare to die by the Jedi you called weak!"

There was a lot going on and if there was a way to stop the pyre he was certain it wouldn't be eternal while moving off towards the rougher sections of the canyon and grinning to himself before he sealed the can and set it back. Wiping his fingers off before digging in his pockets as he jumped up and grabbed hold of some rocks to get up a little higher and scout around the pyre for a place to work and start laying out plans for the droids. His enjoyment just being here and getting to almost run around freely something of a good and fun time before he rose up digging the boots into the walls and leaping up to a rock.

Allies:Still n/a due to trying to kill space Saruman and associated minions(or are otherwise not nearby from what I can gather)

Kurayami had marked his ship's location on his HUD as his starting point. The line from there was growing longer as he wandered the tainted surface of Korriban. The desolation was easily noticed as were the promises of power beyond his wildest imagination, no doubt tempting offers but he was still unsure of his exact place in all of this. It had taken him this long simply to overcome a mental block and see the simple truth that he could be far more than just a soldier. That one day he would be able to make a saber that would reflect not only that of his master, but also the one which he now wore on his hip. These were things that were still far off to be sure, but perhaps not so far as they seemed. As he thought on the possibilities he simply wandered to where he felt the greatest pull.

It was not one of the tombs or the academy that drew him towards it. Rather it was the Great Temple that was pulling him in its direction. He wanted to understand why these promises held as much sway as they did. An answer that few would think long on before deciding that it was simply the strength that they promised to grant the wielder, and yet it had to go deeper than just that. The promises that he was hearing whispered on the wind, he knew were naught but fancily worded lies. This much he had learned simply through discussions and it was this simple fact that gave him the ability to hear, but not follow. This is not to say it was easy as they did prey upon what he feared, what he had failed at, and gave warnings that without them he would only continue to lose whatever he held hear. No, easy was not the word, he was barely holding it together and the thoughts he chose to focus on were his only respite. There was so much yet to learn, both here and much further away. Much yet to discover about the Force and the nature therein, maybe he would make strides in such an understanding, perhaps not, but even if his ideals made sense to a single other person and they continued where he left off then one day it was possible that he would have a much greater impact than could be foreseen.

After some time of walking he came to an entrance that was not part of the Academy's inner portion. What had lead to it was unclear, it did not seem to be intended to be there by the design of the outside. He tilted his head to the right a bit as he thought about what was before him, what had lead to the creation of this opening in the exterior. It could easily have been a grave robber or other scavenger looking for valuable Sith artifacts. Alternatively it could have been done by another such as himself, one who desired only to understand the enemy as well as those whom they allied with. It was certainly nothing that weighed long on his mind as he continued towards the opening. The Darkness here was even more intense than it had been where he landed. The promises of power over himself, over others, over death itself, became increasingly grandiose and seemed to present ever fewer downsides if only he would listen.

He pressed on, his mind no longer contemplating all that he saw, but only focusing on keeping from giving into the Darkness. It would be a hard fought battle, of that much he was certain but it was a battle that he knew he could not afford to lose. Mentally he had been broken before, but he had survived and come out stronger. It was different in concept as it had been his first combat experience that had broken him, seeing just how much carnage could come from a single soldier was something that no amount of training could prepare one for. The scars were ones he still bore, it was why he had worked as a freelance merc for a time. Death had been his trade, and he was good at it, but it was not his desire. It was this on which he concentrated, letting all desire for power bleed from him, it was only knowledge he sought. Only understanding, healing not vengeance or destruction.

Due to his intense focus on his true desires, those that were peaceful or neutral in nature, he did not notice much about his change in scenery. The winds no longer howled, the sounds of battle beyond were but muffled reports and even further reduced voices. What he did notice was that there was no natural light here and that the Darkness was far more oppressive. To say that he would have a migraine after this expedition was putting it quite lightly. Now it was no longer whispers, he could clearly hear those interred here as if they were speaking to him. It was not formal, nor was it threatening any longer now it was as though speaking with a long time acquaintance. As if he had known each of these people during their lives. And yet he could not have told you but a few of those who were interred here, even then he was working from accounts that were very old, and were many times handed down through less than reputable means. He simply looked around, recording all that he saw onto his datapad for later study. He zoomed in and activated the helmet mounted light for low visibility trying to get every detail that he could manage. It was easy to tell that he was standing in ruins, unrestored, but seemingly immune to the ravages of time otherwise.

Once he was confident that he had scanned as much as he possibly could, he turned off the headlamp and made his way back out. There was alot that could be learned from the footage alone maybe later an actual expedition could be carried out to ascertain more indepth analysis. Only one problem came from this exploration. His curiosity was now piqued. As any who had met him could tell you, this was not a good or bad thing in and of itself, however that did mean that his next stop would be one of the tombs within the Valley itself. A dangerous proposition indeed.

Objective 4: Debunking Maligea - The Historical Liber Mordu
Location: The Valley of Golg

He'd found marble shards that didn't match any of the surrounding rock.

Best as he could tell, they were the tops of pillars. Pressing a hand down into the dirt, the young Jedi closed his eyes as he stretched out with his feelings. Through the layers of sand, dirt, dust, and rock, he could touch the history in this place. See the spectre of the past. Where he stood, there had once been a monument.

...no, a square. A town square.

This had been a city.

...he opened his eyes...

...the young Anzat was kneeling in the shadow of three great pillars, shaped like a claw that was erupting from out of the ground...

...smoke and ash hung in the air, the chill of the planet offset by heavy braziers of coal that burned along pyres... the stench of burning flesh like a fragrant incense upon the air... the crack of the slave-master's whip... the lamentations of women and children...

...red-skinned devils moved through the shadows and the smoke... moving in and out of a bustling flesh market... as the heavy robes of the priest-class paraded through the square toward the gates of their temple...

With an involuntary gasp, the boy found himself snapped back to reality.

Vertigo slammed into him like he'd just hopped off the mechanical bantha at Docking Bay 94 in Voss-Ka. Standing on the desolate sands, the evidence of all that he saw from the past scattered to the winds and buried by the planet itself.

Picking himself up, the young Jedi looked to again face the direction where he'd seen the Sith Temple in the vision. Now there was only desert, and barren rock worn smooth with the cutting winds and the passage of time. Or maybe that was only what the eyes could see.

Taking a step forward, the small archaeologist set out in search of this citadel of dreams...

Heading into the tomb as she felt the darkside and let the energies from the lightside of the sigil to vibrate across the skin and length of her arm within the glove. THe tomb here was almost oppressive before she was sending the force energies into the metal to saturate it and like water going through a filter it was stringing out the force to refine it and fill the crystal in the palm of her hand. The jedi master could get a lot of it done before the crystal almost pushed back at the force energy bringing to her the sensation before she was sending it into the sigil allowing it to resonate before going back through her body and come out as a golden ball of light able to illuminate the tomb pathways leading in deeper and deeper while she continued to test its new abilities.

There was commotion further into the Valley, back towards where the Coalition camp was forming. The surge in sound came with an accompanying surge in the dark side; no surprise there. This was, after all, a planet thoroughly imbued with the darkness. The Sephi was tempted to go back to that area, going so far as even to pause and consider the idea before discounting it. There was no reason for him to head in that direction, they had plenty of Jedi and soldiers there, and it was a major gathering point for engineers and healers as well. He would just be another body in the way there.

He hadn't seen anyone over in this direction when he'd started walking, and nobody had passed him or headed this way when he was moving. Thus it was slightly unnerving to hear laughter coming from beyond the crest of the small hill, an almost maniacal laughter to boot. That couldn't be good. The Knight was abruptly aware how isolated it was out here, and of his proximity to a Dark Side tomb on a planet that could theoretically be called a dark side nexus. Frowning, he pulled the lightsaber hilt from the right of his belt and kept it in hand as he finished ascending the hill, though the blade was not ignited.

What confronted Audren was a single, lone woman. Unusual, but not so much so. What really surprised him was the position she was in. She knelt on her knees, supporting herself with a single arm. Her face wasn't pointed at the ground though, rather it pointed towards the sky. And the laugh was still going on. Disconcerting. He kept his distance, studying her through the Force and more common senses. Maybe she was insane, maybe she was suffering from something else. Either way, someone who was legitimately confident enough to think they could hold their own on a Dark Side planet - woman or man - was someone to be cautious about. He wasn't about to rush in for any reason, not when it might be an ambush.

"And you are?"

Dredge being on foot already had used his bike to explode the front line of the little camp, so the force push sent his way wouldn't really be strong enough to knock over a decent foot four hundred pound armored giant. The riders were still flying around on their backs towards Dredge's rear so a force push from a padawan wasn't about to knock over the calvary at the distance they were set at. However it was very noble of the Jedi to try, and for that Dredge would commend him for his efforts.

"The Jedi you say? I was under the assumption that it belonged to the Primeval, but I've been recently informed that they have since vacated." Dredge said as he stepped forward.

"But you'll just have to due now won't you?" Dredge looked at the young boy who faced him and couldn't help but smirk a bit behind his mask of shadows.

He could feel the pain in the boy's heart, the anger, the rage. He could feel what he wanted and in a way the two weren't very different, they both wanted to belong. But where Dredge's want for belonging and loneliness had driven him mad there was still some hope for this boy to do something good in their life.

Letting out an almost sensual and pleasurable groan and hum the Yuuzhan Vong Warlord bathed in the boy's bloodlust, he could feel every little negative emotion and it was beautiful.

"I can feel your hatred, just beneath your skin, simply begging to be released. To be unchained and set forth against your enemies, to crush maim and kill those weaker than yourself. Little Jedi Blue never quite ever really fitting in, always the black sheep, always wanting to resolve things with death and violence. They look down on you don't they? They think you're a danger, a rabid dog waiting to get put down, a freak."

"Like me." Dredge said as his fangs flashed from under his blackened helmet.

"But I know a killer when I see one, not a guardian of peace, a murderer. And I can tell you want to kill me oh so badly." Dredge said as he walked forward slowly.

The man picked up a wounded researcher from the ground as stomped across the sand step by step until he was only a few meters from the Jedi. Lifting up the gut shot woman by the neck the man cocked his head and stared at the boy.

"Do it boy, kill me. I'll even give you an excuse. Kill me and save this woman. What's your name dear?"

"Sam." The woman responded weakly as she clung to her side.

"Come on boy, do it! But we both know you want to kill me for the sheer fun of it. Kill me boy, be a man! Do it! Kill me! Do it!!" The man inhaled deeply and let out another bellow with the force.

"DO IT!!!"

Tempest ran over to where Siobhan lay covered in slug guts and other matter.
She wiped it off her visor and offered her a hand. “Up you get, ma’am, no time for lazing around!” she joked.

She looked around, winced. The squads had been badly hit by the attack.
“Maybe they should just hold position here. We can press on together?” Tempest asked.

Perhaps it was weakness or pragmatism, but she didn’t want to sacrifice more of her troops pushing further on.

“Or just collapse it on them.”

"Yes Master Lesan, the survey has been completed for the northeast and northwest of the valley. Your suggestion matches the reports, I will see to the droid immediately and meet you there". Abaigeal gave a quick bow before turning to her brother. Her eyes fell on the can he was eating from, "Growing boy needs his food I guess. How can you eat in a place like this?". She had to admire it really, Barini just could not care less.

"You coming with me?", she asked before contacting the freighters to have them move to the Northeast of the valley and wait for them. And what's up with his hair?

"Barini really? bottle blonde?", she teased. Abaigeal moved around the pyre, giving it a wide birth before heading up the end of the valley. Not many tombs or such here, the odd one of the lesser lords she supposed considering they are located at the end, but they did not look any more inviting to enter as the rest. They would head out on foot, the climb up the hill Master Lesan had chosen would not be an hard climb but still she could not get out of this place quick enough.

Allies: [member="Dune Rhur"]

Enemies: [member="Harley"]

The poet was not sure if the wormlike creatures were sithspawn or merely insectoid life that had been warped by the malign influence of the planet. Either way they seemed vicious , near mindless and set upon killing those who he considered comrades. Dune had wasted no time in launching a psychic assault killing two of the over sized chilopods in the blink of an eye. Reveling in the release of pent up predatory instincts driven into overdrive by the sinister nexus of power surrounding the godforsaken sphere Gwrtheyrn charged forth.

The ground seemed to melt away as the distance was closed in the span of two breaths. One of the wormlike monstrosities reared up to eviscerate a troopers bowels before Ashlas Mercy struck into the side of its head splattering the stones with ichor and what passed for brain matter among theses scuttling horrors. The next creature struck a blow from behind spewing a steaming glob of acid onto the Silver Jedi's golden carapace. Gwrtheyrn barley registered the pain as the corrosive substance bit through the amour plating and into the flesh beneath. Spinning he brought his greatsword down in a vertical slice dividing the creature in two before the blade crashed into the floor shaking the earth beneath and cracking the ground with the impact.

Steam rose from the wound as the caustic liquid finally evaporated. A potent cocktail of hormones rushing through the veins of the young Maelibus which utterly eclipsed the small chemical corrosion. A song of battle was on his lips and his sword had tasted the enemies sanguine humors. As it was the warrior poet barley batted an eyelid when the garishly painted harlequin harlot made her way from the entrance of the temple to stand before himself and Dune. It was the Jedi way to offer compassion and surrender to an enemy but the darkside clearly resonated with this one and the fight had just started.

With a short glance to Dune Gwrtheyrn began to advance on the slim blonde girl greatsword raised and ready to deliver a devastating blow.

((Flipped a coin. It wanted a bang.))

[member="Tempest"]

BAAM BAAM Worm-like abominations were blown apart by well-placed bolter salvoes. Tough and dangerous the creatures might be, but the Firemane soldiers were well-equipped and armoured. They were also disciplined enough not to panic and break ranks.

Siobhan accepted the proferred hand from Tempest and was pulled up. Corrosive acid had splashed upon her beskar armour, but it could not eat through it, though she winced from the blunt trauma she had suffered. There would be bad bruising on her arm. Bolts of Sith Lightning erupted from her good hand, causing spasms, agony and finally death as a worm was turned to a charred husk.

The whine of a thousand rounds being fired from a shattercannon erupted when a rancor charged and its skull was quite literally drilled. However, the dark mist was not lifting and the oppressive aura of darkness was only growing worse. The whispers in the darkness began to grow louder and louder, becoming a crescendo of voices. Mental shears were digging into her mind, seeking to slice through it. Her mental barriers were reinforced, but she could imagine how bad this must be for the soldiers.

"Agreed," she spoke tersely. "Girls, fall back. In order. Tempest and I are collapsing the academy!" Well, not all of it, but a good portion. The all-pervasive Dark Side aura made it difficult to sense anyone, but nonetheless a transmission was sent over the general SSC comms channel.

Perhaps [member="Gwrtheyrn"] and [member="Dune Rhur"] would receive it. They would presumably have enough time to escape. [member="Harley"] would presumably notice when the academy collapsed. Either way, the soldiers began to carry out a fighting retreat back to the exit as they cleared out, firing as they went. "Let's go."

Siobhan was the last one sprinting to the gates. Out of the thick, dark mist, ethereal shapes were arising. There was a loud cry when a Firemane soldier was run through by a shade. The tormented, malevolent spirits of long-dead Sith and their victims were being given shape. One of them, dressed as a king of old and with an aura that reeked of the Dark Side, reached out with his bony, spectral hand to grip Siobhan. Her body seemed to freeze as if paralysed as his claws dug into her mind. A spectral blade, born of the Force, manifested inside his grip and he stabbed her, for her armour offered no protection against the dark magicks.

Siobhan stumbled as she felt the blade pierce into her essence and begin to siphon it. Her body hit the ground as the last soldier left the academy. Her blood turned cold and she struggled to breathe. She felt a draining sensation as more and more spirits gripped her. Things began to turn dark for her as she felt her life force being leeched and her blood turned hill. Then she violently gripped the sword with her mind and, through sheer will, banished it.

She blotted out the voices, let the mental rams batter against her mind as she concentrated. Her telekinetic willpower was directed towards bringing the academy down. Cracks began to appear inside the ceiling, the walls and the ground itself shuddered as if they had been struck by strong tremors. Above, the webs of cracks spread mercilessly. Indeed, small fissures began to appear in the floor. The roof rumbled, chunks of ceiling began to clatter from it to the ground. Explosions, caused by det charges placed by Firemane soldiers, only increased the carnage.

Titanic telekinetic power was unleashed with a force equal to that of a devastating, raging tsunami to turn this unholy place into a tomb. Finally, there was a devastating noise, an epic crash like the end of times and a good portion of the academy caved in. The great, vaulted ceiling would collapse into dust, taking a good deal of the Sith Academy with it in the process. A large plume of smoke would rise up from the ruin into the air. The troopers were safe outside. Any Sith still inside would be having a bad day.

Krux gave the warning they needed to divert attention to the far end of the valley; a large dust cloud rolling towards them, with the unmistakable noise of both engines and war cries. The rolling swirl of orange dust and sand trailed the bikers, towards the Sanctum expedition and those in their way.

Their section of the Valley was now compromised and they had little choice but to take it back. In that instant, everything changed – the calm between the figures gave way to panic, fear and aggression. Screams from those Sanctum members not here to fight were clear to hear, and those who were willing rushed to try and create a perimeter and take cover behind what they could; erected crates, fallen pillars and other parts of the valley buried in the sand.

Connor watched it all happen, before running to the right and away from the incoming riders to take care of the vulnerable Sanctum members and move them back as quickly as he could.

”Come on, get back to the transport – stay inside, it’s alright,” he urged quietly.

Looking up, the fleet above were too thinly spread to help in their situation; too much collateral damage for a strike or orbital assault. Another element caught his eye atop a higher pillar; Krux using Force Lightning. Connor brought up his hand to his eye line and looked at the scars on his knuckles and soft pink flesh of his fingers that he had caused using Force Lightning in an aggressive, violent attack. If Krux wasn’t careful, he’d follow the same wounds, internally and externally, if he used it for aggression. If one left Korriban alive, then Electric Judgement would be something he would try and teach to replace the more dangerous Lightning.

Keeping low, Connor ran behind an incline created by both natural sand and a half-toppled pillar that had once held a large structure up above. The roar of the riders, the shouts from the warriors and the hum of lightsabers was evident, and he shook his head. This was already out of hand, and there was now a greater threat to deal with than just an internal one.

Rolling up his sleeves on the blue tunic, he rubbed his chin and unhooked his lightsaber hilt from his belt which hadn’t been used in a long time. He had spent more time teaching others, guiding others, and helping others over being a warrior – partly afraid of what he would do in such a situation, and partly to avoid the risk of hurting others as he always seemed to do.

Suddenly, there was a crack in the air, a shockwave that hit them gently and echoed through the valley. Connor turned onto his back and glanced across at the landscape, and then back around looking for – there – a plume of smoke rising from beyond the Valley itself. It seemed it wasn’t just these riders who were leading an attack on the Sanctum. He hoped nobody was hurt.

Another cry boomed out, and a scream, and a voice – the Jedi Cloudburner. There was a dangerous amount of venom inside the youth, one born out of a desire to do everything and anything for “the Light”. But Connor knew that feeling, and it was more dangerous to one as vulnerable as Cloudburner, and if Karen couldn’t quell that rage, nothing would. He had to act now.

Turning onto the incline, Connor exhaled and closed his eyes to summon the natural Force around him, one that had been brewing inside over months of self-exile. He pushed onto the sand and ran up the incline, seeing Krux again atop the high pillar, and vaulting off the broken debris on the sand, Connor jumped over.

He was behind the booming Sith warrior, which was unexpected, but fine – he focused on the ground and accelerated himself down and pushed outwards as he did to the pale soil underneath, his cowl billowing outwards as he fell. Landing on the ground with a powerful push of Force energy, he slammed the earth and rock into a violent rippling shockwave outwards where he landed to disrupt not just the riders, but their leader and anyone in harm’s way.

Not waiting, Connor took himself away from everything and centred himself for the one purpose he was here – protect the Sanctum and his allies. Blue eyes fixed on nothing as his blue blade emerged from the dust in a sharp snap-hiss of blue energy, he stood and instantly swiped out to the nearest grunt and cut him down, before turning and shoulder barging another.

”If it’s a fight you want, you take me on first, Sith!”

It was always true of Connor; a man with nothing to lose is the most dangerous.

The Valley of the Dark Lords officially became engulfed in battle. Some part of Mullarus, deep in his heart, felt sorrow to see a place so full of lore for the Sith be full of exploding speeders, blaster fire, and slaughtered innocents. The Sith wouldnt care, of course, but the blood tainted the value of the Valley in Krux's eyes. This was a place of history and knowledge, and here it was serving as a battlefield.

The giant, armored Sith...this was his fault

Krux heard the monster yelling below, and his eyes widened as he saw [member="Cloudburner"] standing before him. How noble, yet...not noble! Where was his master?! He's just a Padawan, he could-

Just as Krux was about to leap down to help him, [member="Connor Harrison"] made a dramstic entrance. He watched for a second, then nodded. Yeah, i'm getting a piece of this.

Just as his master did, Krux jumped down from his perch atop the pillar and landed in the dust beside Connor, giving his dark-blue lightsaber a twirl as the core of the blade sparked like lightning, holding his blade at the ready. "You take us on, Sith." he declared.

He glanced across from the Sith to [member="Cloudburner"], calling out to him, "Don't you give into your anger, Padawan! The Dark Side will destroy you, just as it did this poor excuse of a beast! You're already on the right path, and i'm proud of you for it!"

"Stand back, Master Harrison. This is my fight to partake in, and I will do it alone."

He wanted to kill this evil beast before it killed any more innocent people, he did not care for the taunting and himself. He knew that his place was within the Jedi, dead or alive.

"You will let her go or die. I do not play games with the lives of innocent."

He would then listen to what Krux Mullarus would have to say.

"Thank you, but my place is killing this monster. I will not let him get away with the murder of innocent people. Sith and Jedi have always fought over the years, but killing innocent people is unnecessary, and I will end him for it."

He thought of a new technique. It was risky, and could end up with him dying, but there was a chance the Sith would not expect it. He would throw his lightsaber at the Sith and run with all his speed, and Force Jump over the Sith Lord and kill him from behind, saving the civilian and killing the Sith.

The strong presence of Krux was instantly beside him, and everything they had spoken of seemed to come together at this point – unified in a common goal which was the crux no pun intended of a strong Jedi teacher and student.

However, Cloudburner was still blinded by the shadow across his vision. Connor held his blue lightsaber outwards, pointing towards the hulking Sith as he spoke over towards the Padawan, an eerie standoff forming between both Jedi, Sith and the innocents caught in the middle.

”Cloudburner, control yourself at once,” Connor said; not sharp, but with fully resolve. ”If you don’t listen to Krux then listen to me – I’ve stood where you are now and if the stories you heard about me are true then you don’t want to let your quest for bloodlust drag you down to his level for you will experience them too and suffer at your own hand.”

His eyes flicked past the Sith to the Padawan.

”We do this together or not at all. If I have to protect you, I will.”

Like flies to honey the Jedi began to come forward wanting to sacrifice themselves for one another, save each other from the big bad darkness. It was entertaining to say the least, and while Dredge certainly enjoyed fun and games it was about time to start getting real about the whole situation. A Jedi master had landed behind him along with his padawan sending a few of his speeder bound Graug crashing into the dirt to cause various wrecks and explosions, no one who would be missed. Various cries of "fight me" and "take me on" we're shouted at the monster but the one thing Dredge responded to was "You will let her go."[/color]

"Alright." The monster said casually.

There was a slight cry of pain followed by a sickening snap of bone being crushed, and soon the little blonde researcher was dead in the monster's hand. But he wasn't quite done there, when the padawan threw his saber the monster extended his arm and let the blade slide the body in two letting it's lower half drop down to the ground.

As for the rest of the lightsaber strike all it did was spark off of the man's hardened breastplate and skitter back to it's owner. This wasn't some cheaply made armor, this was the Dark Lord of the Sith's armor. Emperor Vulcanus the last ruler of the Sith empire and it was going to take a lot more than a throw from a lightsaber to end him. It would take precision dismantling and focus a padawan clouded by the darkside didn't have.

"I've let get go from her mortal coil." Dredge laughed as he threw the woman's torso aside and turned to face the three Jedi that were now behind him.

"So let's chat, I imagine you have all seen the secondary raiding party that ran off before you got here. Well right now they have a poor little Jedi padawan and other Jedi personnel and I'd say in the next, oh." Dredge raised up his wrist to check the time.

"Fifteen minutes." Dredge said as he lowered his hand.

"They're about to get hungry. Now let me tell you a Graug can eat, I've seen them go through a body that ways two hundred pounds in less than three minutes. Now to save you all the details you won't have to bury bones if you do one little thing for me." Dredge lifted it and pointed it at Cloudburner.

"Him, I want him. Give him to me and I let your little friends walk free, you have my word as a villainous scumbag. Or we can fight here for the next few minutes, you would probably eventually kill me, which believe me I'm only looking forward to. But then whose gonna tell little Jedi paddy's parents you got their daughter eaten by monsters in a dark crypt. Rather wasteful if you ask me."

"But back to the point, the boy, hand him over." Dredge said as his one red eye shined through the shroud of his helmet.

The researchers body was mutilated, broken, destroyed. The Jedi lowered his eyebrows and stood menacingly staring into the soul of the dead girl.

"Nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!"

He knew to not give in to his hatred, that would mean the Sith had already won. He instead thought of the happiest moments in his life, like he usually does when things like this happen.

"You will not turn me to the Dark Side. My journey begins with slaying you!"

He force pushed the Sith and threw his lightsaber directly at him.
