It was not often that one came across a living goddess.

In fact as far as Kazmai knew this was the very first encounter his people had ever had with their pantheon. Oh, there was always talk, but none of it that could ever be conclusively proved. But this was the real thing, was it not? The trickster goddess of luck, Da'shee herself. In truth the simian wasn't surprised that he was the one who would look upon one of their Gods.

No, it made sense.

Who else could be considered worthy enough for such an honor? When she confirmed that his luck was in safe golden paws Kaz breathed just an inch easier, until the second stipulation came. Food? Hunger... Kaz looked up, sneaking a glance, before looking down again. "Goddess, the.. squishy things have been routed from these parts of the food, but-"

Whatever else would have been said next was interrupted as a blinding light, fire and heat, scorched through the atmosphere and impacted the ground clicks away from their location.

Now Kaz looked up in earnest, climbing back to his feet and carefully picking up the hammer, while dusting himself off.

"Blinding fire burns bright, oh Radiant One, if luck is with us the pilot will be a meal of meals for you."

"Long time no see, friend." For mere moments, a wicked grin claimed had his mouth curving upwards. If he recalled correctly, his adversary hadn't appreciated being referred to as a friend their last encounter. So Cairyn put extra emphasis on the word, never wasting an opportunity to be annoying when it suited him. And it very much did suit him at the moment. Current events, mixed with memories of the last battle's outcome, had the boy acting in deliciously gratifying spite. "Still reciting old creeds?"

His opponent - one whose name he didn't recall learning - had certainly changed since they first butted heads. Once the apprentice, now the one commanding a few of them. Cairyn had undergone some changes too, though they were perhaps more subtle. Well, save for the Orbalisks. The bugs were perhaps the best cosmetic decision the boy had made. But aside from them, the boy's growth was far more subtle. On the topic of parasites, the little guy quite literally inside his head were a thing. His eyes, always a bright green, had lost a bit of their blue, leaning toward the more yellow hues. Overall, the boy's form had just started shaping into some form more mature.

His eyes narrowed, staring down his opponent. "Oh, I won't be the one needing saving." He said this before the shockwave hit, of course. When the telekinetic attack did hit, however, his knees buckled, hunkering down to just barely avoid being knocked over completely. That didn't do much when an unlucky soul knocked into him, being that final push to make him topple over. Scrambling to his feet, his lightsaber which had been deactivated to greet his old adversary, was ignited once more, finding purchase in the skull of whoever had run into him, the boy paying no mind as to whether they were friend or foe.

Objective: Evacuate as many civilians as possible, attempt resolving a public health problem

Enemies: SE [member="John Becken"] [member="Baron Morcus"]

"You're the first Jedi that even contacted us about the Thyferra attack. Do you have any information about the extent of the damage already caused on Thyferra?" the public health official asked Cathul.

"Large-scale forest fires, the main two cities of the planets have been attacked with incendiaries"

"Poodoo. Then how many bacta-producing ships do you suggest us to order?"

"Ideally each planet should have one, with the major population centers requiring more, so perhaps 150 units"

"That is going to be borne out of our crisis budget"

What kind of Jedi does the NJO even house these days? she thought, while she pursued her conversation with the GA public health officials. In her mind, there ought to be a Jedi or two that actually wanted to protect innocents by means other than fighting evil head-on, on the ground or in space. So she would systematically handle diplomatic missions with social housing components and public health components whenever possible. Few Jedi even had a clue as to how to go around resolving issues other than security ones; they ought to be grateful to her, provided that they could do the job. With all 17 squadrons that could outfit Djinn cluster missiles being outfitted with two rounds of this ammunition, Cathul began formulating a plan to engage whatever enemy there would be, while Muunilinst taught her that Sith preferred to fight at short ranges. Airborne medvac is a risky business if air superiority is under contention, especially when facing enemies that could shoot at medvac; the white Twi'lek understood as much. She was confident that Tanith could run the battle by herself if she feels that battle meditation is necessary, but she knew it was more effective within standard turbolaser range of an enemy than if she stayed out of heavy turbolaser range. Upon reversion over Thyferra, the fleet is arrayed in high orbit, she realizes there is something amiss in the planet's airspace.

"We have arrived over Thyferra"

"Admiral, there are four Star Destroyers over Xucphra in atmosphere, and Xucphra's airspace is going to give a much tougher time since they have arrayed several squadrons of enemy fighters over the city" the sensor technician reported in.

"Standard, heavy and long-range turbolaser range just do not mean the same in atmosphere as they mean in orbit. We have to take the fight to atmosphere, high atmosphere perhaps, but all capital ships, stay out of heavy turbolaser range from Xucphra. Keep the hospital ships in low orbit, commence evacuation of the main two cities, prioritize the wounded civilians"

"Roger, roger"

"Concentrate all long-range fire on the nearest Star Destroyer! Gotta kill those pizza slices in detail here. As for the fighter squadrons deployed over Xucphra, once standard turbolaser range is entered from the city's airspace, fire the cluster missiles at the enemy fighters"

Running two operations at once necessitated some command personnel to handle each aspect. While the first set of 32 ambulances began to make for atmosphere around Xozhixi, ready to collect injured civilians, the second set of 32 ambulances headed towards Xucphra would realize that the city's airspace is filled with fighters. Mostly TIEs, but she knew that dark-sided factions usually didn't put a whole lot of stock on carrier tactics or attack craft. Once the 15 squadrons of fighters that could carry the cluster missiles arrived within standard turbolaser range of Xucphra's airspace, they revealed 180 cluster missiles, which split up into a total of 900 concussion missiles within five kilometers of their targets, ready to pick off enemy fighters. In addition, once the fleet is within the specified atmospherical long-range turbolaser range of the nearest Star Destroyer, it is going to be beset by a whole slew of long-range fire, with the understanding that there was going to be a lot more hostiles than friendlies being killed by the debris, with most of the civilians within Xucphra being dead even before she could make it to Thyferra's orbit: 48 energy torpedoes, thirty 420mm APHE HVC rounds, six bursts of 88mm HVCs, twenty-two heavy long-range solar ionization cannons, as well as a flurry of heavy long-range turbolasers and ion cannons whose total yield was over a thousand turbolasers. Also, from the angle at which the fleet was positioned, targeting one destroyer may well hit another one given the vagaries of fighting in atmosphere, which made accuracy not perfect.

"Soldiers..," Brak grunted. "Looks Alliance."

Kinsey pocketed the comm and froze as a voice slipped and slicked into her mind. For a hot second, it reminded her too much of Sage Bane. Heart rate increased a mite. No. It wasn't him. The master illusionist wasn't here to reclaim his lost prize.

Didn't have time to think much more about it as gunfire erupted a street over. She wanted to run. Wasn't her fight. Wasn't Brak's fight. Wesseq could chew her arse out later.

There was a kid's scream in that general direction.

Feth. Chitting kark.

Starburst blues that seemed almost too big for her face snapped to Brak's questioning look as he noticed her change in demeanor. "Nearby Sith," she huffed.

"Figured. Sticking to the plan?"

Hand dropped to her blaster and she gave a sharp nod. "Get those out we can."
And that was it. She took off toward that scream and toward the gunfire and toward the Sith who had spoken in her mind. Even though her muscles screamed to do the opposite.

His men hadn't even offered them a chance to surrender. And what about the people in this rubble? They hadn't been given a chance either. So why was this Sith offering one now?

Oh, Luca did notice.

And it was annoying him.

Immensely.

There wasn't much he could do about it though, because no matter of their personal relationship outside of the battlefield... on the battlefield? Caecus was his boss, judge and executioner for all intents and purposes. She signed his checks, she lead him from one battle to the next and Thorne would follow her lead regardless of his own personal feelings in the mix. He wasn't a forcer though and didn't feel the strangeness from Aryn. Just his own annoyance at her sloppiness. It had been different before Kal Huro.

He wondered what had happened to that.

:: Unless you got another missive from Zambrano over the mental ether, we still got our mission, Kith :: Luca warned as he drew them further away from the fires of that district and into the next one. :: It don't include playing footsie with some greenhorn Jedi boy :: But he could feel the stubbornness radiating from her and apparently her mind was set on this.

So Luca fell back on being the brain, while she was the heart.

Just like on Felucia.

Slowly he would guide them through an open door, where the shadows reached tall and they would have the advantage. :: The things I do for you. :: Up to and including agreeing to executing her, if she ever went crazy.

Joy.

Goddess.

Oh, she liked that, yes. Ao stood a little taller, arched her neck a little prouder (which was a feat, rest assured, because Ao was already a proud creature). If the dark side was the path to godhood, as she suspected, then surely worship such as this were the trail blazes that marked the passage.

The warmth of the fire in the night, the careful words and bowing intonation of the being before her almost made up for the bad tasting bug thing and the news that there likely was no more nearby.

Almost.

The sound of the ship whining through the atmosphere reached her ears, swiveling in their direction, her head arcing up and tilting curious as it flashed overhead. The brief moment where the sound was the loudest caused her ears to flatten back against her skull, mustache shivering in discomfort for a pair of heartbeats before the pitch shifted once again as it drew farther away. The crash itself was distant enough (not far, but enough) to not be too objectionable, and she flicked her tail in annoyance, not appreciating the disruption to what had been a fairly enjoyable event so far until-

The Xykan's head canted suddenly in the other direction, looking back at Kaz.

"Luck is always with those who travel by my side," she said primly, finally stepping down off of the rise and toward him. She looked him up and down (significantly taller than she was standing on all fours, but hairy and rank with the scent of primate that reached her delicate nose even over the scent of the fire) for a moment.

"What are you called?"

Soft booted-feet traveled quickly down the stairwell. Green fingers wrapped tightly around the comm, still held up to her lips. "No. Staying there makes more sense. Be careful Gabe. Medvac ground transport should be here soon. I'll keep the comm on me."

She could hold it. She had to hold it. "You two get some weapons. I have a feeling we'll need them." The same bothan and human who helped her on the roof nodded and exited on a different floor as the Mirialan went on down. Door swished open to the ground floor. The force echoed a warning and her jaw clenched.

Myrtle-ellipses widened. Something retribution. A frozen nurse. A crimson saber on a spiky hilt of a sith. The stairwell exit put Taheera between the sith and the nurse. The master healer didn't hesitate. The force welled from her green palm as it snapped forward, releasing as a concussive push toward the sith's torso with the intention to push, stumble, flatten, or send him flying back on his rear from whence he came.

The message was clear; let's take this outside.

There were loud bursts of radio chatter as reports of local starfighters above began pestering artillery positions with fire. The armored Sith Knight would sneer from beneath his helmet as he broadcasted to friendly airborne units, " Deal with the enemy and regain air superiority. If you fail in this endeavor, I will shoot you all down myself. " The armored Sith would turn back to the city as it continued to burn. Skyscrapers continued to buckle and fall under the weight they could no longer support as his Harbingers continued to strike critical supports from kilometers away. It was indeed a wonderful sight to behold...For the Sith that is, and not so much for the residents that made the capital their home.

The female lieutenant to his side would raise a hand to her helmet as she received an incoming transmission before turning to the Knight. " Sir, Imperial reinforcements are requesting to land. " The Sith Knight would raise a hand and wave her off, his gesture for giving her the okay. The Lieutenant would speak into her helmet in response to clear their landing at Vexen's position. Not long after an Imperial transport would arrive. Vexen would not turn to greet their arrival until the individual disembarking and in charge had directly spoken to him. He would turn around as he sized the elderly looking man up and down.

While Vexen did not care for those who pledged their allegiance outside of the Sith Empire when they possessed a title that revolved around the Force, their assistance in this retaliation was still noted, regardless of how inferior or soft he saw the Imperial's training of Force Users. The armored knight would speak in a seemingly uninterested vocoded voice as he turned back to the burning city, the loud roars of Harbingers firing off one by one, " Noted...Grand Inquisitor...Your reinforcements are much appreciated as we make preparations to march on their city and exterminate what roaches remain. None are to be spared in this retaliation against this pitiful Galactic Alliance. "

In contrast to Ophidia, Kaida was very fond of ice. There was a beauty to it. She thrived in the biting, stinging cold. She was not keen on tropical planets, and even less on desolate deserts. The heat irritated her. The same applied to the coarse sand, but this one digresses. Boom. The sonic blast slammed into the ground, she did not receive the tell-tale signsl that her attack had impacted upon a target. Such as groans, a cry of pain or a loud thud as a body hit the slippery ground.

All around her, the larger battle continued as the smoke cleared. Hiding behind whatever they'd found, the guards unleashed a barrage of blaster bolts towards the Sith troopers, accompanied by grenades they lobbed in. It was all background noise to Kaida. No doubt soldiers on 'her' side perished in the furious firefight. She did not care much. So she blotted it out, drowning out the shouts, cries of pain and the whine of blasters.

Instead, she focused on her target, though it eluded her physical sight. She figured her quarry was using tech to achieve obfuscation. Perhaps they had pulled back and sought another means of getting inside...or they were no longer on the floor.

Then she felt as if a veil had been lifted from her eyes, when a dark Force aura was revealed, as the Sith lifted the shroud. Kaida could still not see her opponent with her physical eyes, but she could follow the threads of power. Mist rose into the air, not only obfuscating her own presence but also playing a part in helping her find her quarry. How so? Because movement caused slight distortions in the fog.

Her preternatural senses tingled - not the extrasensory perception all Force-users possessd, but something more elemental: Magnetism. And so she willed herself to 'look'. A personal cloaking device could not prevent a magnetic scan. The threads brought her gaze towards the ceiling. Stretching out with the Force, she attempted to wrap a powerful telekinetic grip around the shape that crawled along like a spider. And then throw her enemy back down to the icy floor. She hoped for a painful body slam. One hand held her battle shield. Her lightsabre was ready.

An ominous, hollow laughter seemed to bounce off every surface, filling the mind of Lord Aurum's foe like an infection, ringing and rolling like a thick fog which never seemed to rest upon one spot. In the middle of this haze stood Drios, his eyes glinting with amusement and an insatiable desire for one thing. A kill. He could feel his anger, the hatred weeping like pus from a boil from Cairyn, and he relished in the satisfaction of getting to the boy.

Drios observed the Teevan as he was toppled by one of his own allies and immediately slain him, something which caused great amusement to the Epicanthix Duke. His eyes lingered for a moment at the living armour which coated his foe in an impenetrable coat, impervious to lightsaber damage and vulnerable to only one thing Drios' mind could conjure. Something which the Shadow of Death could conjure, but he wanted Cairyn to remain ignorant to the Sith's knowledge.

It would be a shame to kill him as he was clearly bitter about getting his derriere handed to him on Bast, something which could be exploited further after his next beat-down session. Upon Cairyn's ignition, the Lord raised his blade slightly ready to preemptively deflect an assault. All of a sudden, the laughter subsided and was replaced with an equally unnerving, equally baleful voice.

"I know you remember me, Cairyn Midore. Back then, I was but an apprentice. Now, I am the Master and you, and your pitiful 'friends' shall bow to me, and bow to the Dark Lord." upon the word 'bow', Drios once more extended a hand and attempted to force the Knight into a bowing position, contorting his fingers to apply pressure simply to cause discomfort.

As lovely as their little conversation was Nyra got a poor reading from all the parties involved. She straight up couldn’t trust the bounty hunter, as she couldn’t trust most of the sith around her, because his mind was puss filled with duplicity. The Jedi was a noble type but there was no telling with those hypocrites what they might do.

Reaching out with her whip Nyra swung to a nearby ruined building. Nimbly she landed on a perch before releasing her whip, sitting down, and watching the show. “Just so you know,” she said to the two parties, “I don’t have all the time in the world. I got to get this little case out of here.” she paused dramatically. “I suggest you

Then Nyra saw the bounty hunter engage firing his weapon straight at the Jedi. Peaceful Jedi too. The universe needed more Jedi like him… all the better for her to get away with things. “Oh and believe it or not, I’m the good guy in this scenario.” She winked ascending the sheer walls of the building. “Gunna save a lot of lives and make myself even more wealthy.” reaching a perch she sat down and started to watch the possible fight content to see the way the wind was going to blow before darting away.

"Ma'am! More fighters approaching from the front!"

Commander Colsin's head snapped forward, and her eyes grew wide. Another squadron?! Where the hell had they come from?! No matter, no matter. If she didn't think quickly, they were going to get caught in a hammer and anvil maneuver, and a lot of her pilots were going to die. That could not be allowed.

"Nose dives, now! Get the hell out of the sky!"

She tilted her controls low, and Blue Squadron followed, accelerating as fast as they could get safely, hurtling downwards. The engines of their fighters let out the signature TIE shriek as they plummeted towards the earth, screaming like beasts in agony. Two squadrons? Where the hell had two squadrons come from? The second squadron had seemed to almost manifest out of thin air. It disturbed her. Surely, their sensors should have warned them sooner than that? She bit at her lower lip.

"Up, now!"

Moments before hitting the ground, the squadron evened out, flying low amongst the buildings once more. Another fighter, above them? Dammit, she didn't have time to deal with that. Cursing, she focused her attention forward. It wasn't her problem, anymore. She had to get to Stiletto Company. Now.

"Stiletto Actual, this is Blue Leader. Another squadron of bogeys is on us. Coming in hot, get your big guns ready to fire. Danger close."

Kamon affected a quick protection bubble before darting across the room and through a door, avoiding being in the line of fire while his bubble eventually failed. He was never really gifted at that sort of thing so he wasn't going to be able to keep it up for long.

"You know, you're a Sith I can like. I don't even mind you making a profit," he called to the woman as she scaled the wall to leave. "You'll forgive me, though, if I follow to make sure you keep your word. This bounty hunter is annoying anyway."

He darted across and jumped through an already destroyed window, flying across to land on the ruined floor of the building she was climbing up. Gifted she certainly was. He called a saber to his hand to keep it at the ready for whatever impending barrage might be coming from the annoying one with the uncivilized weapon. It was inevitable, after all. They didn't usually give up on a mark.

"If you keep this up, you know," he called to the bounty hunter, "you are going to force me to hurt you. I'd rather not do so, but you're a threat not just to me. So why don't you just leave?"

He jumped up to the next level, glancing across to the armored man as he continued to follow the girl.

The blow came, as he expected. He just didn't expect it to be such a provoking, thoughtless blow. It dawned on him rather quickly that she was in fact, testing him. Fel weighed his options in the spaces between seconds as the Sith's lightsaber came flying towards his body. His Center of Being stance allowed him to parry the blow, the red blade meeting the blue. His feet stood firm, bladed with his right foot forward, his body turned to the left, his eyes narrowing at her. He held his blade diagonally, the hilt of his lightsaber near his ribcage, to parry her blow.

He was a practitioner of Djem So, also known to some Jedi as the Krayt Dragon form. Fel was a physical man, beginning to bulk up in his young age. It was a requirement of Djem So to be more physical, unlike the graceful elegance of Makashi or the acrobatic nature of other lightsaber forms. He had to press the attack, against the smaller Sith woman. That was the only way he was going to win. He had to maintain a balanced aggression, without succumbing to the darker impulses of combat.

He brought his blade above his head only slightly, and then downward in a chop-like motion.

Djem So practicioners called it the Falling Avalanche, a move designed nothing more than to break an opponent's defenses by bringing your full strength onto him. The Shorak man couldn't help but let out a growl of aggression as he did so.

The sensation that trembled through his body felt like a moment of ecstasy, the pure excitement almost causing his body to sway. After all, Orion hadn't the chance to purely unleash the beast within his very being. Such actions he was about to take would cause more damage later on, but that wasn't what mattered. What mattered was that Orion wanted to do it. It was like a festering guilt washed over him, he knew it had to be done. He shook the weakened thought from his mind and stepped forward. The red saber lifted ever so slightly and just before the constraints of his character were broken, the light interrupted. The giddy emotion that came so quickly, dissipated. It vanished as a wash of mental alarms tugged at him through the force. The feeling never changed, a constant needle pricking about in his mind. The image of a bright spear attacked his mental fortitude, almost as if to warn him that a Jedi was close, too close.
He could sense the Jedi, trailing downwards toward him like a torrent of viral worthlessness. It was unfortunate that the circumstances had drastically changed so quickly. Without hesitation he lunged the saber forward, but in turn could feel the thundering ripple of the force slam heavily into him. The nurse yelped, the tip of the saber shifting vertically. The crimson wrath of his personal tool of destruction would finally get a taste. The crackle of the saber struck true just before Orion was thrown violently backward. A bellowing scream reached his ears, there it was, the sound of terror. It's sweet melody swam in his mind like a symphony of delight. Orion was truly a disturbed Zelosian. His green eyes shifted to the pain he caused, a limp hand lifelessly twinged on the ground. Dark marks of charred skin prevented blood to spill from the wound, the intense burn had cauterized it on impact. It was beautiful to see, before Orion was tossed through the doorway and into the main entrance of the building. The nurse had been turned into a patient, the irony forced laughter from him. The chrome mask concealing his amusement as he did.
The force that flung him ferociously away from the nurse caused one unfortunate thing. The loss of his first saber. It mattered little to him anyways. With weapons like the War's Edge at his waist and a few of his own little tricks, he would be fine. Regardless, the Jedi wanted a fight, but she wasn't without intelligence either. She forced him away from the rest of the patients and nurses, smart move. The only thing that showed Orion, was her main weakness. If he could find a way to shift the fight back into the narrow hallway of the ground floor clinic, he could raze the place in chaos. It would be difficult judging by the strength of the Jedi's signature, however, Orion had his ways. Finally he landed, chairs from the entrance room crashed into the back end of his shins. His feet slid across the floor, until the threading of his boots gained traction and he bent forwards to forcefully stop himself. His hand stretched outward to the ground as a black glove encased it. As soon as Orion made contact he was a stone, unwavering as the constant tsunami of clear energy washed past him. The force push was strong and unrelenting, unlike the others he had been faced with in previous encounters. He wouldn't have time to mess around with this one, he could feel it.
The Jedi that now stood before him, in the distance of the narrow doorway, was a Mirialan. He rarely dealt with their kind, let alone visited their native planet of Mirial. It was fascinating to him that he consistently found new and surprising species to kill. This one would be no different. As he rose to straighten himself upright he sighed. Nothing was ever easy, but nothing was ever meant to be. The darkside coveted him like a cold blanket of snow. Even as the fires outside continued their reign, Orion was like a block of ice. Stiff and waiting for the next move. His eyes locked with the Jedi, slits of emerald sinking into Taheera's like daggers. There was no turning back, for either of them.
It wouldn't be long before Orion dealt with the green Jedi. Then like he had always meant to, would continue his onslaught of the weak.
For they did not belong...

Something hurtled through the treetops above him and Tiland paused, covering his head with arm as sticks and branches plummeted towards the ground. He sensed a life presence still, still holding on bravely and courageously. Must have been a fighter pilot. They were all odd that way. Not unlike a Jedi, but they embraced the recklessness of their profession.

But still, the pilot would likely need assistance, and that was something that Tiland could provide. He strode off through the jungle, his staff tapping along a rhythm. Life signs still existed, although they were faint. Besides, the trail was easy enough to see. Smoke trickled through the wilds, wafting on hot winds that carried the scent of ash and blood.

Other life forms wandered through the jungle, but he could tell little of their nature. The Force was too muddied now, to roiling, too disturbed by the wanton slaughter. This was the Force out of balance. Life and death fueled each other, a cycle of rebirth that would continue forever. But this? This was the nature of the Sith. They through the Force out of balance in their slaughter. And in such a way, they brought destruction to themselves as well. Their own destiny was hampered by such behavior.

He paused as he reached the site of the crash. Smoke curled around the wrecked ship. An X-wing, by the looks of it. One of theirs. Tiland wrapped a piece of cloth around his face and strode into the inferno.

"I'm here to help!" He called out to the pilot as he darted through the wreckage, looking to pull this pilot out from the wreckage.

As soon as I came over the top of the ledge, I saw a soldier spin around with other troopers around him. All of their firearms were raised up and pointed directly at me. Eyes widening, I am sure that his mind was blocked off, but the other individual was not. She allowed it in, yet did not speak. I guess I would have to deal with this soldier while I tried to come to some reasoning with this woman. The man's mind was tight and defended very well. Even for someone who wasn't very powerful in the force. Likely resistant, or had made barriers over years worth of practice and time. This man was a soldier and had faced many before. I should not underestimate him.

As the bolts came flying at me, I dropped down by stepping forward and using the force to soften the sudden drop and stop to the ground. The bolts that struck above me broke through and damaged the roof unlike a normal blaster bolt. No, these guns were disruptiors. If I got shot by one of these, then I would be vaporized. As I had no weapons that required focus within my hands, They opened up like giant claws that hung upside down. And with a flick of my wrists, the local flames from around the area converged upon the group of men. Twisting and swirling around them. However, as soon as I touched these flames, they were not normal.

At best, normal flames burning from wreckage could heat up a house, or burn wood. My flames, influenced and empowered with the force could melt through metals and armor in a few moments. Any exposed flesh would burn rapidly as the heat required to melt metal was thousands of degrees hotter than simply burning wood.

My attention was adverted as I once more attempted to contact the female. I did say I would only allow one chance to escape, but as the soldiers were trained to fight sith, I'd give them some leway if the Knight called them off of me.

"Unlike my kindred Sith, I do not wish death. Last and final warning. Speak to me and I will stop, or face my flames."

It was true and sincere in every way. I never wished death upon those who came and fought against me. I hated the idea of fighting those who did not deserve to die. Soldiers were just doing their job. They can back off and prevent their death. However, if they chose to stay and fight, then I will end them. Either by the force, my fists, or blade.

Roth let a small smile twitch across his lips. The TIE squadron dove towards the ground, before pulling up. Roth didn't follow them into the city streets. Instead, he and the squadron stayed above, at full speed. Winds and flames screamed by. A sensor dinged and Roth nodded. The enemy squadron was in range and all bottled beneath them in a city streets.

"Weapons free."

With those words, the squadron opened fire, computers locked onto the ships below. He wasn't sure who their commander was, but that had seemed like a poor tactical decision. The buildings hampered their maneuverability and locked their flights into predictable flight plans. They really only had one direction to go. Yes, it was three dimensional, but that was far easier to adjust. Almost easier, as one could easily fly into the barrage of laser fire that now arced into their midst.

The computer locked into a target, but the Force nudged him, aiming just ahead as he caught a glimpse of their course of action. His thump pressed down on the trigger and lasers arced down towards one of the fighters.

Yet still, the anti-air companies waited for them ahead. At least for a little while. He sent the illusory squadron, after an appropriate salvo at the squadron, arcing towards the batteries. Those were accompanied by the memories he had of experiencing air-strikes. The explosions and chaos. It would look convincing, that was certain.

He rolled the joystick to one side and pulled aside as his ships behind him moved in on the attack, strafing just ahead of the ships. So the squadron rolled ahead in waves, with each one falling back to recharge shields and ensure weapons were primed at the functional, so that the laser fire came in waves.

Commander Colsin knew she had made a mistake when the first of her fighters went up in a ball of flame and shrapnel. In an instant, Blue Six was down. Then Blue Nine. Three. Eleven. Five. Ten.

One by one, unable to fire back, Blue Squadron was blown to bits. Colsin felt her stomach drop, her heart pound, her hands shake and sweat. Almost there, almost there, she was almost there. It was just her and Blue Two, now. Goddammit all, one foolish decision and she had gotten almost every one of her pilots killed. Ten good men and women, turned to ash and metal on the streets below.

"Blue Leader to Stiletto Actual, it doesn't look like we're going to make it to you. Too many bogies, flew down when I shouldn't have."

A laser blast took down her shields, and she ground her teeth together. Dammit. Damn it all to hell.

"Almost complete casualties. Just two of us left, now."

Slightly behind her, Blue Two caught a blast in the wing, and careened into the nearby building, exploding.

"Make that one. Just me, now. The hostile squadron should get to your position momentarily. Give them hell. Blue Squadron, out."

She sighed deeply to herself, closing her eyes. Stupid. So stupid. How could she have been so blind? Well, she supposed it didn't really matter, then. It was over. Another blast impacted the ball of her Interceptor. The ship went up in flames. Commander Syrena Colsin felt a searing heat, then knew nothing.

The bounty hunter would maintain his distance as he activated his rocket boots, drifting from one roof to the next as he kept suppressive bursts of fire on the Jedi to keep him at a distance. The bounty hunter would keep an eye on his HUD as it fed him environmental information to keep him from crashing into anything as well as the distance the Jedi and the thief were at. The hunter glided from one roof to another, keeping pace with the thief to keep her in range. While the head of a Jedi fetched a nice price, so would be an experimental formula for a healing agent. Might as well keep his eyes on the real prize.

There would be a loud screech from above as bits and pieces of tall buildings began crashing down, the screams of rounds moving at hypersonic speeds penetrating from some far off distance. The hunter would look up as he moved accordingly to dodge and avoid the falling debris as he heard the comments of the Jedi filtering through his helmet that was screening background noise. The bounty hunter flew clear of the debris falling as he redirected his attention back at the Jedi's position, letting his blaster carbine maglock to his thigh as he lifted his left arm up. A nozzle would pop out from his forearm as it began to spit out a jet of fiery napalm at the Jedi.

The hunter would let the stream of napalm shoot out as he spoke in a vocoded voice, " Not the brightest at foresight you are huh? You understand that with her taking off with that and your Alliance's biggest producer of bacta on fire, the Sith Empire are going to have the means of outsourcing this dustball's best resource right? " The hunter would shake his arm left and right, causing the stream to move at an unpredictable pace to make it difficult for the Jedi to maneuver about, " I'd be more worried about you than me wise guy. Didn't you get the memo? I'm here to hurt people. "
