The Coronation of Baroness Magrath

Today was a day that would be remembered for a very long time. It was cause for celebration and the soon to be ex-Baroness was more than happy that it had finally come. After countless years of feuding, she had finally received the news that she had always been waiting for. Her oldest brother had passed in the institution that he had been locked away in, and her only other surviving brother had been found dead after a spat with a criminal on the Core Worlds. Now the title of Baroness was no longer proper for her rightful station. With the last passing, the final familiar title would pass to her and it was one of which she was more than worthy.
Sitting quietly before the large mirror, a small smirk tugged at the edges of her lips as her golden-yellow hues peered into the glossy smooth surface. Fiery red hair swayed slightly in the breeze that came in through the large open doors behind her, her hand running along the head of the Nexu that remained by her side. Her other hand ran along her chin as she pondered and thought of a few plots that she had in mind now that the proper time was arriving.
With much of the Galaxy lost to chaos though, it was clear that this was a sign of greater things to come for the woman, her eyes peering over the figure of herself that sat there quietly. There were a few people whom she was hoping would arrive for this coronation, though with the chaos that gripped the galaxy, it was clear that many would probably not arrive. Of course there would always be time for a smaller get together for those closer friends that she would more than welcome in her new capacity.
Nodding to herself, she steeled herself for the coming moment before she stood up. Quietly closing her eyes and taking a deep breath before her eyes shot open again. Brushing a hand over her long deep purple gown, she turned towards the doors, slowly pushing them open as she stepped forward. A soft smile graced her lips as she saw a familiar face, one whom she had more than welcomed to her side.
"My Lady. Or should it be Lord now my friend?"
Raulyn asked [member="Darth Venefica"] with a small smirk as she stepped towards the woman whom was her second-in-command of the Fenrir Guard, and at the same time her better when it came to the Sith. With a gracious bow, only done due to no one else being in the corridor with the two, she smiled to the woman, happy to see her standing there.
With the possibility of an attempt at her life, or those that would seek to further sow discorded in the galaxy by removing the head of a government seeking to bring order, she was not going to take any chances. The Fenrir Guard had been called out and multiple Skoll class Security Droids had also been stationed for further security.
Turning towards the hall, she smiled before stepping forward. Now was the time for things to change. The Baroness, the Oligarchy, everything would change with this day.

From the moment she awoke and rose for a well needed sleep, the day's festivities had begun. Not the coronation itself, for that planning had been delegated to another, but all the behind scenes work the Sith Lord, and second-in-command of the Fenrir Guard, had laid out in preparation for the night's event. For the past two weeks, her main focus was the security of the guests but importantly, the safety of her friend Baroness Magrath. Passwords were chosen then changed every two days to prevent spies or other dissidents from disrupting the coronation. Those that knew the Baroness would say she was a fair, kind, and just person. However, her ties to the One Sith and the alleged rumours she had joined that lot spurred some into challenging her openly. The ones that posed a real threat had been rounded up and dealt with.
Along with other security measures came the Fenrir guards that would protect the Baroness. All that took the title of the Fenrir swore not only allegiance to her, but would lay their lives down to protect her. So for the two weeks prior to today, Darth Venefica held tournaments and special training sessions among the Fenrir elite. Today the names of the top ten would be sent out and they would report promptly to their assignment. To even take the measures one step further, she would send others out dressed in royalty clothes to mingle among the crowds of people that would be gathering for event. Their orders were simple; observe, report, and quietly subdue any troublemakers. She would deal with those personally.
With all the contingency plans set, orders given and being carried out, it was time for the Sith Lord to meet with the Baroness at her quarters. She didn't need the Fenrir guard to walk with her, but it was not her safety she was concerned about. When the Baroness emerged from her chambers, the Fenrir guard took up their positions around her.
"Yes my friend...it is Lord now. Though we must admit," Darth Venefica began as she walked on the left side of the Baroness, "It is odd to be called a 'Lord' when indeed we are a woman. Details." The Dagobah Sith fell quiet for a moment then added, "Everything you have asked for has been completed. We are to understand the first of the guests have begun landing at the docking platforms. And...congratulations."

Being the new Ambassador of the Krasni Gorod embassy on Praestilyn, Armand Temi was beginning to receive a lot of invitations from various politicians and dignitaries around the galaxy. He had been invited to the Coronation of Baroness Magrath which he was attending today and which would probably go well into the night. Even though the Hapan doctor didn't like ostentatious displays of wealth he had bought a new private yacht to celebrate his political appointment. It was the latest model of a SoroSuub 3000.

He landed at the docking platform and emerged from his ship. He was dressed in a tuxedo, the jacket tailored in an extra-long style to fit his tall frame. The Hapan doctor's shoulder length hair was tied back. He had been to the Baroness's estate once for another formal occasion. Oddly enough that was the last time he had heard from his sister Tmoxin Temi, prior to her disappearance. Armand thought at first his sister going MIA was related to the missing persons event that happened recently. But then inexplicably his friend Verd Skirata had been in touch with her and she was requesting to meet him on Hapes at his clinic. Hopefully she wasn't hurt in anyway.

He approached the entrance of the inauguration and even though he had abandoned his Jedi training to focus on the Rebel Alliance, he felt the immediate pressure of some very powerful Force users in the vicinity. Keep it in check, Armand, he thought. He was here to further his agenda of Sentient Rights for everyone and he would try his very best to keep it a peaceful visit.

In Umbris Potestas Est
Circe - or rather, Vanessa Vantai - was here on behalf of Emeritus Industries to witness the changing of how things worked in Avidon space. She was more than eager to attend the coronation as Duchess of a woman she had held a considerable amount of interest in - interest that had remained subtle over the various times that she had been here. With a smile, she arrived through the front door in a beautiful black dress, awaiting others to come in as well. Introductions were, she assumed, not best for the moment.

Besides, wouldn't it be better once the festivities had begun?

Vyse was sitting in the dining room, eating his meal, as his BC-714 luxury transport came planet side. As he ate, he felt worried about his meeting with the soon to be Lord Magrath.

It has only been a short time since he found out about being related to her, it was one of the main reasons he came out of hiding.

His ship lands as he finishes the last of his meal. Well it's time, Vyse says. as he get's up, droids taking away his empty plates. He walks to exit his ship, as he passes his droids working about, he goes down the ramp, he walks towards to the entrance to her estate. He stops before entering, taking a look around, he takes a deep breath, Let's hope this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship, Vyse thinks sarcastically as he enters.

Admiral Gnost He'le of the Dorin Defense Fleet left the shuttle and straightened his uniform as he walked into the ceremony hall. He held his back straight, and walked with the practiced gait of a life-long military man. The black uniform he wore was a signal of his rank with the Dorin Defense Fleet. Years ago the Dorin Defense Fleet was of little consequence and a man such as Admiral He'le would have been a Republic officer. But then the vanishings happened and Republic space was cut down to size. Now Dorin stood alone and they had worked tireless to strengthen the defense fleet around the planet. Especially with the shadow of the One Sith floating ever closer.

"Good evening." Admiral He'le said bowing his head to the guard and showing the man his invitation to the event. The guard looked it over for a moment and then waved a security wand over him, looking for any hidden weapons. Satisfied that the Admiral had nothing on him, he was waved inside. Walking into the room, Admiral He'le glanced around, seeing know one he knew. The Admiral was here on the pretense that Dorin could potentially strengthen relations with local governments in order to keep itself protected now that it didn't have the security of being a member of the Republic. It was a solid plan that could ensure a more dependent and safe Dorin.

The only snag in the plan, was that Admiral He'le was Jedi Master Kian Karr........and he wasn't here to build alliances.

How out of place a Jedi Master was, in a sea of rogue force users and Sith... But an invitation to a social gathering was one that Josh DragonsFlame usually accepted. He would step into the coronation party, clad in a black suit with a red tie, no hood on to cover his long blonde hair or his brimming brown eyes, or even the fact that he had the look of a youth, but at the same time of one with years of wisdom and experience far beyond his age.

The coronation of royalty was something that he found... Interest in. He felt no reason to come here with a hood on, for his name was on the invitation, but he did make an effort to hide his force presence in order to not attract unwanted attention.

Armand entered the great hall and took his place near the back where the lesser dignitaries would be stationed. As coronations went the Baroness's most prized advisers would be the nearest to the front. He would only hope to get a good view from where he stood.

He noticed a Kel Dor Admiral in the hall and approached him. As he slowly walked over he scanned the other being for a Force signal and was awarded with a very prominent signature indeed. "Hello Admiral," he said in greeting. "Do you enjoy these kinds of spectacles?" Armand asked. "I'm Dr. Temi, Praesitlyn Ambassador. I run an embassy and medical clinic on the planet. It's good to meet your acquaintance." He shook the Kel Dor's hand.

[member="Kian Karr"]

"Not particularly, no." Kian replied turning toward the young man who had approached him. Kian could sense that the man before him was also a force sensitive but he wasn't concerned. Many of the people here, he was sure, were force sensitive. Kian hadn't bothered hiding his own signature though, it would have been energy consuming and quite frankly he didn't need too. Many Kel Dor were known to be force sensitive.

"Admiral Gnost He'le." Kian said extending out his hand and shaking Dr. Temi's hand firmly. "Pleasure to meet you." Kian said, his voice was deep and slightly accented. He'd installed a filter in his mask that changed his voice so that he wouldn't have to. Kian drew his hand back and clasped them behind his back, standing rigid and surveying the place. He had an air of coolness about him, as if this was monotonous, or tasking for him. Kian was drawing from the few times he'd seen officers at engagements such as these. He'd always found it humorous how men who faced death in battle were so uncomfortable in social engagements.

"Embassy." Kian repeated back, "So you're a politician." He added, putting a little venom in his words. Not enough to offend but in more of humorous way.

[member="Armand Temi"]

The blonde's gaze would turn to [member="Kian Karr"], who he could sense a presence in, yet... One different from all else he could sense, from what wasn't concealed. A light beacon in a sea of darkness. For a moment, he allowed his own presence to be felt just to indicate to the Admiral, before he would nod and hide it again, deciding to steal toward the refreshments.

Of course, he didn't entirely trust them... But he was skilled in using the Force to tell if they were... Contaminated.

Admiral Gnost He'le. The name sounded familiar, Armand thought. The Kel Dor stood very straight and at attention as if this were a 21-gun salute and not a royal coronation.

"Yes," replied Armand. "The Ambassador post is quite new to me, I'm afraid." He laughed and said. "I suppose all it takes is a youthful face and endless reserves of idealism and there you are, a politician. I'm actually a doctor by trade and combat medic. I've seen a little bit of battle myself." He paused and didn't want to ramble on as he knew his military experience was not parallel to the Admiral in anyway.

"But tell me about yourself, Admiral. Where are you stationed now?"

"Of course such little matters can be dealt with in a more appropriate time and manner."
The Baroness spoke, the woman taking another breath. This day was one that was to be remembered and it meant a great deal. Hearing the purring, her eyes snapped open as she felt a nudge at her hand, a soft smile crossing her lips as she looked down at the large Nexu that remained at her side, always. Running her hand along its coarse fur, she nodded softly to herself, steeling her nerves once more as she remained in the circle of her guardsmen and their second in command. It was nothing new to her, having a Sith Lord so close, they seemed to flock to the woman as if she were a bowl full of honey.
"When it comes time we can not be seen together. The Avidonian Dominion is already in shaky waters. If there were to be a member of, let us say an unfriendly side that recognized you skulking about, they may deem the Dominion a threat to be dealt with through force."
There was a time and place for every little thing, and the Baroness had no reason to not trust her friend, nor did she fell that she ever had to apologize for her reasoning for her actions. It was clear though that the Dominion had more enemies and potential enemies than it had friends. Even having a few rumors running about made it more likely that those whom had a problem with the Sith, would find no reason to not target Lady Magrath or the Dominion. For her this was about survival, and keeping her people safe. Indeed there would be a time when she would be able to stand in the public side by side with Sith Lords and members of the Sith, though this coronation was not one of those times to be found with a Sith Lord at ones side.
Taking a moment to focus herself, she closed her eyes once more, turning towards the hall before they shot open. Looking out towards the white light that touched the large balcony that the hall lead out towards, the Baroness steeled herself once more. Her hands clutching before opening as she slowed her breathing. She was to become the Duchess of the Avidon System, a title rightfully hers all these years and finally earned.
"Keep an eye out for anything that does not look right. For anyone whom you might recognize as being from those that would otherwise find the thought of an ally to the One Sith as dangerous. If need be, remove them entirely."
The woman had chosen her words very carefully and she never second guessed a thought that she had. Nodding softly, she took a long breath before slowly exhaling.
"I'm ready."
She spoke before moving towards the end of the hall, slow and steady steps as she moved closer to the balcony. Cheering and the clamorous noise of a gathered crowed could be heard as it began to fill the air before she stopped short of the cloth that kept her back from the balcony. Now was the time she thought to herself before nodding softly.
"My friend. IF something does happen, my Daughter shall be in your care as the new Duchess."
It was a thought that she did not want to have, yet it was one that had come to mind. She was about to be crowned as Duchess and she was about to do so in front of a gathering that could hold as many enemies as allies. If she fell here, then there were those that would rise up and sweep across the Galaxy, turning all to ash.

Darth Venefica understood completely the ramifications it would pose for her friend if the guests saw her parading around with a Sith Lord. Many in the galaxy were ignorant when it came to the Sith. The fools believed every Sith was the same, each one cut from the same cloth and stitched together to create chaos and perform acts of atrocities. But regardless of how she felt about their poor perceptions, she would honour her friend's decision.
"Understood," she replied. "We will remain hidden from the eyes of your guests while maintaining a close observation for any signs of trouble. At any time you feel threatened or unsure...speak the phrase 'I saw it rain once on Tatooine' and the disguised guards will usher you away to safety."
They arrived at the end of hall. In just a few minutes everything the Baroness had desired would come to fruition, changing her life for ever. Every idea, every plan, every deal she set in motion now rested on tonight's event. The Sith Lord could feel the nervousness radiating off her friend and offered her an encouraging smile. Darth Venefica knew the Baroness would do just fine once she was in her element. The Baroness' words could move nations and warm the hearts of men and woman.
"Do not worry, friend. You have my promise that your daughter will see no harm. Good luck."
Darth Venefica backed away from the group and moved to an unseen observation post. If anyone was foolish enough to either ruin the event or bring harm to the future Duchess, it was more than just their life they would be throwing away. She had used highly respected information gathers to compose a list of every family member and friend from each of the guests on their list. The Sith Lord was not unfamiliar with the word purge.

Kian nodded along with the words of Armand and felt the sudden touch of another through the force. Glancing casually around, Kian saw that it was coming from one he'd met before, though only briefly. Kian eyed him for a moment but didn't bother to respond, least he jeopardize his cover. Turning his attention back to Armand, he heard the question being posed.

"I command the Dorin Defense Fleet." Kian said, as if the answer was obvious. "I served for the Republic when I was a younger man, but returned home after the vanishings happened. With Dorin no longer in Republic space, Dorin needs every able bodied Kel Dor."

"You say you served. Anywhere I would know?"

Still, Vanessa stood there, waiting patiently to find out what would be happening next. The sense of a lightsider - a Kel-Dor Jedi through and through - coupled with the arrival of [member="Joshua DragonsFlame"], she was getting a bit worried that this would all explode in her face. Still, she did have faith in the Sith who were looking over things. The presence was somewhat familiar - That Venefica woman, the one who sounded maddened the last time Circe had ever seen her.

Still, this would certainly be wondrous. Seeing the ascension of [member="Baroness Magrath"] to the position of Duchess was a rare honor.

Queen Jaira Jorel's Royal Cruiser landed somewhere close to where the coronation was to take place. Queen Jaira stepped out with one guard by her side. They entered a vehicle that took them to the site. She then walked up to the door of the building and her guard knocked. "I don't know why we bother knocking. We should just enter." The guard said.

Queen Jaira looked at him. "We knock because it is the polite thing to do." She said. She turned forward and waited for someone to open up. A guard from this planet opened and Jaira's guard, Arathilion Cors, showed their invitation. When they entered Jaira noticed that there were so many Sith. She thought, Maybe my intelligence agency was correct. The Taboon Intelligence Services is the new government run intelligence agency that Queen Jaira instated when her reign began. She had an agent investigate her son and the agent found that Wes had been around Sith a lot. But Jaira refused to believe her son was a Sith.

Queen Jaira and Arathilion entered where everyone else was and waited for the event to start.

Having been sent on a mission to spy on the ceremony, Fletcher tried to remain hidden in the crowds. He pulled his cloak hood up over his head and kept his head low, despite what he'd been told about looking suspicious. He tried to sense if anything was wrong, frowning in concentration.

He was under orders not to start conflict or speak to anyone. Only to attend and report back to the Jedi, nothing else. Though it was hard for him not to interfere. His lightsaber hung from his belt, concealed by his cloak, mostly.

He had finally arrived the festivities were soon to begin as the celebration of some woman was nearing its start. He stood off to the side, the force users and other guests flowing like a sea around him. The light glinted off his black visor as he scanned the room from behind his helmet. Surely this Baroness ,or whatever her new title would be, could use a Mandalorian touch from time to time. In fact it was the only reason he chose to make an appearance here.

Several guests chatted happily while others seemed to shoot glares of ice and death at others. Ray couldn't help but smirk under the mask, Sith were like dogs, always chasing after things they couldn't hope to have. He leaned against the wall near the door and scanned the room once more, someone here could use his services... He just had to find out who.

Parallel to what the SJO thought they knew of her Ivy was not the essence they sought for to bring into their abode for training, she was truly not who anyone knew, or thought they knew.. she was a complete deception to not only her own bloodline but also the force itself.

She had known who she was for a couple years now, she had understood her role, her true design and why she existed, she knew she was a tool to be used by a passed Sith Knight whom was nothing but a survivalist, there were even some among this party that if they looked deep enough, or paid close enough attention would notice a faint resemblance of the person she once was before accepting the inevitable death.

She had watched as the fringes were torn apart, as the sith slowly rose to dominance and as the silent vibrato of the force slowly shifted moreso to chaos, and darkness yet she remained neutral through it all.. and even in death kept her warrior mentality about her, she was once the greatest deceiver and was once the greatest actor in the galaxy. She once pretended to return to the light to test how insecure the jedi left their borders, she once pretended to want to align with the now cowardly one sith when they called themselves the sith empire, back then the sith were true, and accepted death.. they held less to cowardice then.

Ivy by nature was a decepticon, back then and even now. Yet this new visage was nothing but a distraction until it was her time to return to infamy, it is nothing but a shell, she didn't use transfer essence, or dark transfer to obtain it, it was through reincarnation and the will of the force and not cowardice.

Haven knew of the plan, it was a great one, with her being an "angel" it was even more a blessing, but now the galaxy is in need of more a rogue element rather than a sith, even one that believes in justice as much as Isis once did. Reincarnation is the best tool to be used and the perfect weapon against the tainted decease called the one sith, and their treacherous allies.

ivy isn't immortal, she just knows how to die and does it well.. Walking toward the house she spied the personal baffoons of the baroness and smirked arrogantly their way, and made her way into the house of the aged woman with an air of familiarity so all within that knew her could get the sense she might have returned.

Queen Jaira started walking towards the man that had entered. Arathilion had grabbed her wrist. "I wouldn't do that, my Queen." He said.

"Why not?" Queen Jaira asked.

"He looks like a rather unsavory character." Arathilion said glanced at the man suspiciously.

"That's the difference between me and you Captain." Queen Jaira said with a smile. "I see the good in people."

"The only thing is that we're in a place surrounded by Sith." Captain Arathilion said.

"But you don't know if they're all Sith." Queen Jaira said. She got Captain Arathilion to let her go and she walked over to the man. "Hello. I'm Queen Jaira Jorel of Taboon. And you are?" She asked as she held her hand out for him to shake it.
