  • Longer reload times due to smaller capacity powerpack and more frequent replacement.
DESCRIPTION
A standard charric pistol created for use within the Chiss Ascendancy, which utilizes advanced maser-particle firing systems that fires blue beams, and includes cooling materials to avoid overheating. Unlike standard blaster weapons, the charric bolts offer increased thermal and kinetic damage, as well as electrical shock to non-insinuated metallic armors, and are unable to be reflected by lightsabers. Additionally, the enormous impact per bolt allows for opponents defending with deflection capable weapons to be physically worn down with repeated attack, with some Jedi and Sith even outright losing their grasp on lightsabers.

Due to the improved nature of the bolts, the weapons accuracy is very high. Due to the higher particle and kinetic energy of each bolt, the effective range has been improved, but the ammunition capacity has been decreased - compared to standard blaster pistols of a similar type. Also, the maximum range for a charric weapon is shorter than other standard blaster pistols, and this loss over distance can be dangerous if unaccounted for during combat, and should be kept in mind at all times by Chiss soldiers.

All in all, the CCP-03 Chiss Charric Pistol is a reliable weapon capable of providing a well-rounded, if stronger, blaster-like weapon for the soldiers of the Chiss Ascendancy.

[*]Propulsion Systems:

[*]Ion Drives
[*]HIMS
[*]Maneuvering Jets
[*]Repulsorlifts

[*]Sensor and Targeting Systems:

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • The Batahn boasts an impressive offensive and defensive capacity, making it suited for slugging matches with other ships of similar class.
  • Spitfire Laser Cannons capable of dealing rapid, impressive damage at close ranges, with minimal energy drain.
  • Utilizes a predator interdiction drive, capable of slowing vessels realspace speeds when active and nearby the Batahn, while allowing it to maintain speed.

Weaknesses:
  • Heavily damaged or destroyed ablative armor panels require full replacement out of combat.
  • Power crystal weapons offer little physical damage to vessels, being designed to damage energy shields specifically.
  • Power crystal weapons do not affect physical defensive shielding.
  • Power crystal weapons have a slow rate of fire, compared to standard laser turrets.
  • Predator interdiction drive is indiscriminate in what vessels it affects, friend or foe.
  • Prominent command bridge offers easily identifiable target for enemies.
  • Spitfire Laser Cannons require close range of enemy vessel to be effective.
  • Rear of vessel more vulnerable to attack, with limited defensive weaponry angling that direction.
Description:
The Batahn is the finalized production build of the Batahn-Class Chiss Star Destroyer line, based on the Voritor prototype, and as a result is a very new ship that hasn't been witnessed beyond the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet until now. Made for ship-to-ship warfare, the Batahn boasts an impressive array of defensive and offensive technology, making it well-suited for brunt battle contact. Due to the nature of also being a command ship, the Batahn is ideal as a mid-formation vessel, seeking to close the distance with enemies to bring all of its power to bear, but also relying on more aggressive vessels to damage enemies; and combined with an array of warhead bays, rapid-fire cannons and advanced megamaser tech, the vessel can certainly slug it out with other ships of similar class.

Equipped with the new standards of the Chiss Ascendancy, including targeting and signaling systems and hyperdrives, the Batahn is a formidable Star Destroyer capable of defending against a range of enemy vessels or threats to the boundaries of the Chiss regions. And when reinforced with support or specialist vessels, the Batahn proves its worth by reinforcing the charge, bringing a balance of power and support against the enemy.

Two less common systems on the vessel are the Predator Interdiction Drive, and the Power Crystal Weapons. The Drive is designed to emit an interdiction-like field around the Batahn, which in turn slows all vessels realspace speed within a nearby range for a brief time; this allows the Batahn several advantages, such as maintaining speed with enemy vessels that are faster, keeping enemy vessels nearby for reinforcements to arrive, etc.

The Power Crystal Weapons are designed to bore literal holes into energy defensive shields, creating openings of several dozen meters that allow the Batahn to maximize firepower in specific locations; and these shield holes last from around ten-to-twenty seconds, with each power crystal turret requiring at least double that time to cooldown and fire again. Despite being equipped on a capital class vessel, each turret hasn't necessarily had damage value increased, instead focusing on both improvement to the boring method and energy regulation and supply to allow continued fire - as opposed to smaller, freighter-class ships that have most of their systems drained with each shot. Due to the nature of these boring lasers, they are highly efficient against energy deflecting shields, but lack any real damage to physical surfaces or physical deflecting shielding; additionally, they are near ineffective against hull, as they rapidly lose energy once affecting an energy shield and consequently burn out before reaching most vessels plating.

For a production line vessel that was based on a prototype, the Batahn has exceeded Fleet Command expectations, and while it maintains the same overall level of offensive capacity, the advancement in megamaser technology has resulted in some systems being adjusted or removed for proper power regulation and function; such as starfighter hangar space (which is now less than its prototype sister-ship) being lessened and a drop in overall Maneuverability. Still, the Batahn is a powerful command vessel worthy of the Chiss Ascendancy.

  • [2] Rotary Machine Guns [AP slugs, Acid slugs, EX slugs]
  • [1] Chin-mounted Ion Cannon

[*]Defenses: Average
[*]Passenger Capacity: 0
[*]Cargo Capacity: Average
SPECIAL FEATURES
Strengths:
  • Capable of high speeds and control, fulfilling the infiltration role of the walker.
  • Utilizes both maser and rapid-fire slugthrower weaponry, the latter capable of interchanging ammunition types.
  • Turadium reinforcement of frame and joints offers improved durability overall to energy damage.
Weaknesses:
  • AT-IT flanks not protected by forward-facing weaponry.
  • Bipedal design can be exploited by enemies with binding, removal or damage; having one functional leg means an inoperable walker.
  • Limited field-of-view due to forward facing viewport.
  • Optimal performance requires two crew, regardless of automated cannon functions.
  • Lacks missile or explosive armament.
Description:
The AT-IT is a bipedal walker used by the Chiss Expansionary Marine Corps for ground operations. Due to the speed the walker is capable of, as well as the array of systems and sensors it can utilize in the field, it is primarily used for scouting and infiltration of enemy flanks. It has been constructed with durable armor, boasts some impressive weapon systems that are adaptable, and has reinforced joints to help withstand energy damage - such as lightsaber blades.

The cockpit is environmentally sealed, allowing for the AT-IT to be deployed into a range of hazardous environments while leaving the crew unhindered. In case of being stranded, the crew have access to distress beacons, ration packs and basic survival gear suited to their environment on deployment.

Yet, like most walkers of a similar design, it has one large weakness: the legs. Despite reinforcing the metallic limbs, there still remains risk of having one or both damaged, bound or otherwise disable, which would render the AT-IT movement inoperable. Also, due to the size of the cockpit, there remains no room for passengers or additional cargo transport space, limiting the AT-ITs field support to purely engagement focused.

  • Considerable interior space taken up by medical resources and treatment centers, further reducing areas for offensive emplacements.
  • Rear of vessel more vulnerable to attack, with limited weaponry angling that direction.
Description:
The Ch'abesen-Class Frigate is a common sight, within the Chiss Ascendancy, used within the CEDF in small numbers. It is not uncommon to see singular frigates on the edges of a Chiss fleet, providing medical treatment and assistance to injured military personnel. The most notable feature is the completely retrofitted interior, which has striped much of the armament space to house additional medical treatment areas and facilities. This craft is wholly dedicated to medical support.

Focused on defense, the ship has had a replacement of previous laser cannons to numerous spitfire rapidfire maser cannons, ideal for outputting high fire rates with low power consumption. Due to the specialized role the Ch'abesen plays, the ship absolutely avoids combat engagements, remaining safely behind the main fleet it follows. There remains a large number of defensive measures and systems in place, to protect the frigate should it come under attack, but it's offensive options are severely limited.

Throughout the frigate are numerous treatment bays, filled with top-of-the-line medical tech, medical equipment and medical tools. No expense has been spared by the Chiss, as they see each military personnel's life as vital. Additionally, the forward section of the frigate is dedicated to medical support craft, and medical shuttles, including a singular prefabricated medical field station that can deploy into atmosphere for ground support. These smaller ships are equipped with supplies and stocks to maximize injured survivability from mission areas to the frigate, to then be stabilized before transport to the closest Chiss medical station. The shuttles and support craft are heavily armored but lightly armed, tending to avoid direct combat zones.

All in all, a highly effective medical support vessel, offering injured CEDF and CEMC forces the highest possible chance of surviving injuries sustained in the field; though its lack of mid-to-long ranged weaponry, and very limited armaments, mean its offensive capabilities are severely lacking, requiring fleet protection if under attack.

COPERO SHIPYARDS

hYfpzxS.png

OUT OF CHARACTER INFORMATION
  • Intent: To sub the Copero Shipyards, the largest in Chiss Space, for the Chiss Ascendancy
  • Canon: Copero Shipyards
  • Links: N/A
SETTING INFORMATION
  • Shipyards Name: Copero Shipyards
  • Classification: Planetary Shipyards
  • Location: Copero
  • Affiliation: The Chiss Ascendancy; House Mitth
  • Population: Heavily Staffed
  • Accessibility: The Copero Shipyards serve as the largest starship manufacturing complex in the Chiss Ascendancy, providing both public and military services to the Chiss population. It has specific docking areas for public vessels, as well as restricted docking areas for military vessels. The shipyard is protected by weapons platforms, turret emplacements and the Mitth Phalanx of Copero (House-specific defense fleet). Given the importance of the shipyards, the Mitth Phalanx has been granted use of military-grade vessels for improved security in the sector.
  • Description: The first impression of the Copero Shipyards is the sheer size. While not as large as an orbital ring, as a singular facility is is capable of docking multiple Chiss Star Destroyers of lengths of 5,000m with ease. Being the largest starship production facility in Chiss Space, it is capable of producing multiple destroyer-class starships simultaneously, and remains an important Chiss Ascendancy resources.
Following the partial destruction of the shipyards at the hands of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, while under the control of the Jen'ari Empire, the defensive capabilities have been both overhauled and improved along with repairs. It now boasts multiple weapons platforms, turret emplacements and shielding that can be activated when under attack. Additionally, the shipyards were expanded during the renovation, to further increase docking size, production lines and improve on overall efficiency.

For centuries the Copero Shipyards have been under the control of the local House of Copero, House Mitth, and considering the continuous requirement for starship building and maintenance, it has allowed Mitth to profit considerably. Following the tragic loss of the previous Shipyard Supervisor, the next claimant to ownership of the facility is Mitth'orn'eruod ([member=Thorne]).

OPERATIONS INFORMATION
  • Production: Capital ships of varying class
  • Specialty: Capital starships for the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet, outfitted to produce warships simultaneously
  • Output: The shipyards are capable of mass-producing Star Destroyers, while larger ships like Battlecruisers have a slower production time. Currently the shipyards are Dreadnought production capable, but these are very uncommon.
  • Market: The shipyards can provide Chiss Space with public sales of non-military Corvettes and Frigates, which are used in House Phalanxes for colonial planet protection that are under individual House control, but the focus is certainly military vessels.
POINTS OF INTEREST
The Copero Shipyards points of interest include:
  • Central Complex: The large, dome-shaped central complex at the top of the shipyards structure is where numerous behind-the-scenes tasks are completed. These range from shipyard command, communications, resource storage, cargo processing, maintenance crew housing and other amenities for organizing and running the facility.
  • Central Complex Delivery Ring: Around the radius of the central complex is the delivery ring, which has numerous reinforced and shielded hangar doors, designed to ferry in resources and supplies brought to the shipyards from Copero or surrounding systems. The rings connect to the internal central complex hub, allowing for processing and more long-term storage as needed.
  • Manufacturing Ring: Below the central complex is a secondary ring, where all manufacturing of small systems and components takes place, before being sent out to each production arm for warship installation.
  • Production Arms: The three dual-sided production arms that extend outward from the shipyards, beneath the central hub and its rings, are where the primary starship construction phase takes place. The arms house multiple construction hubs, allowing simultaneous starship building, and provide enough space to comfortably fit multiples of the CEDF Battlecruisers throughout production.
  • Asteroid Cluster: Some distance away from the shipyards is an asteroid cluster, which casually follows the orbit of Copero and the shipyard. Any stray asteroids that escape the cluster are promptly destroyed, to avoid damage to the facility, though they remain in place for reasons determined by the CEDF, instead of being removed.
SECURITY
The Copero Shipyards have a rating of maximum, composed of the following:
  • Defensive Shipyard Emplacements:
    Kyber-focused Megamaser Batteries
  • Heavy Ion Cannon Batteries
  • Missile Launcher Banks
  • Conner Net Launcher Banks
  • Point-defense Laser & Ion Cannons
  • Anti-missile Octets
  • Flak Cannons
  • Quad Maser Cannons
  • Tractor Beam Projectors
  • Interdiction Field Generators
  • Molecular & Deflector Shield Generators

HISTORICAL INFORMATION
For centuries, since the earlier days of the Chiss Ascendancy, the Copero Shipyards have been a staple of the production force behind the availability of Chiss vessels in Chiss Space. The facility started out providing small freighters, corvettes and frigates, but in time expanded and improved manufacturing lines, increasing starship class capacity. As with all things, technological improvements increased production time, simplified factory requirements, and the shipyards began earning a solid reputation for their work and speed.

Numerous Houses have owned the Copero Shipyards since the infancy of the Ascendancy, but in the last several centuries it has fallen to House Mitth to complete the task. Since the dark times, the Mitth have worked both diligently and effectively to continue expanding and pursuing perfection in their shipyard efforts. The social reasons for such incredible work ethic is obvious, due to being the largest producer of vessels for the Chiss Expansionary Defense Fleet; but the real reason House Mitth continue to strive is to undo the dishonor bestowed on them from the actions of Mitth'raw'nuruodo - specifically his exile for breaking Ascendancy laws and protocol - in the past. Their main claim on advancement was by investing enough financial capital to allow multiple warships to be produced simultaneously, through a reworking of the docking and factory structures to encompass service/production arms.

Unfortunately, the Copero system has not had a peaceful history. In the past, the shipyards have been held by foreign occupiers, such as the Iron Empire and the Jen'ari Empire. During these brief incursions into Chiss Space, such governments instituted their own plans and methods for starship design, altering how the manufacturing crews operated and even outright replacing them. Still, throughout it all, House Mitth managed to maintain operational supervisory of the shipyards, due to experience and familiarity. With the dissolution of the Iron Empire, the shipyards were further advanced and expanded, utilizing elements of their production means, while also having Chiss engineers replace defunct systems and methods with newly developed ones.

For a time, the Chiss controlled shipyards continued to make technological improvements. Again, shipyard size was expanded on, allowing for larger and larger warship classes to be built. Additional security was placed in-system also, to better defend against potential threats, especially considering the importance of the shipyards to CEDF operations and supply.

However, it seemed history was doomed to repeat itself, as the Jen'ari Empire installed themselves in Chiss Space through traitorous Aristocra. The consequent civil war that followed, which also included the Sith Empire and Confederacy of Independent Systems, brought an end to the reign of the Jen'ari Empire; yet, in the process, a large majority of the Copero Shipyards was destroyed by the CIS, resulting in thousands of crew deaths including the Mitth facility supervisor. The supervisor had been Mitth'aan'eruod, father to Mitth'orn'eruod ([member="Thorne"]), and he had been incinerated when one of the shipyards reactors exploded.

In the aftermath of the CIS massacre on Copero, in which numerous civilians and non-combatant Chiss were murdered, the Ascendancy were left in a devastated state. House Mitth, represented by Admiral Mitth'orn'eruod, once again assumed control of what remained of the Copero Shipyards, enacting repairs with assistance from the Defense Hierarchy. Both knew the importance of having the largest Chiss shipyard operational, especially having successfully concluded a civil war against an occupying force, and it became a priority to get fleet production back up to standard.

As a result, the Ascendancy poured near endless resources, personnel and finance into the reconstruction project. The explosion that had damaged the upper portion of the shipyards had been focused enough to allow surprisingly high salvage and restoration efforts. As a result the building time was improved greatly, and after months of labor and round-the-chrono work crews, the shipyards reached a point of being comparable to past production status. Still, in the weeks and months to come, House Mitth intends to continue expansion and improvements on the systems and procedures, with the full intention of continually striving forward per the Chiss culture.

And under the careful guidance of highly skilled House Mitth leadership, overseen by Admiral Mitth'orn'eruod, the Ascendancy feels confident in that claim...

DESCRIPTION
A standard charric rotary cannon created for use within the Chiss Ascendancy, which utilizes advanced maser-particle firing systems that fires blue beams, and includes cooling materials to avoid overheating.

Due to the higher particle and kinetic energy of each bolt, the effective range has been improved, but the ammunition capacity has been decreased - compared to standard blaster rifles of a similar type. Also, the maximum range for a charric weapon is shorter than other standard blaster rifles, and this loss over distance can be dangerous if unaccounted for during combat, and should be kept in mind at all times by Chiss soldiers.

All in all, the CRC-05 Chiss Charric Rotary Blaster Cannon is a reliable heavy weapon capable of providing mobile or emplacement auto-fire for the soldiers of the Chiss Ascendancy.

Strengths:
  • Raw Power: The Tsut'acah is fitted with impressive armament, allowing it to prove a very real threat to vessels of similar or lower class.
  • Cycling Shields: The Tsut'acah has layered shielding that, when combined with the Xythan systems energy absorption and channeling, allows for redundant shield layering that can recharge independently during combat engagements.
  • True Flagship: Due to the sheer size, the Tsut'acah is able to support a fleets movements, while also offering a powerful spearhead for operations, for long periods of time without need for resupply at CEDF bases.
  • BattleNexus: Through an advanced sequence of data retrieval and processing, the Tsut'acah is able to supplement a great number of non-essential systems in vessels within its fleet; this allows crews, systems and starships improved efficiency and operating capabilities while active.
Weaknesses:
  • Command Vessel: The Tsut'acah is a powerful vessel, however even the largest armament and shielding cannot overcome fleets alone, requiring support vessels to assist against numerous enemy starships to avoid being overwhelmed.
  • Slow Mover: The Tsut'acah is a very slow vessel, despite the powerful ion engines it utilizes. Due to the focus on armament and defenses, the vessel interior used more space for weapon and shield systems, resulting in less effective engine reactors and speeds.
  • Blind Spots: Like most conventional Star Destroyer designs, the stern lacks dedicated weapon defenses, leaving it less defended than the rest of the vessel; as such, it requires support from other vessels and starfighters to compensate.
  • Hyperspeed: Despite having a very fast hyperdrive, specifically made for the Tsut'acah, it must slow itself to maintain fleet hyperspace travel formations.
  • Energy Hungry: The more specialized advanced systems of the Tsut'acah require considerable power to utilize and as a result must be used individually to avoid damage to the vessels power reactors.
Description:
The Tsut'acah is a vessel of impressive size, armament and operational systems. The CEDF commissioned the Star Dreadnought for use within the Second Fleet, under the command of officer [member="Thorne"]. Not only does it boast numerous Chiss-designed weapons, defenses, systems and components, but it is also the first Chiss vessel to have the BattleNexus Control System incorporated to its operation. With a plethora of weapon emplacements, layered shielding, reinforced structuring and hull plating, as well as some specialized systems for completing specific tasks, the Tsut'acah is a force to be reckoned with. Yet, like most Star Destroyer designs, there remains some defensive shortcomings.

In order to successfully utilize its weapons and shielding to full effect, a larger portion of interior space was used for armament reactors. By having a layered shielding system in place, complete with shielding boosting generators and an energy channeling Xythan field reactor, the vessel has impressive recharging capability while in combat. Still, when an entire fleet is firing on a warship continuously, even high recharge shielding has its limits. Another aspect was a sacrifice being made to the ion engines, which - while powerful - do leave the starship very slow in space. Still, the ingenuity of Chiss engineers has resulted in the dreadnought maintaining a higher maneuverability than most vessels of its class, lending to a higher chance of tactical movement over other dreadnoughts. Additionally, hangar bay space was reduced significantly, to further allow for integrated reactors for combat systems and analysis, such as the BattleNexus module.

One of the more advanced systems on the Tsut'acah is the BattleNexus Control System. Being a fleet flagship, the vessel is designed to manage a battle fleet, but dedicated data processing and tactical analysis computing systems allow for more advanced fleet efficiency. When the BattleNexus Control System is activated, the dreadnought's sensors, tri-trackers, recon droids and hyperwave transceivers access nearly any information-exchange source in-system, applying security scans and purging viral-infected data, before it is correlated and processed through a devoted droid brain computing suite. This suite then maintains consistent monitoring of fleet-wide targeting data, weapon triangulation, formation movements and other inter-vessel statuses, before applying real-time assistance to alleviate systems on smaller vessels. The result is an increase in fleet performance, efficiency and data quality - so, by handling common sub-routines and processing packages, the fleet can target, fire, move and adjust vital systems more effectively and in faster time-frames (effectively a technological form of Battle Meditation).

When it comes to the advanced Chiss hyperdrive, the engineering teams constructed larger units suited specifically to propelling the Tsut'acah into hyperspace. Due to the larger size and more powerful outputs, the hyperdrive has reached faster speeds than the other smaller vessel hyperdrives; yet, in order to remain within fleet formation, the Tsut'acah must go at a slower hyperdrive setting so as to remain with the vessels under its command. Though when moving independently the Tsut'acah can utilize its full hyperdrive speed.

All in all, a powerful dreadnought capable of leading fleet operations in combat, while offering support as a flagship to vessels under its command; however, due to the large power requirements, speed and starfighter support were decreased, leaving the Tsut'acah to rely on specific vessels to support its weak points.

ADVANCED SYSTEMS
Strengths:
  • The Hisbah boasts impressive firepower and defenses, utilizing kyber-focused megamaser turrents and layered shielding.
  • Utilizes a predator interdiction drive, capable of slowing vessels realspace speeds when active and nearby the Hisbah, while allowing it to maintain speed.
  • Ablative armor allows for improved hull integrity against energy weapons.
Weaknesses:
  • Limited long range attack capabilities, certainly not its specialty.
  • The Chiss Hyperdrive navicomputer systems are susceptible to interdiction effects.
  • Heavily damaged or destroyed ablative armor panels require full replacement out of combat, becoming ineffective in combat until completed.
  • Predator interdiction drive is indiscriminate in what vessels it affects, targeting both friend or foe.
  • Prominent command bridge offers easily identifiable target for enemies.
  • Low starfighter support could be exploitable by enemies.
  • Anticoncussion fields require moderate energy to remain active, requiring controlled activation to avoid too much power drain from other systems.
  • Rear of vessel more vulnerable to attack, with limited defensive weaponry angling that direction.
Description:
The Hisbah-Class Star Battlecruiser is a common sight within the Chiss Ascendancy, used within the CEDF fleets by high ranking officers, and primarily serves as a front-line vessel. Made for ship-to-ship warfare, the Hisbah boasts an impressive array of defensive and offensive technology, making it well-suited for brunt battle contact. And while not quite the size of its larger comparable vessel, the Mohn-Class Star Battlecruiser, the Hisbah is considerably viable against similarly sized vessels. The most notable feature is the array of megamaser turrent variants, which allow for impressive firepower output. And in order to survive being close to the enemy, the Hisbah also has a high defense capability, with layered shielding and ablative armor plating.

Equipped with the new standards of the Chiss Ascendancy, including targeting and signaling systems and hyperdrives, the Hisbah is a capable Star Battlecruiser able to provide strong assault formations in the fleet. Additionally, the anticoncussion fields assist in offering kinetic protection inside the vessel. Additionally, a less common systems on the vessels are the Predator Interdiction Drive. The Drive is designed to emit an interdiction-like field around the Hisbah, which in turn slows all vessels realspace speed within a nearby range for a brief time; this allows the Hisbah several advantages, such as maintaining speed with enemy vessels that are faster, keeping enemy vessels nearby for reinforcements to arrive, etc.

All in all, an impressive ship-to-ship combat vessel, able to handle front-line confrontations through strong offensive and defensive output; though its lack of long ranged weaponry, and very limited starfighter squadrons, means it must rely on larger or specialized vessels to provide solutions to those weaknesses, requiring fleet formations for maximum effectiveness.
