Wake Up

Kira Talith

“Oh no no.” Kira would add, climbing out of the speeder herself. “You get three weeks of my time for me to do what you will, but no where does it say buster that I get more time demanded out of me!” she shut the door behind her, giving a bit of dramatic flair. Rounding the speeder, she came to a purposeful halt in front of the towering former false god.

One finger poked his chest - well as high up as one as short as her could. The scene would be lighter than the seriousness adrenaline pumping action from earlier.

“There was no contract!” she added, mock debate easing between them as suddenly he would reach out to grab a hold of the tiny blonde. Tired or not, Kira weighed as much as a wet sack of potatoes. A deliberate smack stung a cheek and erupted a shocked gasp from the Master as she was tossed over a shoulder.

“HEY!”

There was another hard smack as Soliael's hand once again connected with Kira's rear. "No objections."

A wide grin fell on his lips, though in truth his mind was still half on an entirely different matter.

The pirates.

He loved his wife, dearly so, and he would be sure to take full advantage of the three weeks of pure opportunity that he now had, but the island, and those upon it were still a looming threat. He had told Kira they wouldn't go after them, and he had been very serious about those words, but he knew that sooner or later they would encounter them once again. The Rishi Maze wasn't a huge place, not when considering that you had to take certain paths to get places, he was sure they'd run into that armada, it was just a matter of when.

Soliael frowned for a moment as he turned on his heel, heading straight towards the bedroom.

"Now my Pirate Wench." He made light of the situation, smiling as the door slipped open. "Let's see if I can't teach you a thing or two."

It had been two days since their tryst after Rhisi. Two days by which The Freya's autopilot had drawn them away from the rest of the galaxy and towards the Rishi Maze. They now drifted between the two galaxies, the ships hyperdrive cooling down as it made the proper calculations for the final jump.

The journey between Galaxy and The Rishi Maze was a long one. It was mostly a straight shot, but the Hyperjumps that were required needed time and precision, lest you ended up jumping to the wrong place within the Maze. There were only a handful of places that were safe, and now with what they had learned on Rishi even less then half of that. The Pirates would undoubtedly control a great mass of Safe Ports within The Rishi Maze, and thus they would have to be more careful.

Soliael let out a sigh, leaning against the wall right by the viewport.

The scene in front of him was beautiful, an entire satellite galaxy splayed out for him to take in.

There was a certain cosmic brilliance to the way it constantly moved. He watched it, simple contentment sitting upon him. It would take several more hours for the computer to calculate the jump. His eyes carved a path through the galaxy ahead, his lips pursing as he mused upon what they would find there.

A pair of warm, small hands came sliding in from behind Soliael's sides. Their fingers were spread wide, sailing in an appreciative map of his flank. They traced over the faint ridges of his ribcage, enjoying the slight flex of musculature and sinew beneath.

The soft press of warm lips came to rest along his spine, right along the middle of his back. Strands of blonde hair would tickle the hot skin, a feminine forehead lightly leaning in close to nuzzle with tender care. The arms encircled around to the front, where they tightened in an embrace as Kira Talith molded herself to her husband.

"Mmm..." He'd feel her smile grow against his skin. "Well you're up early..." she murmured, pressing another kiss and snuggling close.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Early?" He parroted with a slight smirk. "You've been asleep for a day."

Humble brag.

He shifted slightly, passing her underneath his arm so that she could look at the galaxy. "Look. The Maze."

The Galaxy was wide, it arched throughout the entire viewport, spreading far and seemingly endless. There were thousands, millions of worlds there. Endless lives that were ongoing, shifting and moving in their own way. It was amazing to think, even more so considering that most of them were completely and entirely untouched by the rest of the galaxy. There were probably planets out there that still didn't know space travel existed, much less that people from another galaxy were coming.

It was an odd thought, and a dangerous one for someone with his past.

"It is beautiful." Kira sighed out, content to be wrapped in Soliael's arms. Snuggled there, she felt protected as much as she felt every bit surrounded by his love. There were perks to his great height in comparison to her own; like the sensation of having your own living, personal heater. That thought made her lips twitch in humor, and she pressed another kiss against his forearm.

"What is it?" the Lorrdian asked, feeling the slight sense of apprehension briefly flow from her husband. Their ring connected them in ways that would allow Kira to detect even the minutiae of his sentiments.

"Thinking about the pirates again?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"No." Soliael said quietly. Oh he was sure that the Pirates would be an issue, very sure. There was no doubt in his mind that they would run into that particular band of trouble makers more then once while they were exploring The Rishi Maze, but in truth. That didn't concern him all that much. There was no fear in facing Pirates, no fear in what he would have to do eventually.

He mused for a second, then stretched his arms.

There was something else on his mind. "Godhood."

That was poignant really, especially considering what he had been before he'd met Kira, or rather, what he'd claim to have been.

"This place, it will be new, primitive." He mused for a second more. "I'm not tempted, but the thought is there."

Ah. That.

Kira gave a slight scrunch of her features, her nose twitching a bit. She turned in his embrace. Tipping her head back, she appraised her husband's features, took note of what the whole Godhood thing meant.

The Lorrdian understood what had occurred in the past, but, well, that required the intent to try and do things. So she spoke to that account, "Well we just have to be careful." she said. To her it was easy. But for the Jedi Master, the thought never occurred to her about swaying any primitive people into thinking she was a god just because of the Force.

"We can land in the dark.. find a secure place for the ship..." there were options.

"We don't have to use the Force, you know." she added, dimples flashing.

"Just enjoy ourselves."

[member="Kira Talith"]

He blinked.

"Honey." Soliael began. "I can no less stop using the force then I can stop breathing."

That was a slight exaggeration maybe, but there was a truth to it as well. The force came naturally to him, even with half of his strength put beyond a barrier by the ring on his finger. It was part of who he was, the well of power that sat within him. "I have you."

That was enough.

"You'll just have to watch me." He smiled down at her, planting a kiss on her forehead. "Smack my ass if i start converting people."

Soliael didn't think that stopping himself from using the force was a proper solution, mostly because he didn't think he could do it. It was a natural guide to him, the Force, he didn't reject it, push it away, or any of that. Unlike so many others, unlike Kira herself, Soliael couldn't sequester his strength, couldn't minimize it or simply hide it. It was a double edged sword really. He was powerful in the force, but he also couldn't hide that fact from anyone.

"I think I'll do more than that if that is the case," Kira said through a devilish murmur of her lips, reaching down to make her point by grabbing a firm handful of the object in question. Sighing against him, her smile lingered, "You'll be okay, Devin." she said a bit more seriously -- well as serious as the typical playful Kira could be.

Another playful kiss was pressed against his chest, rocking on her heels to have both of them sway a bit. "I'm more concerned about the ogling of this said ass." she quipped, twitching her nose in humor. The Jedi Master held no arguments that her husband by far still appeared to be at the peak of his prime. The silver flecks of hair only seemed to enhance his ruggedness, and that body... blue eyes went trailing down with languid proprietary.

Yup. Her hubby was a prime A piece of hunk; sigh... who else could say that they took a former false god to bed every night?

"But you are right... I like you for you and how you are. All of you." Force and all. It made her wonder at times, just what was the full extent of Devin's knowledge in the Force. Kira herself knew a few things, and she heard of others who had taken to recording down that knowledge. A thought came to her.

"Say, " she began, pulling back a bit. "Speaking of the Force... I know you said your father had done it before, but have you ever recorded what you know in a Holocron?"

[member="Kira Talith"]

"No." Soliael said simply. "Nor do I plan to."

He shrugged. "Half of what I know isn't mine to tell."

The Aing-Tii had trusted him with part of their secrets, had trusted his sister with the other half. He wasn't about to go spreading that knowledge around the galaxy. It was one of the reasons that he had taught none of his children to relocate within the force, or blink as Kira called it. The skill was one born of Aing-Tii teachings, and if any of the kids wanted to learn it they would have to take the journey through the nebula to find what they sought. Soliael had decided that from early on.

"The other half..." He trailed for a moment. "Probably shouldn't pass on anyway."

Once, he had been a feared Sith Sorcerer. Powerful enough to obliterate entire worlds, ruthless enough to do it too. The techniques born of path, the evil they wrought...the galaxy was better off forgetting about it in the end.

"Oh..." The rush of an exhale followed a small nod. With how he felt about keeping the knowledge he'd gleaned to himself, she should have figured that he wouldn't have made such a thing. Although, there still was the odd little stone goblin-like thing that served to be a sort of a storage device. Granted, that hadn't been created by Sol himself, but someone else.

"True." she mused, the blonde slash of her brows drawing close. Who knew what was the true extent of Soliael's knowledge. Well, she gave a mental shrug. That was his choice to keep it to himself. It was just a passing curiosity.

She pressed her cheek against his chest. There she felt the steady thud of his heartbeat, heard the rush of oxygen fill his lungs with every breath he took. Kira smiled.

"Well all pass things on in our own way I supposed," she sighed out, warm breath falling over his skin.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"You could always make one." Soliael offered.

They weren't all that hard to create from what what he understood, and in truth the things Kira knew how to do were probably far more valuable anyway. Soliael was more of a brick wall...or maybe a sledgehammer, Kira was likely a finely honed knife. Both had their uses, but in general one would argue that the Knife had more. He smiled at the comparison of a knife to his wife, reconsidering it for a moment and deciding that he wouldn't share that one out loud.

"I can help you." He said plainly. "Or maybe Nohei can."

That would be a fun afternoon.

Nohei had come pretty far when it came to technomancy, and watching the two of them figure it out would have been endlessly amusing for Soliael.

That didn't occur to her before. Honestly she didn't really consider much of what she knew important enough to record down. It wasn't much. Barely a drop in the ocean compare to what Soliael knew.

"Well... I don't know anything really special." She admitted, her brows scrunching under the straight fringe of her bangs. Around his back, her fingertips began to tap in contemplation. The Lorrdian spoke with her entire body, and her musings in this contex were no different.

"It's nothing compared to what your family can do." She said, giving him a cheeky smile. She said it with no malice or sarcasm, she was proud of how much Soliael knew. That had been important for the lessons they gave the kids as they were growing up.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"You're too humble." Soliael said with a smile. "Maybe I can move mountains, but subtlety takes skill too."

That was true enough. It wasn't something that Soliael himself was capable of, subtlety. He really was just a hammer, a tool to be loud, a tool to break things. There was a pride in that, but what Kira did was different, it was more...advanced. The mastery of destruction was one thing, but what his wife was capable of took another type of skill, a kind that escaped Soliael completely.

"It's up to you." He said simply.

Though a thought occurred to him.

"We could just make a datacron." He said finally. "Together."

Datacrons were easy, simple, they didn't contain knowledge of the force or some kind of hidden strength. Just...history. "Tell of our time together."

"I've never really made a holocron..." that's when a sheepish expression swept over her face, shoulders scrunching up close to her neck at that. Truth be told, she never really paid much attention when the classes were inside of the Jedi Temple. Kira had never been the sort to really be able to sit still for long periods of times. Which is why she did her best when she was out in the field or learning by practice.

The suggestion of a datacron, however, interested her as well. "A datacron? Like we did with our holovideos of the kids?" well Kira was familiar with datacrons, datachips, and datasticks. They were just handy methods of storing information. Honestly, much like simply recording anything one wished and arranging it to display the information as programed to. It was no different than an archive file in any library. A set amount of information but no feedback.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"Yeah." Something like that anyway.

"There's probably a few about us anyway." He mused. "Jedi Master and Senator of Borleias."

He had never really thought about it. There hadn't been a reason too. His stint as a Senator had been mostly unremarkable. He had kept Borleias out of trouble, called a few Senators idiots, and had seen that the Republic didn't completely run against the wall. Of course after he stepped down it all went to shit anyway, but that was hardly important. Either way he knew that there was at least a few datacrons that recorded a portion of both Kira and his own life.

They were famous after a fact.

"May as well set things right." He shrugged.

There was no telling that either of them would be important a thousand years from now, in fact they may just be specks of nothing, but the Datacron would be more for them, for the kids, for whatever grand kids they would eventually have.

Kira drew back in his arms, outstretching hers so she could get a good look at him, mischievousness dancing in her oceanic eyes.

"Set things right?" she stretched both brows high enough that they hid under her bangs. "Nothing terrible happened during your stint as a Senator..." well... if nothing terrible didn't include the bit of fun he and she enjoyed in his Senator's office. Those had been some rather good times!

"Mmm... then what would you want to record then?" For Soliael, time didn't really mean as much as it did for Kira. He would live on for centuries. Their children would also benefit from an elongated lifespan. The Lorrdian, on the other hand, would simply have a typical human life. Oh extended by the Force to some degree, but nothing compared to the time to what Soliael or the kids would enjoy. The thought made her sad at times, but she at least was happy knowing that she would live as much of a joyful life as she could with them.

[member="Kira Talith"]

"All of it." He shrugged. His path as a senator had not been a bad one, no, but it was inevitable that someone got something wrong down the line. That was really only to be expected, after all there was really only so much research that one could do on someone like Soliael. "Maybe leave the Moross parts out..."

That was another one of those secrets that one shouldn't tell. "Or bury it deeper."

Either one.

"Or maybe we just let it be." Soliael suggested. "No need to write everything down. Maybe we can just be mysteries."

He liked the thought of that as well. He had been notorious several times throughout his life. He'd been branded a killer, a thief, a God, a Senator. Plenty of people had known his name, more had known the name of his father, perhaps obscurity wouldn't have been the worst thing, perhaps moving on to something...less would be more desirable. They were certainly doing that by heading into the Rishi Maze, away from the politics of the Galaxy, away from the war, away from everything they knew.

Soliael was vacillating back in forth on what to do that Kira couldn't help but laugh. She shook her head, strands of blond tickling her cheeks. Shoulders shaking, she gave his chest a pat.

"Okay there kiddo, don't hurt yourself overthinking it so much." another snort of amusement and she began to slip from his grasp. "It was just an idea, no need to get so serious about it." A quick upward push of tippytoes and she pressed a quick peck upon his lips.

"Mull it over. It isn't something we need to do right now. Or ever really. I was just curious."
