[member="Jaius Sovv"] and his associates were met with Godfrey. The dignified man was Head of the Household. He stepped inside, followed by an array of servants that were wheeling in fine foods and drinks to distribute on the galley.

He left them to their duties at setting the table while he turned his attention to Jaius, Todai and others, addressing them with a curt nod before speaking. "Queen Lady Kay sends her sincerest apologies for not being here to greet you. My name is Godfrey and I am head of the House. While you wait, she has provided you with a meal of some of our finest should you be famished from your travels. Is there anything else that you need? Some light entertainment? A tour of the grounds?"

Godfrey had no idea how long the Queen would be with her business meeting. He hoped that for her sake and Commenor's, it won't be long.

The Shark noted [member="Ultimatum"]'s response, recalling when the Lady announced her return. "Ah, yes." The savagery was still lying just below the surface of his calm veneer, barely contained. "You were on Commenor the first day of her return, too. If my memory serves me correctly, Queen Kay-Larr was about to send some of her people to work in the mines." If it wasn't apparent before that Ghorua had bad feelings for the Queen's new regime, they were obvious now.

He couldn't even bring himself to call her [member="Lady Kay"] anymore.

Then, he heard a comical robotic voice ring out behind him, and he couldn't help but laugh.

Ah, classic Spark.

Ghorua grinned sharply as [member="The Squid"] played up his reaction. Not exactly professional, but Ghorua wasn't feeling professional right now. Perhaps he would make sure Core was in control when they went to speak with the Lady. "Not what I meant," he said, chuckling as he placed his helmet on his hip. "but I appreciate the effort."

The Shark turned back to Ultimatum, nodding toward the direction of the Palace. "Walk with me?" The Herglic began to plod towards the palace, turning heads all along the way.

"What brings you here today, Ultimatum, if not to beg mercy from Her Majesty?"

Gyndine.

They were really doing this, Symara thought as she looked at the torn shoulder patch where she had ripped off Firemane's logos. A hand against the bulkhead as she leant against it, Kala and Lavali were on either side of her with Chuck Halifax squeezed between them. Together the four of them looked out down the corridor as the corvette moved through Gyndine's space and headed toward the Commenori vessel. The lieutenant's hand fell to her side as she moved forward her boots clanked against the grate floor. Behind her, the Major, Chuck and Kala with their squads and a few stragglers. On approach to the hangar, the corvette began to make contact and at the ramp they noted the lights of the hangar as it poured around them. "And we're here," Symara commented. The ramp lowered and out came the former Firemane soldiers, the former would-be mercenaries found walked out onto the Commenori hangar.

"Welcome to the QueensGuard"

Veiere bowed to their guests, a manner of greeting most akin to the formerly Jedi lifestyle that he once lived, though in response to witnessing this, the troops around the Hangar all offered the group a salute leaving Terrac to stand there beside him no doubt feeling somewhat awkward before Veiere rose to stand upright. [member="Symara Tarriq"] and her companions all stood before him, they of whom Veiere took a brief moment to study before clearing his throat and motioning to the main bulkhead, the massive reinforced durasteel doors that would take them deeper into the Battle-Cruiser, only moving on ahead upon seeing sign that they were willing to follow him.

"You'll have to excuse first impressions, we are currently testing her and as such do not have a full crew to compliment the vessel. She is after-all, our first vessel of this size and the other you will have passed on your way in, the Commenori Receiver, our second. Far more capable when dealing with vessels coming and going; I however wished to meet you personally as I don't often get the chance to enjoy myself on these ventures. Politics and all that..." He smiled, glancing back over his shoulder giving them all a briefly sarcastic glance as if to suggest politics discouraged him. Once into the first Corridor, Veiere would lead the group away from the lifts Terrac and he had taken to descend from the bridge, instead seeking out the mess hall and by extension, the quarters for the crew of which the group would find themselves most comfortable. The Mess Hall was mostly quiet and those on board consisted of a skeleton crew more so than anything else, yet having heard that Veiere would be on station for the duration of the training operations, not to mention the other officers of Vikras ansions personal team, the chefs had already set to work in cooking up a fine stew for the late evening meal....-Or at-least, what would be an evening meal given Gyndine's western hemisphere.

"Please, make yourselves at home..." He glanced over his shoulder to Terrac, nodding too for the man to find himself a comfortable time while Veiere would then gesture to one of the long tables, taking a seat at the side of it, "Food's on the house, and then perhaps we can better discuss what you're all hoping to find here. A job you mentioned? You're all interested in active duty?", It had been so long since Veiere had had company that wasn't filled with talks of Commenor's financial state or politics in general. There was of course [member="Lady Kay"] but even they had been busy from one another of late and perhaps his lack of casual interactions were beginning to show, clearly eager to play host for these people, knowing nothing of them yet neither sensing any dangerous intent in them either.

Ultimatum thoughtfully nodded as [member="Ghorua the Shark"] began. The droid understood that the organic held hard feelings towards the returned queen. It was unfortunate that the Shark held that against her, though it was understandable. From what Ultimatum had found organics had long memory for grudges, he just hoped that this one would be dealt with quickly. It was important that [member="Lady Kay"] have her allies on her side and definite in their loyalty.

When [member="The Squid"] acted up in a most comedic manner, Ultimatum smiled bemusedly. He knew that such humor was capable of being accomplished by most droids, but he had not expected it. Before he followed the massive Herglic, he stated with a grin, "Thank you, your enthusiasm is noted."

From there, the droid walked after the greater being. In answer to the question he replied, "I am not here to grovel, I am here to make certain that a friend if alright and that she has at last returned to the old way as the news seem to suggest. How about you?"

Tiali Steadies his breath as he stares down the corridor, the sound of sparks hit his ears as the wall lights up with arcing electricity. Activating the grenade he activates the wrist mounted sonic pistol sending the explosive down the corridor in a wave of sound. Tiali quickly raises just higher then the crate only coming to the view of Darlyns hand flicking down, firing an anti personnel rocket on Tiali's position.

Quickly lunging out of cover from the missile's path, he quickly regains his stature as his hand lowers to his pistol gripping the handle before... "Boom" the missile hits it's the crate only just off nonlethal distance from Tiali. The blast throws Tiali against the electrified wall, the pain spreading through his entire body in what seemed like a microsecond he grunts loudly sounding almost like a short scream.

Tensing up his muscles he only barely pulls himself away staggering to get his balance electrical arcs still spark off him lingering on him. Tiali's helmet sparks up black smoke raising from it, his vision starts to fade as his malfunctioning visor goes dark. Unable to see he raises his blaster taking a couple blind inaccurate shots down the corridor before the last of his energy gives out. His legs give out from under him as he drops to his knees, slumping over his pistol slipping out of his hand landing on the ground next to him.

Smoke still rising from Tiali's armor his breathing fast and out of pace, grinding his teeth together and wincing still in pain. Slowly his hands shakily rise to his now broken helmet, taking it off his head dropping it to the ground with a clank.

Symara and Lavali exchanged looks before the Major gave the floor to the Lieutenant. "Yeah could say that, we don't have much in the way of a permanent place but we're all trained," she began to explain and then put a hand to her chin. "You know maybe you should do the talking, I heard food." Which only garnered an eye roll or two from Lavali who stepped up and introduced herself properly, acknowledging the bow of his Lordship hers was lower.

"I am Major Lavali Sanjeet and that this is my lieutenant, Symara Tarriq. Over here is my heavy weapons specialist and her squad, serjeant Kala Matthieus, our comms and light infantry specialist and his squad, serjeant Charles Halifax." The Major then went about introducing a few of their stragglers before moving on to explain, " the majority of us are former Firemane Paramilitary, Symara and a few others are from Corellia and spent time with CorSec before arriving at Firemane." A pause as she continued, "and after several cases of questionable orders we decided to leave. Tried to strike out on our own but... we're not mercenaries, we're soldiers."

"Soldiers without a cause," Symara chimed in and then looked at Lavali, "right food."

"We appreciate your hospitality and hope to return it with our service to your nation if you will have of us." Lavali offered and then went on to add, "and we will most certainly undergo any training or checks that are necessary."

Honestly, Darlyn was quite impressed by Tiali's improvised rocket. The device sprang past him, colliding with the wall not far from one of the two fully capable soldiers, disabling them as they fell, crying out in agony. They'd.. probably live. Bacta did wonders after all. Even so, now he only had one soldier to level their rifle at the man who'd opened fire on government soldiers... more than he usually had but still a disability from before.

Making it very obvious, Darlyn unholstered his DL-18, and raised the weapon to point at Tiali on the ground as he moved out of cover himself. With a flick of his wrist, he hopefully sent the weapon beside Tiali sliding away, making his way closer bit by bit, the drifter resting on his shoulder. "Tired? If you'd like I could find you a nice bed in my brig to rest in, or a nice bed of dirt. Your choice really, though I'd suggest the former. Bed and breakfast, can't beat that right?" The light hit Darlyn's weapons first, showing the DL-18 was very well used and cared for. It had very distinctive scratches and markings on it, just barely visible on the handle of the weapon itself, but it would likely stick in his memory.

People just didn't mark weapons like that without meaning after all. "So? Your choice?"

"Oh no, you're right. They aren't my citizens." He paused for a second, feigning failure as in the loosest of terms his ruse had been pulled up, the veil pulled back in a sense before turning back, "Well. Not yet at least." He chuckled, prancing back and forth between the tight corridor with not a care in the world. He was hoping she would be drawn in but was more level headed than he thought. Though apparently not wise enough to realise after all the years he had been in the business of being a nuisance, he wore almost only ever Phirk.

His body started to feign faltering, his arms making exaggerated motions back with every touch of Blaster fire, pressing himself back with every step before halting his false defeat. "Oh... Oh no, you got me... Oh, the humanity... A few stray blaster bolts have defeated me, clad in Phirik I stood nary a chance. Ahh..." He pressed the back of his hand atop his brow, like some sort of Shakespearian play.

After letting it hang in the air a few seconds he pulled himself back up, his head cocked to the side, it was clear what he meant, he was unamused. Uninterested in mild games of fire the pew on the essentially impenetrable wall. At least, to something as minor as a Blaster Bolt. "No. But seriously. You gonna play for reals because if you don't there is this droid who killed a bunch of people that I gotta deal with." He was hoping that trivialising the encounter would prompt an attack, for Stardust to strike out in rage after being talked down too. And if it did work, same plan as last time, bend, kick overhead and shot while defenceless in the air.

Terrac jest kept his hands at his sides while the crew saluted [member="Veiere Arenais"] . He did feel out of place and merely nodded his head to those that met his eyes. But they weren't his crew or his coworkers. He preferred to work on his own. And on much smaller ships.

He followed them to the mess hall and got into line straight away to grab something to eat once Veiere gave him the go ahead. Terrac was sure to grab the essentials; meat and veggies. He took a new glass, having set his other one down somewhere on the bridge, and reserved it for more whiskey.

Yet instead of joining them, Terrac took a seat at another table. It wasn't that he needed anyone to feel sorry about an old man, it was just that the meeting with Veiere and his guests weren't his business. Besides, he liked eating alone. It gave him ample time to just study and observe. He had a lot to think about, a lot to plan for. He knew that he'd have to confront Kay again, but more importantly, he'd have to teach her son how to fly.

He was more excited for the former than the latter.

"It is we who should be apologizing to both the Lady Kay and your Household for so frustrating your schedule," the Sullustan President took on a solemn tone once they had exchanged introductions with Godfrey. With a sweeping gesture towards the rest of the Alliance retinue Jaius bowed slightly as the others in the retinue nodded their heads sagely in assent, before he continued, "If I may take the liberty of speaking for my esteemed peers, we bid you thanks for a most welcome reception."

At first, President Sovv had suspected that the lavish catering may have been some sort of show for their benefit, perhaps a symbol of Commenor's strength. But when the Sullustan noted the familiarity with which Godfrey regarded each of the household staff, his skepticism faltered as he realized these servants had not been brought in from the outside just to impress them, but were on permanent retainer. Jaius was a firm believer that how a culture chose to treat their guests spoke volumes, and if their reception at the Royal Palace were any indication the President believed there people could have much in common. The Alliance politician could only hope when they met at last the Free Lady would agree.

"Is there anything else that you need? Some light entertainment? A tour of the grounds?"

Godfrey's question jogged the elder statesman from his ponderings, and to everyone in the room's surprise Jaius spoke up at once, "While I cannot speak for everyone, personally I would love a tour. So long as you are sure it is not an imposition, to either yourself or the Lady Kay."

Upon the Head of the Household's assurances that it was not, Sovv smiled a wide, slightly dopey Sullustan smile.

"Wonderful! I'm most interested in the Palace's history, but particularly the architecture!" the President chattered away as he shuffled along with the assistance of his hovercane, "I'm afraid we don't have anything quite like it on my homeworld. The restraints of subterranean building, you see..."

As Godfrey escorted him from the meeting hall, the politician would speak much, but he would also listen intently. Not to pry, but to gain some measure of the man and hopefully, by extension, the people of Commenor. After all, Jaius had grown up in not entirely dissimilar economic circumstances than the Commenori who now waited upon him. He had now doubt his meeting with their Queen would be most illuminating, but a poor diplomat he would be if in opening formal ties he spent no time getting to know who these people truly were.

She watched him with a annoyed eye, her hands gripped her blaster as she took a breath in and holstered them, part of her came back as she shook her head a minute...this man didn't seem worth it

However he talked down to her and this made her very mad, however rather then charge she simply closed her eyes and charged a fire ball

thraxis, I'll be serious here you are the most ridiculous pirate I've ever known....but you impress me

She stopped the fire as she simply grabbed her guy and started moving back away from him with a smug look on her face and chuckled

maybe I'll fight you later....it's much funner if we both don't die yes? Maybe we will...talk later

She turned and laughed as she left the room to go deal with saving the ship, she might just cross paths with [member="Darlyn Excron"] and [member="Tiali Orazio"] as she sat her guy down panting and screamed out

Titan waited and waited. Eventually he got bored, so he sat down on the furniture nearby. Patience was a virtue and Titan possessed it in great troves now, perhaps not before, but now, now, he did. And he would wait, nothing would deter him, he would talk to [member="Lady Kay"]. And perhaps even try and kill her, it depended on how things went. But for now Titan would ponder on the force. Formerly he had thought of it as a tool as a weapon to be used by a chosen few, but perhaps it was more than that, a enity beyond the perception and power of all others, perhaps it was the blood of a massive being who had been killed by the Celestials out of which the galaxy was made. Maybe it truly was a force, well Titan would use it, and he would choose a side soon. While the light offered healing and peace. The dark side offered what Titan wanted, power, vengeance, and death to all who opposed him. He could be a deity, all he needed was power, perhaps he could find it in what he already had. Titan had run faster than he ever had before after he had put the chain around his neck, he had heard stories of those who learned to use the force to enhance their speed and reflexes. Perhaps speed was the key. The key to becoming a god, someone more powerful than anyone else. Someone powerful enough to rule the galaxy, and Titan wanted to be that person, he would become a Sith. And it would start with killing Kay, a traitor to the Sith. His mental battle over the force was over, after fifteen months, he was ready to be reborn.

Olivia was… proud of him and she thought [member="Lady Kay"] would be too? He hadn’t heard that in a very long time. It meant more to him than all his brashness and bluster would let on. It meant more than he thought it would.

This feeling reminded him of days before his father’s murder. Of a life where he wanted to be someone, where he tried to make his parents proud. Fifteen years of running around the galaxy as a playboy smuggler and hired fighter pilot and the crumbling of his family turned him away from caring what other people thought. He’d given up on trying to do much of anything other than make ends meet and pick up women.

He wasn’t a roaming pilot for hire anymore. It had taken him too long to realize what he now had. He’d been acting like the same devil-may-care playboy, but with an anger problem, not like someone who might one day have worlds looking up to him for comfort and direction. Nor like a student of the force. He’d run from responsibility and looked for the easiest ways out.

Olivia led him back into the palace. As they walked slowly toward his mother’s office, he turned to her, “Please do. It’s rather important, though I understand he has many responsibilities.” He sighed. “They all do. I should, but I ran from them. Don’t tell anyone this but,” he gave her a conspiratorial wink, “I was afraid of being a prince.”

Unhooking his arm from her, he turned to her, placing his hands of her shoulders, “This has been very helpful. I’m sorry I ever doubted you. It’s people like you that make Commenor great. Now it’s my turn not to let you down. I’ll let you get back to your business, I’m sure you’ve missed a lot. I’m just going to walk around and wait for [member="Veiere Arenais"]

As he left Olivia, walking in the direction of his mother’s office, he sensed anger and uneasiness permeating the force. At first, it was just something at the back of his mind, but as he closed in on [member="Titan"] and the charred body of a servant, the feeling became tangible. He couldn’t believe what he was seeing. A servant lay dead in the middle of the hall looking, and smelling, like she’d been caught in a wildfire. That explained the uneasiness. But as he looked over at the man sitting on the bench, he knew from where the anger was coming. Or rather, from whom.

He understood the feeling far too well. It was the feeling that had lately gripped him so often. In the split second of understanding what had transpired, it tried to grip him again. This time, he forced it away. Despite almost every bone in his body wanting to kill the man on the bench, he chose another path. He was sick of the hatred, the anger, and the chaotic violence.

He slid his blaster out of the holster, but as a show of faith, he kept it aimed at the floor. “What happened here? Who are you and what do you want?” He tried to say as calmly as he could, his yellowed eyes never leaving the man.

Veiere smiled, sitting at the table and awaiting for them all to join him though curiously enough Terrac seemed to veer off to sit with his own company for the time, Veiere nodding faintly to himself in confirmation, feeling it best that he give the man his space as he had been brought back into the fold and there was likely a great deal on his mind now. Turning back to these Soldiers, Symara Tarriq and her peers, he glanced about the group all looking rather experienced and he knowing that Commenor needed good people; yet he too wondered how much they knew of their world and government.

"I don't know how much you might have heard about the Commenori" He started, lifting a hand as if to suggest pause on their decision. Veiere wasn't trying to deter them at all though it was important that they be educated on the subject before making such declarations of loyalty, his hospitality was an act of generosity but nothing more and he expected nothing in return. For their service, he would hope that one day they would come to believe and love the world of Commenor and the cause that they sought, as he did. "We are not a military state, our priority is the service to our people that they live in a democratic society given the best standards of living we can offer. Outside of Commenor itself, our sector we hope will act as a middle ground for other greater powers that seek neutral ground so to meet with would-be aggressors in the hope of peace talks and the avoidance of unnecessary conflict and loss of life...This vessel and her counterpart were commissioned by my recommendation, for our protection but nothing more...".

Offering a gesture by way of extending his hand in their direction he continued, "Much like you all served the Republic..." he turning his gaze to a nearby jug of water, pouring himself a glass while speaking to them, "Commenor is a similar example, peace and prosperity are our greatest desire for the Commenori. We do not intend to expand beyond our means nor take up arms against other governments. If you were to enlist and serve then it would likely entail more peace keeping duties rather than the hostilities of war. We have far more friends out there than we do enemies and host a number of Embassies for governments ranging from the First Order to the Silver Jedi Order...".

"You do of course have time to decide for yourselves, we are scheduled to return to Commenor following the training procedure and Lady Kay will be expecting me..." He grinned some, subtly hinting that had they the wish, he could quite easily gain them an audience with the Queen; a former senator of the Galactic Republic and spokeswoman for Commenor even back then.

Godfrey was rather pleased that [member="Jaius Sovv"] had agreed upon a tour. The Head of the Household had served the Palace for decades and he was quite proud of it. Every knew hire of the servant staff were given the tour and usually at the mention of it, senior level staffers could be seen rolling their eyes behind his back. But not today. Today he was showing around guests, so they all had to be on their best behaviour.

So he led the President and any of the others that chose to follow through the Palace. He spoke of the centuries old age of the building, and how many Presidents put on their own touches to different parts of the building, yet Kay did not. She had admired the history of the building and didn't make any decisions to modernize it further. For that she had Godfrey's respect.

He led the gtoup out of the Palace and onto the grounds, showing them the gardens, the hedge maze that Kay loved so much, as well as the view across the fields to the Twin Canyons and Eldritch Mountains.

Finally he brought them back into the Palace to the meeting room. No doubt that after all that walking, they were hungry. "Please, help yourselves. And I hope that you found the tour to your liking?" Godfrey was sure that they had.

Tiali looks up his eyes meeting with the barrel of Darlyn's blaster, a light smile slides onto Tiali's lips before coughing followed by a wince of pain. Tiali's hand raises to his side over a wound applying pressure onto said wound, returning his face to a smile he looks up to Darlyn meeting his gaze. "A bed sounds good as long as your offering,"

Pausing for a moment his thoughts rush through ideas to get away but none really shine, The screaming soldiers making so much noise doesn't help either. His tone still humorous and sarcastic while he ignores the pain," But only if I get room service, I get a bit peckish at night and I like to get snacks. You know what it's like"

Tilting his head looking down the hall at the injured soldiers, then returning his gaze back to Darlyn "One more thing I don't want a room near them if they're going to scream like that. It's just selfish." A pained chuckle escapes his lips as he looks at his actual options in the predicament. Hey Cadan might be just around the corner, or not... this might just be a one way trip.

Titan turned to face the being facing him. It looked like some servent who thought he was important, "Who I am is none of your buissness boy. I merely wish to speak with your mistress on buissness matters. Your fellow servant denied me the satisfaction of doing so, as such I removed her from the equation. If you do not wish to end up like her you should lea..." Titan's voice trailed off, something was different about this man, he seemed almost powerful. But Titan would show this boy that nothing would stand in his way, Titan pulled out his Silver Thorn, a hand cannon that shot plasma bolts equivalent to lightsabers, and then continued talking. "Nothing you do will stop me child, if you wish to live, leave now. I am Titan, Lord of Speed, and you. You are no match for me." Lord of Speed, that had a nice ring to it, he should call himself that more often. If [member="Bradshaw Ku"] would not leave, Titan would force him to do so, lethally.

Kay received no answer from [member="Krest"] . So she closed the channel and pocketed her commlink. After a breath, she opened the door to the washroom and stepped back inside of her office. Her eyes fell on [member="Vitor Avendahl"] straight away. "Sorry about that. As you can imagine, it's hard to get a moment's peace sometimes. It makes me glad that most of the chaos elsewhere in the Galaxy have yet to come here." She at back down at her desk. "Now, where were we? You were proposing making a small weapon for my own personal use?"

Olivia wasn't surprised in hearing that [member="Bradshaw Ku"] was afraid of being a Prince. There were many responsibilities that were included in such a role and he hadn't the maturity to handle it. That is until now.

As Brad placed his hands on her shoulders, she looked up at him with a warm smile. "I'll be sure to tell him straight away. Glad you're feeling better and don't worry. Secrets are safe with me."

She watched as he walked away before heading off to the kitchen. It was near supper time and she wanted to go over the menu and pick out what the Queen would be eating. She knew her habits and what she liked. During high times of stress Kay hardly ate at all, and that just wouldn't do for someone that needed to maintain her strength.

Ghorua walked alongside the large form of [member="Ultimatum"] and the large form of [member="The Squid"], striding forward on long legs. His posture was straight, uncharacteristically so, and tension ran strong under his face. "You could say I'm doing the same."

They walked through the bulk of Chasin City, taking in the area. The recent oppression and relentation of the government showed in the bustling energy of the shops and people, as if they were recovering from a large storm. Growth was in the air. It alleviated some of the Shark's stress as he continued his thought.

"I've had my ear to the ground for a while. I've noticed a change, yeah." Ghorua felt some distaste come back to his mouth. "The government's been building big ships. I've heard word of Commenor becoming a protectorate of the surrounding space." The Herglic grinned, a terrifying sight. "Stockpiling and expansion... Very Kay-like"

Ghorua felt like he had lost a friend. To him, the old Kay might as well have been killed.

"The palace is hiring me for a bounty. For what, I don't know." Ghorua placed his helmet in a large satchel, and crossed his arms over his chest. "I guess I also came because I was curious to see what this new regime has done to the planet. Obviously, it's doing pretty well for itself," he said, gesturing.

"Honestly, I'm not looking forward to seeing her again. I haven't since she... Y'know." Ghorua broke off his thought, his mind drifting to other places.
