"No that is just a place, the capitol is somewhere else. It has been very slow moving with the locals to get them to trust and pulling teeth would be easier but they can be honorable men and women... Just have to get past sometimes the near constant talk about the dangers of technology." She said it and in a way she could agree, a simple life free of technology was fine but it was when you the ones who didn't share your view of it with some looks or declared you didn't need it but had evidence of using it. Heading towards the building for all of them was quite nice as she looked over the desert area with some approval. The scent of the trees they planted and cared for there in the air.

Kay laughed a little bit at that. There were some strange people around, some of them hypocritical. But to each their own. She had learned a long time ago to take it in stride and not to worry about it.

She too could smell the trees and it was much more pleasing to the nose than the desert. As they approached the building she studied it and wondered what was inside.

There was the look of everything around them as the jedi master arrived with Kay at the building. A look of interest in all of it while the white stone gleamed from a fresh cleaning in the desert. This was a rather beautiful place and the pool looked crystal clear for swimming in before she could make out the glistening image of the wintrium pillar in the distance. It wasn't very visible and you had to strain your eyes but it was like a needle sticking up where it jutted from the ground.

Kay was again in awe at what she had seen. A nice pool, but was it for swimming? Or bathing? Or was it just a well for water? Was it sacred? So many questions that she had. The pillar was also almost missed. She half wondered if it was an illusion.

Yes it was and being inside it felt cooler once out of the desert. Everything was low tech as attendants came around with pitchers of water and others were drawing more into large pots to use in the marble tubs. She was rather liking the looks from all around while she stood near a table and got some food. A glass of water and she felt rather cool. This must be what it was like to be a senator and go to those lavish parties or something as she was rather enjoying it but careful. "THis is all very low tech but somehow it has its charms."

"Yeah...I wonder if they have more private baths too." Kay was quite modest with herself and didn't like being exposed in public. She always felt uncomfortable when wearing anything revealing, so she kept that to a bare minimum. The last thing that she could imagine would be to bathe in such a public place.

A private bath... there was likely one of them for people who could afford it as she spoke. "I think that is possible, there should be some private chambers for people or maybe groups" She shrugged but they had rooms, adjoining of course but also for some of the things. She was looking at the way they were being brought through with most of the attention for the things they could do. Matsu entering the one room that had a large window showing the desert out there with all of the doors opened to kays room that looked much the same. The marble walls and floors had a fur carpeting that drew her interest touching it. The wampa was imported and fluffy for a time. "It is quite nice."

One thing that Kay was glad about as they were inside was how cool it was. The temperature was perfect. She walked into her room and the first thing that she tested was the bed. She didn't get to sleep on one much, so it was rather lovely to be able to just lay down. So she sprawled out on her back and stared at the ceiling. "It is nice. I could catch up on a lot of reading here..."

Matsu could support that, catching up on reading and stuff was important and this was a place all about relaxation and recharging. She was all for the real fun stuff and adventuring but sometimes just had to lay down and sleep. That the beds looked like they were made to be the perfect level of comfort was also a nice thing when she was testing it. "It is very comfortable, don't know if I'd be able to lay down and read or just fall asleep." After everything they had gone through and everything going on that really wouldn't be such a bad thing to do though. "There is so much here we can do or go and see. never know what might be around."

"Catching up on sleep is never a bad thing either." The bed was cozy and she couldn't wait until nightfall to get a restful night's sleep. But as Matsu said, there were other things to look at and do as well. She just wasn't about to have a bath with everyone present. "What else do they have here, besides this spa-like building?"

Matsu moved to one of the beds and sat down on it laying for a moment as she grabbed one of the pamplets looking over all of it. She eyes going over sections of activities. "Looks like they have animal turns and rides, some sports you can go... oh there is a tour of the planet or at least this valley including the fountain of the ancients you can see. that is what I am here to talk with. We can work with the winthrium to study it and build it into some of our things. Maybe some new armor to protect senators but would have to work on some of the clothing since it is very protective and can be molded. Just need to make a machine to age it quicker."

Kay nodded. Each of those things sounded great. But then ageing winthrium? That was certainly puzzling. She didn't even know that the precious material could be aged to begin with. "How can it be aged? By using the Force to nudge the cells? Or by adding hormones to accelerate the process?" New armour would be nice, but Senators don't like to wear bulky clothing. At least some of them didn't. She used to be one of those.

Looking at her as she was debating it and offering a grin. "Oh there are ways to do everything, it ages from exposure to the air and that starts the process and then it just continues with more and more weight being added to it and well I have a research team working on it. We'll figure out the secret." At least that was the goal with her research team, they just needed to get there and work with it... which was the goal here. The base was being negotiated outside the range of the sacred site and they would be able to mine underneath and take the oldest as well as siphon off a few from the top to compare and study. The locals were getting a good deal and if there was a way to better maintain and protect the site well they would be getting that plus an influx of credits to handle the annoying and dangerous beings going after them or the fountain. She could work with Kay's diplomatic skills of course and who knew what else they might find here on the planet, it was all so mysterious.

"Air causes it to age? How interesting. But how is that process stopped? For example when it's made into clothing, it'll be exposed to air. Would it keep ageing? What happens to it when it gets really old? Does it break down?" So many questions that she had on it. There was a lot of mystery when it came to winthrium.

"No that is the interesting thing, the older it gets the stronger it gets, some of the old reports and samples the jedi collected long ago are a few sheets that can't be shaped and a lightsaber can't even penetrate it. The sheet though is still fairly lightweight." They had a couple samples but over time with the jedi it had become unusable except to show what happens with age and time. A small smirk on her face though. "If we can get it into a weave and made to work when it is flexible with time it could become a superior piece. With the right things like those ceremonial cloaks that are worn by everyone. It could give a nice amount of protection, we'll just need some of the younger samples to test and see."

Kay nodded in understanding. "Well now it makes sense. I follow you now." She wondered what kind of an outfit she could have it be made into. It wasn't as though she wore cloaks. "Maybe a jumpsuit of sorts would be good for it too. And would the material be able to moderate temperature? Or would there need to be something else added to it?" She'd want something practical, especially as she wasn't having to dress up anymore.

"For temperature we'll need to add some more to it and there are some ideas. The circlets we have been able to make for the jedi can be used by any force users to regulate temperatures. Some other things might be able to use it and with the right pieces of cloth you can have robes or suits that protect and regulate temperature." She had a few odeas like that as well and was looking forward to the work they could do with it as the jedi master looked over a few of the things. "Once we relax a little and it gets cooler outside we can go and see the site of the lab, show off all the things and talk with the peoples."

All of it sounded good. It was diverse enough to fair well with many demographics. More than likely she'd buy something for herself when the development of the material was finished. By then she should have some funds to pay for it.

Agreed, food was an important thing and they could do a whole lot with it while she fiddled with the one datapad they had provided and was looking at the food they had. "Looks like they have some good stuff in the one hall. Mostly health but the good kind of health with meat and bacon." She was all for health food and veggies, fruits but those who didn't eat meat could get just as sick as those who did... sometimes more so. Matsu was looking over some of the things while she changed into a different outfit, the jedi kimono styled with some protective weave and they could go forward to work on the real fun after eating.

Kay didn't get changed. She preferred to stay as she was. And besides, she didn't have enough clothes to change for every meal. "Meat and bacon works for me. One of my favourite food groups." She was quite fond of bantha steaks as well. Yet some fruit for later wouldn't hurt either.

After Matsu changed, Kay slid off the bed and stretched. "I'd love to try some of their teas as well. Shall we?"
