At least he understood this time instead of scolding her. Yet his insistence on it made her a little nervous. "It's still the middle of the night. Couldn't we wait until morning?" Yes, that was a great excuse for a delay. Maybe he would've forgotten by then.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Ok. We will do it in the morning." He says with a yawn. He was getting tired again. He sinks down into the bed under the covers. "After breakfast before we go to the site."

She nodded. "Thanks." Soon after she got back to the couch, she breathed an inward sigh of relief. It was a difficult thing to think of getting into contact with her children. Brad had run off, angry and blaming her for Shaw's death, while Rae Anna had gone into hiding. No doubt they would think that she abandoned them or hate her for not being able to keep them all together, or worse, loathe her for being the cause of Shaw's death. Many times since then she had wondered how different things would be if Shaw had survived instead. And as what often happened, she drifted off to sleep with different scenarios playing in her mind.

Soon after Kay left the room, he fell asleep. Thankfully, he didn't have anymore visions. He woke when the sun hit his eyes. He stretched in bed. He really didn't want to get up. He wanted to have a lazy morning. He missed having breakfast and wAtchinh holovision with Maddie. Poor Kay never got to have those memories of her adopted kids. He rolls out of bed. His foot hits a bag. It was his clean clothed. Thank the force. He quickly dresses.

Quietly he creeps into the main area of the suite. He didn't want to walk Kay from her sleep. He orders breakfast enough to feed an army and charges it to the room.

Kay slept soundly. It was a very comfortable couch. She didn't wake up until after the food had already arrived. Everything had been checked out and approved by her security team before it was allowed in.

The smell of the breakfast brought her out of her dreams. She slowly opened her eyes and gave herself a few moments to remember where she was and what she was doing there. Finally she sat up and yawned before spotting the huge feast in the room. "I didn't know that you were that hungry..."

"Yeah I may have overdone it. Your guards took their share of the food. Leftovers are going to the soup kitchen." He munches on a piece of bacon. "I love bacon." He comments to Kay as he puts more bacon on his plate. "Dig in." He had them set it up like a buffet. He wasn't sure what Kay and guards ate for breakfast. Besides Kay company could afford it.

She smirked as he spent her money so freely. Oh but it was Hawk and her salary was overinflated as it is. Kay got up from the couched and wandered straight over to the bacon. Oh he remembered! She piled a bunch on a plate with some toast and fruit. "I haven't had bacon in so long..." She took a bite and savoured it. The best taste in the Galaxy. She was in her own version of heaven.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Why is that? Are you on some health kick? I couldn't give up bacon." He eat another piece of bacon than pour some syrup on the pancakes. "These are so light and fluffy." He knew he was being a piggy. He didn't eat like this often.

"I've been thinking about how we should begin mediate on Rea Ann. Do you have something of hers still?"

"A health kick? No, I just couldn't afford it and didn't have a kitchen to cook it myself." She had always packed light on her travels, never staying anywhere long, never having a home to go back to. She still didn't have a home yet, except for her ship that she used for business. Some day she'll purchase a home, but she didn't know where just yet.

To his question of her adopted daughter, Kay shook her head. "I have nothing from either of them but fading memories..." She took a bite of her bacon and chewed it slowly as she lost herself in her thoughts. What a horrible mother she turned out to be.

He tried to hide his disappointment. He had really hoped that Kay had Rea Ann favorite teddy bear or something. It would have helped her to focus on it. "Don't worry about it. We can try a different technique. We can focus on thos fading memories. Try to make them stronger and use that to guide you to her."

He finishes his cup of coffee and waits for Kay to finishes breakfast before beginning.

She sighed. "I'm sorry Hawk. I didn't have time to pack and I didn't expect them to run off the way that they did. You know what a horrible time that was for all of us. We lost pretty badly."

Kay finished eating that piece of bacon and then put the rest of her food aside. Maybe she'll eat it later. "I'll try to focus on better memories, like when they first came to us..."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Yeah I remember". He tries not to think about those days. It hurts too much. "All right happy memories. Clear your mind of all questions, worries or doubt. Go back to that time. Reach out to them. Sense their presences through the force."

Kay nodded and closed her eyes. She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Okay..." She set her focus and concentrated as she would if she was about to heal someone. But instead of focusing on the wound, she focused on Rae Anna and the lovely hugs that she gave, as well as picking wild flowers near their home. Those were the good old days. She held onto those memories as she tapped into the Force. A little while later she could feel those feelings being reflected back and in such a way that she recognized the signature. "Rae..." Of course she lost her focus at that moment and opened her eyes. "Hawk she's still alive!"

Hawk monitors Kay progress through the force. He was impressed with her skill. She had forgotten. Kay wasn't as rusty as she claimed. His smiles at her news. "That great Kay." He could see the relief in her eyes that Rea was alive. "Now we can find her." Maybe this information will help ease Kay's burden.

She hesitated. "One step at a time. Besides, we have lots to do here." A little delay wouldn't hurt. Rae Anna was alive and hopefully she would realize that her mother was alive as well. Of course she was adopted, so there was always the chance that she had found her birth parents too and was happy.

"Yes, we do. We can return ths later. It is a good start." He stands and packs up the left overs. There was enough left for ten people. "We are going to need more food than this." He says commenting to her.

"I'm not sure that the local government is prepare for an event like this." He switches on the news to listen to the reports. "They had another aftershock last night."

She couldn't believe that they had slept through an aftershock. Kay got to her feet and helped to pack up the food. Once that was about ready, she stepped out the door and asked for the head of the kitchen staff. Her guards followed in behind as they made their way to the kitchens. With little time to spare Kay quickly immobilized a team of them to start cooking plenty of simple meals for those recovering from the quakes. Once some were ready, they were to shuttle the food to the makeshift tent cities and hand them out.

It was all set in motion. Kay headed back to her room with a couple of her guards in tow. "Food is being prepped and ready to distribute. Time to go and see who needs healing and see what buildings need replacing." Already she had taken charge of the situation, leaving Hawk to play catch up. There was a reason that she got this COO position and it was because she was good at organizing and leading people.

While Kay went downstairs, Hawk contacted the Silver Jedi to give his report on the diseaster and asked for their assistance. They would sending some people to help with the rescue. After that he contacted Maddie again. He just needed to hear her voice again. He also sent a quickly reply to [member="Leilani Paaie"] to let her know that he was all right and that he loved her.

He just finished his calls when Kay returned. "Wow. That great. I contacted the Silvers and they will be sending some people to help also." He tells her as they head out the door.

She nodded a little, not exactly excited about seeing other Jedi just yet. But beggers can't be choosers. "Alright. Tell them thanks."

Kay headed out with Hawk and her security team in tow. They took a shuttle to one of the first tent cities and set out to work. She went straight to one of the medical tents and surveyed the injured, looking to see who needed her help the most. There were plenty of broken bones and crushed limbs. Oh boy, it was going to be a long day.

[member="Lady Kay"]

Hawk couldn't believe what he was seeing.. All these tents..all these people were homeless or injured. He walks along not sure where to begin. It all seemed so hopeless. That what he was sensing from them. He shooks his head. It was time to make himseld useful.

A little girl tugged on his pant leg. He knees down to her. "Hi sweetie." Her eyes were all red. "Hi...can you help. My kitty She got trapped."
Hawk nods. "Sure, show me where she is." The little girl took his hand and lead him to half destroyed house. He could barely hear the kitty meowing.
