Kay had her security team help to pull people out from the rubble and make sure that there was no trouble. Desperate people can get a little hostile at times. But there was plenty of food and supplies on it's way.

In the meantime she moved from bed to bed, healing those that desperately needed it throughout the day. She couldn't help everybody as she just didn't have the power or the strength. But there were others coming. Surely Hawk knew other healers.

"Stay right here." He tells the little girl. He walks slowly to half collapse house. It didn't look very stable. He glances over his shoulder to make sure that the little girl was staying put. The little girl stood there watching while sucking on her thumb.

He knew he shouldn't risk his life for a kitty. He had to least try to get the kitty. He was in the doorway when he spotted the little kitty stuck in between the stove and the wall. He knelt down. "Shhhhh. It will be okay." He gently pulls on the stove moving it a few inches freeing the kitty.

He grabs the kitty in one hand and holds it tight as he makes his way out of the house when another aftershock begins.

Oh no, another aftershock. The rumble was heard underneath their feet as the ground shook. Everyone held onto what they could, some screaming, others just shutting their eyes tight. There was nothing that they could do but wait and they were fortunate to be in tents for the fabric was more forgiving in a quake than a brick building.

Once it was over, Kay reached out through the Force to see if Hawk was okay. With each passing hour, her confidence in using the Force again grew. At least here there wasn't a chance of her getting attacked for it.

The house rattled and moans as it shifted in the earth. Something large above Hawk falls on him. It knocks him onto his hands and knees by a steel table. Suddenly the building collapse down on top of Hawk and the kitty. Hawk slides under the table just in time. The kitty meows and scratches him. Hawk releases the kitty. The kitty sniffs around. He reaches up to his head to brush his hair out of his eyes. His hand comes back red. Must have hit his head.

The little girl screams and runs into a tent after the quake. She bumps into Kay. "My..my..kitty...man..." She was so upset and crying to hard. She points outside at the pile of bricks where a house once stood.

Kay's concentration was broken by the little girl bumping into her, giving her a bit of a start. She knelt down. "Your kitty is out there?...Okay, you show me."

The little girl led her away to the large pile of bricks and debris. Bits of dust was still floating in the air. "Where is the kitty?" The little girl took her to the place where the kitchen once stood and let her know that there was a man in there too. That wasn't good. "Hello? Anyone in there??" Kay waited to hear a sign.

The weight of bricks and wood causes the table to buckle a little. Hawk glances up. This wasn't good. Neither was his pounding headache. He couldn't concentrate it hurt so much. Hawk lays down under the table on his stomach. The kitty cuddles against him. The poor thing was shivering or was he the one that was shivering.

Was that Kay's voice. He calls out. "Kay! It came out as a whisper. He was so tired. He just wanted to closed his eyes.

It might of been quiet, but she heard something. And the little girl was positive that a man was in there. So Kay whistled for her security team. All eight members plus a few extras were quick on hand to start working through the debris. As the bricks were getting removed, they could see the air pocket created by the table.

It was then that she saw her friend's bleeding head. "Hawk!" She helped to free up more space and then one of her men pulled him to safety. "Oh you silly man! Don't go wandering off alone. Now we need to put you in the tent. And don't go to sleep either." Instead of having him carried to the tent, Kay made him walk. But at least she was kind enough to let him lean on her.

The bricks were being moved away. Hawk saw a flash of sun. He moans softly as the light hits his eyes. He lifts his head as Kay calls his name agIn. "Kay." He mouths. It hurt to talk. His whole body was sore. One of Kay's guards pulls him to his feet. "Kitten." He says. The guard grabs the kitty and gives it to the girl.

"Thank you." She hugs the kitty as she along with Hawk and Kay. Hawk leans on Kay. "Head hurts. I just want to sleep." He says to Kay. "Just a few minutes."

Kay led him to the tent quickly. At least there it won't be as bright. She layed him down on an empty stretcher. "No, you can't sleep. No matter what. You do that, then you'll be joining Shaw. I can't let that happen....Tell me about Maddie. What's her favourite game?"

He had to keep talking and she needed to concentrate. She placed a hand over the wound on his head and closed her eyes, concentrating on the Force and on releasing the pressure on his skull. There was plenty of swelling and she took her time bringing it down. If she had gone too fast, she could do him harm and of course that was what she was trying to avoid.

Hawk lays down on the stretcher. His eyes kept fluttering. He wanted to sleep so bad. He was so tired. "Maddie..favorite game? I don't remember. She really doesn't have a favorite. She..." He closes his eyes for a second. He sees a ghost image of Shaw. "Shaw?" He says out loud. Shaw tells Hawk that it is not his time yet. He must help protect Kay and the others.

The mention of her husband's name caused her to open her eyes and break her concentration. Seeing that his eyes were closed, she gently shook his shoulders. "Hawk stay awake! What colour are Maddie's eyes? What's her favourite story?" Kay wouldn't continue healing him until she was sure that it was safe.

Hawk's eyes slowly open. He couldn't focus. Everything looked blurry. "Hmmmm..blue. She was blue eyes." He was so tired. "Tell Maddie I love her. I am. ..take care of her Kay." He just wanted to sleep.

Well it wasn't working. So she had to do the unthinkable. She took her water bladder out from her satchel and poured it directly onto his face. "You take care of her Hawk! She's your daughter! Now stay awake so that I can fix you!" If only he could be knocked out so that she could just fix him already. But head injuries can be so fickle.

He jerks a bit from the water poured on his face. It had it affect it woke him up for now. "Ok..I'm awake." His head was pounding. "Just hurry. I want to sleep." His stomach lurch and turns to side and throws up all over her shoes.

And there's breakfast, now sitting on her shoes. Well he's going to have to pay for that, or wash them by hand. Kay placed her hand on his head again and closed her eyes. "Tell me about the first time you saw Maddie..."

As he would speak, she'd tap into the Force again, being ever so gentle as she eased the swelling in his head.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Sorry." He mumbles. He felt bad about the shoes. "Maddie.. She was two years old when I first saw her. She...was so cute. I fell instantly in love with her. I was so mad at her mom for not telling me about Maddie. We were just fling but this was my daughter. " he says mumbling a little.

The pain was slowly going away as Kay bought down the swelling.

Kay heard him speak, but she wasn't listening. She was too busy trying to help him. The important thing was that he was still awake. She held her concentration, focusing on repairing the damage. He had a tiny fracture in his skull which needed her attention. So she worked at fusing those bone cells back together.

About ten minutes later she was finished and opened up her eyes. "Better?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Yeah. It better than before. I can atleast see straight again.." His headache was more manageable now. He knew that Kay couldn't complete heal him but he wasn't in danger anymore.

"Thank you" he says to Kay looking up at her. "You look tired. Better rest in between patients. Isn't okay if I sleep now?"

She shook her head, both at his suggestion that she rests and also at his request to sleep. "Sorry, no can do. I'll need you to assess the others and see who needs help first." At least most of his concussion appears to be gone.

Hawk slowly sits up. He felt a little dizzy. "Ok. I guess I can do that." He swings his feet to the edge of the cot and stands. He briefly loose his balance. "Umm Kay..I think.."he sat back down. "Might too soon for me to move around." His face pales.
