Casus Belli (Tygaran Alliance/Galactic Alliance vs First Order Rebellion of Kaeshana)

Maurice Dalton

Yalara, New Vaiken.

"What do you mean there's combat at Kaeshana?"

"The First Order's forces at Kaeshana were attacked by the Galactic Alliance, Commissioner, sir!"

Maurice closed his eyes and leaned back into his ebony chair. Straight backed, the former One Sith Commando nodded once, twice, then thrice. "What other planets are in close proximity?"

A datapad was placed before him on the large table.

"New Balosar and Quesaya," Maurice said with a slow nod of his head as his eyes scanned the document. "That's where the Galactic Alliance will have forces. We should avoid those planets. Get me a ship ready, we're going to Chalcedon." It was one of the closer planets to the First Order's border, and was in relatively close proximity to the planet Kaeshana, the one where both Alliance and Imperial forces fought for occupation. One could only imagine what the consequences would be for the populace at the end of the day.

Flying: Knight Class Fighter
-----------------------

"Knight One, change of plans," a voice came in through the comm. It garbled, but then came through. "Jamming ground transmissions. Name- Stellaris. Disable."

"Roger that, command," Roth replied, pulling back from the throttle and angling away from the squadrons dropping down to the ground to provide ground support. He leaned back and flipped adjusted a lever, straightening the craft out. His droid whistled grumpily at him, and he chuckled. "Just keep us flying. We'll get new ones soon enough."

"Wild Knights," Roth added through the squadron comms. "Change of target. Follow my lead." He wheeled the craft around, adjusting course as the many fleets began to wheel through the distant stars. He studied the readouts and caught sight of the Stellaris. Stormcloud. Heavy cruiser. A smile spread across his face. "New objective is to disable or destroy a cruiser jamming our troops."

He grimaced as the comms began to register jamming- overriden with static. He took a deep breath and reached out with the Force, feeling the presence of those around him. Roth could sense their minds, and they his, even communicate, so he broadcast the message that way.

Targeting the cruiser Stellaris. It's jamming comms. Disable and destroy. Starting with engines- stagger lasers, ions, heavy ordinance, VTs in that order. Split around for a second attack run from the interceptors with ion.

He'd run through the sequence as he set course for the cruiser. Lasers would start weakening the shield, ions should disable it entirely, allowing the bombs and torpedoes to cripple the engines while the VTs peeled open the hull like a can-opener. That would keep them busy enough and cut down their power availability that could be afforded to be spent on jamming.

Enemy fighters began to appear- small sleek TIEs that raced towards them.

Interceptors engage. Bombers proceed to target.

The squadron, mixed while wearing two semi-fake squadron insignias painted on their hulls. Wild Knights weren't supposed to be identifiable. Look like just any other squadrons. So far, the ruse had been fairly successful. He sensed something through the force and angled his guns, squeezing the trigger. Lasers shot forth and caught one of the TIEs in the wings- sending it spiraling down towards the planet below.

Lasers and explosions rocked through the void around them, but so far, they wove between them all with a certain elegance. The assault proceeded as the cruiser grew closer. It was almost in attack range.

"Accelerate to full speed," Roth noted, mind already working on calculating trajectories and the dozens of fibers in the tapestry that surrounded him. It was instinctual by this point, mind and hands running nearly independently as he relied on the guidance of the Force to put the craft exactly where it needed to be. He switched a trigger to prepare ion weapons and yanked the controls. The craft rolled to the side, cutting across a tight curve to line up on the engines. "Weapons free."

He pushed the fighter a little harder, its frame rattling at the intensity. Just a little further...

He breathed deeply as HK made his joke. He smiled, and depolarized the visor on his helmet so the droid could see he was. He made a dash for the ramp as the droid went for his own objective. He had his orders.

Cause mayhem.

As soon as he ran out the ship, and was set on by enemy blaster fire, he returned fire- with deadly accuracy from his slugthrower. Stormtroopers were felled, three of them to be exact. He rolled into cover, reaching up to his neck and activating his comm unit. He spoke on the open GA frequency, and moreso to his friend Kiyron, and the scared soldiers of the GA. They weren't all as experienced as he was, or the stormtroopers in fact. But they definitely had more heart than they did.

"This is.."He paused. Some GA soldiers turned to look at him. They knew the armor right away."This is Commander Rohn. All stations, requesting callsigns and sit-reps for units near the citadel."He rolled his body, and aimed his slugthrower at an approaching fire-team of stormtroopers. They didn't make it very far.

"We are going to take this Citadel, over."

He said bluntly, thumbing his slugthrower back to semi-automatic.

Kyrel was in the heat of battle. All around him he could feel a whirlwind of emotions swirl around him like a hurricane. It was exhilerating as he had never been in the thick of so much fighting before. He kept cutting and hacking at GA troops all the while they were at the mercy of his blade. He severed limbs, heads, and entire bodies. He kept deflecting blaster shots which would travel either back at the ones who fired them or straight at the wall. It didn't matter to Kyrel either way as he fed off the emotions, and allowed it to further his own rage, and dark power.

He than saw BE came up,and she sounded pleased as she spoke to him. He responded in kind coldly while blocking. "Very good move our forces in to assist his troops. Let's deal with these Jedi one way or the other." He said as the troopers from his squads tried to take flanking positions towards the enemy, and hailing them with blaster bolts killing many soldiers in the process.

He than saw What looked to be an armored man with a slugthrower dealing with his troops and grinned. He spun his saber around in a classic Djem So move, before extending his hand out and attempting to force pushing him into a pillar. He continued to drive deeper into the enemy horde hoping to encounter the Jedi.

As Brent watched the burning star destroyer, he felt something break inside. The storm whipped around, rain pelted their armor mercilous, splattering on the dirt around them. Mud besmirched the flawless white armor of the stormtroopers with him. Just like there was a taint now, there were lives that were being lost every second now and more were going every moment. As long as he had been alive, Brent had worked hard to save lives and do the right thing. Even when he had a choice, he spared lives every time. But now, in war, there was nothing but death.

"Sargent," Brent's words were sharp and crisp as thunder roared, "Mount your men up for a ride."

"Where shall I tell the men we are going, sir?"

Brent's head turned slowly. He only had twenty men, ten speeders, each with an E-web. It just might be enough--it just--, "Hell."

"Yes, sir."

He removed his clip from the verpine rifle and slid in a clip of the Sith Killer rounds. The wind whipped around them like a wild torrent. The rain splattered on them with a rageful hail. Brent clicked his visor over, showing the one picture of his Mara Rockwell he had. It was from the last leave he had, a harrowing cold of realization ran through him--that could be the last time he saw her. What was the last thing he told her? What did they talk about? Did he tell her he loved her one last time?

"We are coming on our base, sir the trenches are under heavy attack," the Sargent driving said.

"Petal to the metal, when we get in range, rain down death from those Ewebs," Brent ordered. He stuck his head out the window. A single Jedi (( this is for you [member="Audren Sykes"] :) )) from the verpine rifle scope seemed to be raining down some thermal dets on the trenches. It was time to give the good boys in white some cover--sniper cover. He pulled the trigger once--twice--three times, sending the sith killer shots down range as the ten mounted E-webs opened fire on those assaulting his comrades.

I got tired of twiddling my thumbs. :)

Grenade passed grenade mid-air, more than a foot apart, before each went on their merry way. The dual-explosion sent both smoke and debris flying. It was more than enough to cause the fragile remnants of nearby buildings to shake, and in the case of several spots, knock their walls down completely. Esker was sent scrambling, having to roll away from the collapsing cover. Somewhere along the way his rifle was dropped and lost beneath the rubble. Left with little to defend himself with he panicked, turning to see if his opponent was on his tail. At first there was too much dust in the air for him to see past, even with his helmet's special optics, so he took a few seconds to get back on his feet. By the time he got up the debris had finished settling, revealing a far different battlefield than the one he had originally walked into. Things had been left open by the explosions, the ground being almost flat, save for the occasional broken slab or rock.

Feth, the soldier thought, a lump forming in his throat. He had come to the planet with the intention of helping the populace, not watching his friends die and helping level a ruined city. Reality left him a bit disheartened, as well as a fair bit angry. When his opponent spoke, his rage flared a bit, and he once again locked his sights on her. You're causing trouble, he thought, stopping you is a good thing- it's more than revenge. Justifying his actions was important to him, given the failure of his initial plan.

"Sergeant Khalthe is dead. If he wasn't, he'd tell me to fight you," Esker said, his helmet's speakers ensuring that his voice would reach the woman. With a pause he'd reach for his baton, hoping that he'd be able to stand his own against her, despite his preference for firearms. "The boss always had a good head on his shoulders... so I guess I'll do what he'd want me to. Gotta honor the fallen, one way or another."

Enemies: [member="Tanomas Graf"], Imperial Remnant Fleet

Commodore Rausgeber commanded Commander Isauros to interfere with the Imperial Remnant fleet. He would try his damned hardest to fight well. The extra ships have given him an edge he did not have before.

"Put the ships in a staggered line. Ships at different altitudes to give clear firing arcs for all ships. When we are within range, concentrate fire on escorts and corvettes," Basileus said to his comms officer, who would tell the relevant commanders their orders.

"Victory-X's, I want you to concentrate as much forward firepower on the Tartan Cruisers. Our escorts are to join the concentrated fire on the Tartan Cruisers unless enemy fighters, bombers or missiles are coming."

Basileus planned to deploy his bombers to attack the larger craft of the Imperial Remnant. If the anti-fighter ships were out, his fighters and bombers wouldn't get blasted into scrap. It would appear poor form to send his superior officer's ships to the grave. Commander Isauros would risk his own ships before the Commodore's. He couldn't risk going for a direct assault on the command ship of Tanomas Graf, as he had just been informed the First Order and allies had just attacked it.

"Keep the ships in multiple different elevations. We are going to be within range shortly." Basileus started to shake with anticipation and licked his lips. This action could go very wrong for him, but the whole goal was to interfere, not to engage the entire fleet.

"Deploy the fighters and bombers, conceal them behind our own ships. Fighters are to escort the bombers when they attack otherwise, they are to intercept any that break through our killing zones."

Location: Relocated to the north side of the Citadel of Dawn

It was as Laira Vereen’s potent attack run was underway that the orbital reserves arrived for the Alliance, and not a moment too soon.

Down from the north, moving in behind [member="Ludolf Vaas"]’ forces, came the Alliance relief force.

Four squadrons of Avenger Starfighters moved in, following up Laira’s attack with their own. Two split off to engage First Order fighters, whilst two moved in to attack the infantry and vehicles the First Order had. They avoided the giant Sabrecat walker – they didn’t have the ordinance to hook that whale. Rather, they swept in on the infantry with laser cannons blazing and proton torpedoes and rockets smashing into them before turning and heading back to reform with the incoming transports and gunships.
If the FO had anti-air doubtless some would be lost once the extent of it was known.

However, this was just the start. Deployed from the Vigilance frigates and Sentinel cruisers, the Cobra gunships and dropships came in. The dropships ejected their troops quickly and then headed forward.
The dropships landed their troops back from the action, with their vehicles and artillery rolling out.

The gunships meanwhile moved in the aftermath of the strafing run. Targeting the First Order infantry and lighter vehicles, though not the monster walker, they unleashed their rockets and laser cannons. 816 rockets would be deployed very quickly onto the battlefield along with 24 gunships worth of laser cannon fury.
They would then break off to cover deployment. Doubtless some would be hit by any AA fire, but again how many would only be known afterwards.

And so now the Alliance forces were deployed and would move forward from here. The plan was quite simply to fall upon Ludolf’s forces in the wake of the air attack, destroy or drive them away, then reinforce the forward push on the Citadel.

XXX

Tempest herself was following her firemaned girlfriend into the action. Lightsabre blazing and following behind Aeron and Michael, she moved forward with lightsabre in hand. From her hand came bolts of lightning at any Stormtrooper unfortunate enough to get in her path.
She fought to get forward and joined Elpsis. Two elemental masters were better than one after all!

They had a motley yet deadly crew of Abregado droids, Eldorai, Firemane and other troops making the assault. Above all though they had the Force. However, they’d need the reinforcements being landed soon. The last hydras following them around the mountain were blasted apart, and many soldiers became casualties and several vehicles were disabled or destroyed. This would be a bloody battle.

Forces and deployment:
(Forward Firemane contingent – Tempest, Elpsis etc)

(New contigent – landed to the north, near to Ludolf’s forces)
 • 1,250 infantry armed as above – the contingents of 5 Vigilance Frigates from the fleet. Infantry mounted in Yazgids.
 • 3 Manticore Heavy Support Tanks.
 • 18 Typhoon artillery tanks. 6 with AA missiles, 12 with standard cluster munitions.
 • 9 Thunderer SPA. Deployed rearwards with air support.
 • 6 Hydra AA tanks.
 • 15 Reaver assault tanks.
 • 3 Firemaw MAVT
 • 3 heavy and 6 light Mag’ladroth walkers.

The ride over to the Citadel of Dawn was not much of a break from the fighting as Sed had hoped. The gunships were under constant gun fire, several being downed in the process. Other than psychologically, Sed had not been affected, until Gunship Niner had been hit dead on, causing it to wing the vessel he was aboard. The damage minimal, and the pilots experienced, they managed not to follow the path of Niner and maintain altitude and trajectory towards the intended objective, but the turbulence was hell. The commanding officer, a GADF Major, shouted above the sound of screeching metal, canons, and the air rushing by, "All troops, handles gripped, I repeat, handles gripped!" Immediately, those who hadn't already, got their hands around one of the handgrips on the gunship. Unfortunately, the gunship took a huge shake when a flak round bursted nearby, causing a Pyre PMC to lose his grip, and fall from the vessel. Sed tried to grab his arm, but he was far too late. "Damn." He muttered, a falling death was one like no other, horrifyingly dramatic.

Finally the gunship, hardly on the ground amidst fire from the enemy. As the irregularly looking infantry exited the gunship, Sed among with them, they could see the white soldiers that were the Stormtroopers, elite units of the First Order. As they scrambled for cover, many of the assorted units were quickly picked off by precision fire.

Sed hit the ground hard as he found cover behind part of what had once been part of a gunship, but now served as his safe haven. Before providing fire, Sed checked his web gear for ammunition, only three canisters, most likely not enough to last him the firefight. Now, he took aim, peeking from the wreckage, he picked a few whitecaps and began squeezing off shots. Sed managed to take one of the bastards down before they found him and began laying down heavy fire. Frieder looked around, it was obvious the Alliance forces needed to push up, but the First Order was holding them down.

Interrupting his thoughts, a Firemane soldier dove for the cover Frieder was behind, forcing the PFC to crouch into a smaller position to avoid being caught in the open. The woman looked up at Sed, and through quick, consistent breaths, ordered, "You, follow me, we're advancing on these bastards," Cocking her blaster rifle, almost for dramatic effect, "and we're taking that Citadel." Frieder nodded and raised his pistol. After a few seconds to catch her breath. "Now!" She shouted, hurdling over the wreckage. Frieder followed, side arm in hand, firing blasts at any bucketheads he could see. Plasma bolts flew back and forth of all sorts of color varieties as Sed and the Firemane rushed towards the enemy, slipping in the dirt as they made hard turns.

Once again they paused behind cover to take their breathes, needing it after that sprint in their armor. The woman noticed something ahead, warriors of a different caliber than any of teh Firemane, Pyre, GADF or Eldorai. These warriors wore armor far more advanced than any of the infantry, and their weapons were not your average blaster, some even drew laser swords. Most likely, they were the leaders of the assault, those who could eliminate Stormtroopers just with a thought. "There." She remarked to Frieder, "If we wanna live through this we need to get behind them, those are the powerhouses of this battlefield," She grabbed him by the armor and pulled him close, glaring into his eyes, "Understand?" Sed nodded, "I understand, sir." The Firemane let him go and counted, "Three, two, one, go!" Once again they vaulted over their cover, heading for their next destination on the battlefield.

Sadly, the Firemane was hit in their near suicidal run, she flew back like she had been hit by a meteorite, but Frieder knew better than to look back, any wasted time in the open, was more time you could get your head blown off. After a shot landed within a few dozen centimeters of his feet, Sed dove behind the group of highly skilled masters in their occupations, joining a few other grunts who had gotten the smart idea to follow them closely. Quickly he stood up and began squeezing off shots form his blaster in just about every direction he could see a Stormtrooper, he had to earn his place with the gods among men.

Pharazon sunk down against a wall inside their newly occupied building on the second floor where the Molotov throwers had recently been, groaning in pain as he checked his wounded abdomen. After Pharazon and his Stormtroopers had taken the building they had watched as dozens of rebels to the south had fled down the intersection. They were still under fire and the building was continually being pock marked with slug holes and blaster craters with rebels to the west maintaining their positioning. The direct pressure was off for the time being however, and Pharazon had taken the initiative to move the rest of his men either inside or around the walls of the building and surrounding rubble. They had successfully managed to get off the road.

The muted sounds of pain still echoed from inside the building, however. These were not from dying or wounded rebels, they had all been killed and either piled out of the way or dumped from the upper windows during combat. But the medic and first aid capable troopers were doing what they could to keep the six or so walking wounded fighting for as long as they can as the non-wounded maintained their fire on the western rebels, now from more effective cover in the form of windows or from behind walls on the east side of the building with their backs in the opposite direction of the rebels.

Pharazon’s wound had ripped during the fighting and he was now bleeding again, his blood flowing over his already filthy and carbon scored armour covered in scratches and pieces of projectiles and melted sections. When the medic saw to him, however, there was not much that he could do to completely ease the wound. He replaced the dressing, having applied a coagulating agent and a disinfecting chemical but could do nothing more without a proper medical facility. It was a miracle that Pharazon’s armour had dissipated the blast as much as it had, as if it had not he would almost certainly have been mortally wounded. Before the medic could administer painkillers, however, Pharazon spoke up in a ragged voice.

“No painkillers, I need my mind” Pharazon said brusquely to the medic.

“But sir..” the medic began to respond, voice low and concerned.

“That is an order trooper” Pharazon said, sternly this time, pushing himself to his feet.

The medic slightly shook his head, Pharazon thought he was about to protest, but he stood up and moved off to another trooper with a projectile wound. “If you need me sir I will be right over” he said, resigned as he gave Pharazon one more look over with a cocked head from within his helmet.

I must hold this building until we can make a break along one of the roads toward whatever defensive positions are around the Citadel Pharazon thought, though he did not know how we was going to do it. He needed the rest of his platoon here, he needed Cain and second squad.

“Sergeant Cain, this is Lieutenant Draken confirm copy” Pharazon said quietly into his helmet com over one of the long range channel’s his platoon as he checked his rifle and secured his armour as best as he could before he joined the rest of his men. He hoped something would get through, the storm was dying down at east in the city and he had been picking up more and more longer range com signals so he could only hope Sergeant Cain and his men were still alive.

“pssshhhh...Draken… psssht… Cain… psskkrt…. Engineers… grrrkts… evac… copy over” Came over the com speaker inside Pharazon’s helmet, with a shock that he had actually got through he sent a data packet over the platoon command net containing their coordinates and orders to rendezvous.

“Lieutenant Draken!” cried Sergeant Sandalphon lowering his tactical binoculars. “Major rebel movement from the south, at least forty odd Eldorai rebels and some kind of projectile armed primitive attack speeder, they appear to be led by a large xenos , a Klatooinian p erhaps but I cannot be sure” Sandalphon reported.

“Understood Sergeant, all squads take up combat positions, prepare your weapons and cover positions for heavy blaster and projectile fire” Pharazon ordered calmly. He has a good mind on him, observant, succinct, if a bit excitable thought Pharazon on Sandalphon.

“We hold this building for as long as possible, it seems one of the more sturdy of the remaining buildings, if it becomes necessary we will move into the surrounding ruins, force them to follow us on foot and abandon their vehicle” he instructed his men who if they were not firing from the windows had gathered around.

“We must succeed, these rebels cannot be allowed to disrupt the other Order forces and Stormtrooper units unchallenged while the GA pushes against the city and Citadel, the consequences would be disastrous” his surrounding men nodded and got into their positions watching over the intersection and the paths leading into it for the oncoming rebels.

“Sandalphon, string whatever thermal detonators we have left into one or two pieces of webbing and make sure all troopers have enough power packs they are going to hit us hard and I will not have us left pissing in the wind with no means of resistance” his effective protege nodded and his met set about making ready for the assault or maintaining fire on remaining rebel positions.

Taking up his own position against a wall next to a window with the best view in the building of all roads in the intersection Pharazon tried one last desperate message to his Platoon Sergeant and his only real friend in the galaxy, Remus Cain.

“Cain this is Draken, I need you and your men here and now we are pinned down by what appears to be a significant rebel guerrilla operation behind our lines, I cannot overstate the danger the platoon is in, it is do or die my brother, may the mists part before you” Pharazon said, voice nearly overflowing with emotion before he brought himself under control. He recieved a garbled reply but could make nothing out of it, he could only hope Cain and his extra ten men were on the way.

He then readied his rifle, crouched and aimed down the road and waited for destiny with his men both inside the building and outside against the wall facing away from the rebel held sections, ready to lean out and fire upon the advancing rebels.

More people dead.

The insistent medic? Incinerated by the explosion most likely and the last thing he heard was Sardun mouthing off on him. It was difficult to keep serene and at peace when you had that, plus plasma bolts flying over your head. Aeron was smashing two flies with one swat, he could practically feel the power radiating away from her as she grasped the FRT-01 with telekinesis and threw it against the F4L-AW.

The Jedi would have done the same, if not for the fact that he wasn't that proficient in TK.

But he had his own talents. As she made short work of her side of the fight, he charged, his skin hardened and Sardun jumped, avoiding getting hit in the face by the armament of the gorram FRT. The proximity to the heat scorched his robe and the flesh underneath it. Gritting his teeth the Jedi ignored the pain, losing himself in the here and now of the moment, before grabbing hold of the FRT itself.

Some were gods of telekinesis, being able to rip ashred a gorram Star Destroyer with their mind. Others were capable of manipulating nature itself and create storms with the Force itself.

Sardun... was less subtle than the latter. He was strength enhancement and shielding, literally making his body a weapon in itself. The strength of his muscles increased as he called for the Force. Two seconds ago the tank would have been too heavy... now? Now it was nothing as he ripped away some of the armament, before literally throwing the thing at the AW.

Didn't take too long to jump back next to Aeron.

"I feel like I won that one, for your info." The Jedi mumbled to her, as he watched the firestorm.

Those star destroyers were vulnerable to assault from that direction, but then what forces were not? Star Defenders took huge engines to propel with any serious acceleration and that left little room for firepower.

“That Imperial class on the outer flank is the cornerstone. We need to make it crumble and the rest will follow. Target her with Long range disruptor torpedoes then have the Noble classes give her a full volley. Time it to perfection. Their fighters are mostly concentrating on the ground. I want our bombers ready to punish them for this. Hammerheads in typical escort and screening position, X-Wings forward screening. Put a large no-fly zone around that battlecruiser, sensors show it put down a fearsome missile defence. It’ll shred fighters just as easily I imagine.”

There were few occasions when Vilin was as calm as the initial engagement of a battle. The stakes were high today, he was a piece of a puzzle. The Commodore was more used to smaller skirmishes that he had greater control over. This was the part where analysis paid off, before the engagement broke down into smaller and smaller struggles and control over each element gradually slipped away from him.

The Noble-class vessels were fearsome ships that had reigned during the era of the Omega Protectorate, they had few rivals outside of the remains of the One Sith fleets. The Viperous fired a full round of long range disruptor torpedoes at the single target. They accelerated away into the distance.

“Load some high yield and gravimetric torpedoes next,” Vilin called. “Have our monitor-class stay cloaked on the flanks, have them ready to engage.”

As the disruptors closed on their target the Noble class vessels would fire immediately as they struck home. Their mighty hypervelocity cannons fired with extreme precision. Huge rounds cross the distance in almost no time at all, hoping to take advantage of any shield disruption cause by the volley of long range warheads. Energy torpedoes fired after, massless warheads that travelled at near the speed of light to try and finish the job.

Asmus gently eased forwards the throttle. His right hand felt some feedback from the acceleration. They were just skimming the upper atmosphere, at these velocities even a few errant particles providing some resistance. The sharp, knife-like wings of the TR-20 class cut a path towards the enemy. “Firing torpedo!” he called. Face on the missile might not have taken out a target, but at the least it would cause the enemy to react and make a hole. So much pain, slaughter and bloodshed. The fighting was brutal and savage when Firemane soldiers streamed into the trenches. Some were cut down by enemy fire, one was enveloped by the fire of a flametrooper. Their armour was very resistant to environmental hazards, but not wholly immune to fire, though fortunately everyone of them wore helmets. An Eldorai cryomancer rushed to his aid and sought to put out the wall of fire. At close quarters, Firemane soldiers wielding bolters switched from explosive bolts to APE rounds, meant to crack open personal armour. Others drew bolter pistols. Shattercannons roared to pin down the repeater nests and mow them down.

Elpsis felt the deaths when the cyborg sniper (Aizen) suddenly sprayed soldiers with crimson fire from his repeater. It added to the pain she was feeling. As an empath, she felt others' emotions keenly. This included the anguish in battle. Not just from Firemane and Outback troopers, but also the First Order ones. She breathed heavily as she bolted towards the trenches, drawing upon the Force to amplify her speed.

Each sensation was like a red-hot needle being driven into her skull. She cried out in pain, her vision blurred and beads of sweat dripped down her face and back. Breathe in, breathe out, focus. [member="Laina Silvias"] had taught the young firemane how to shield her mind and she did so, pulling it in her safe place in the shadowlands and erecting strong walls. It blotted out the pain. She was certain her cause was just and that her goddess, the Great White Wolf, would protect her. Doubt did not enter her mind. Her rage was heightened, but before she could engage the red-armoured stormtrooper Joza was yelling about, she drew counterfire from stormtroopers.

Without her beskar armour, she would have died. The impact of the first rounds knocked her backwards when they peppered her armour. Being blind, she was knocked down on her back and hit the ground with a loud thud when she stumbled from the impact. Her ribs ached and she felt a strong sting in her chest. There would be nasty bruises. Pain flooded her when a blaster bolt got lucky and struck a joint in her hip. She rolled, manifested a brief shield of the Force and grabbed her bolter. This was a Mark One, unlike the Mark Twos the common grunts used. It had a lower firing rate, but fired a more powerful explosive bolt. She squeezed the trigger, firing once, twice, barking out explosive bolts strong enough to damage light vehicle armour towards her assailants.

Tempest said:
Tempest herself was following her firemaned girlfriend into the action. Lightsabre blazing and following behind Aeron and Michael, she moved forward with lightsabre in hand. From her hand came bolts of lightning at any Stormtrooper unfortunate enough to get in her path. She fought to get forward and joined Elpsis. Two elemental masters were better than one after all!

Tempest had joined her and went to town with blasts of Force Lightning. "Took you long enough! Feth, I got hit," Elpsis exclaimed, but there was no time for happy reunions. But then there was a strong jolt in her skull and she winced in pain. "Jozie!" she yelled. "Cover me," she added to Tempest, sounding alarmed.

What had she seen? The massive AT-AT firing its ray of doom. Sometimes her precognition was useful. While a master pyromancer, Elpsis could obviously not absorb a turbolaser blast. Or block it with a protective barrier. So she went for the next best thing and summoned the Force to shove Joza out of the way of the beam. The Zeltron might experience an unpleasant landing, but it was better than being vaporised!

Meanwhile, the Firemane soldier with a shatterbolter had heard Joza's call for aid from earlier and took aim at Aizen. Having been charged up again, the weapon unleashed a powerful explosive bolt. There would be a thunderous roar, like the sound of a cannon, though it would probably only be heard by the soldiers after the bolt had reached them since it was a mass driver weapon, the love child of a boltgun and a shattergun.

The sith moved through the ranks of the Acolytes. As he reached each in turn he slowed to meet their eyes. He studied their gaze with a great intensity. What was he looking for? Trextan thought. He was answered a moment later.

Present, shadow of the Citadel of Dawn

It was the training of the Sith, not the limited time he had spent on Sullust that drove Trextan forwards. Mantras hammered home time and again to turn the Acolytes into willing extensions of the Dark Lord’s will. Jacen was out of sight, but when Kyrel stepped forth with his saber held high and drew the Force around him there was no hesitation.

Trextan accelerated forwards. A stormtrooper moved to block his path. One swing down took his weapon, one reverse slice took his life. The ground between him and the black-clad Ren opened up. His lips pulled back in a sneer, there was nothing but determination in Trextan’s eyes. His ragged hair flowed free and his face was already coated with grime.
Trextan called on the Force himself, with the Ren’s attention elsewhere he tried to pull him forwards. There was no intention of inflicting harm with the minor manifestation of his will, just a hope that he would compromise the man’s balance before he close in and opened the affair with a high lunge to try and force his enemy’s saber high and tight curve back to swing at the man’s right flank.

Roger that ground units, squadron leads green is breaking to assist units on the ground, breakimg off

She said as she broke and moved, she watcged as the blips.moved farther away, however...she looked to her radar again and saw....no...a squadron full? She gritted her teeth, she needed to buy time and buyou it quick

bolt 3 and 4 break off engage the enemy buy us time to get down to the troops below

She got green lights back as they broke off, their attack was a switch one, not meant to hit but to cause chaos, any hits were lucky ones, meanwhile Sara and bolt 2 was zooming as fast as they could down, she hopped to comms to speak to ground units and spoke

[ Copy that Rogue Leader. ] a confirmation of the selection of ordnance. A brilliant missile, much like the one used by Rogue Leader, was activated for engagement. Part of Red Squadron flew to intercept Bolt Flight, and right up ahead, was the bogey the Choli was waiting for.

[ Two, you are with me.] Choli replied, the TR-20x's banking to bring up the TIE interceptor's in her light of sight. They were fast, but the payload the TR-20 Xwings had would be able to handle that with the advanced Brilliant missiles. A form of homing missile that was capable of tracking its targets with such precision that it could be considered semi-sentient.

Her targeting computer bloomed, and Choli used the Force to help with the lock on.

"There you are." she murmured, just before she flicked the safety cap and said, [ Firing torpedo!]

[member="Sara Lee Jones"] would be the one hearing the incoming danger ping as the missile locked on and flew. Able to adjust course, this wouldn't be easy to shake.

As the torpedo flew to it's mark, Choli switched to her own lasers, strafing another Bolt Flight member high above the skies.

There was death, destruction and slaughter everywhere. The First Order's reinforcements had dropped in their rear in the north, but now Firemane's reinforcements had arrived and put them under heavy fire by dropping an absurd amount of ordinance on them.

Meanwhile, Sardun and Aeron were blowing holes into the armour of the First Order contingent assigned to the protection of the Citadel. However, in the wake of their landing, the First Order had deployed a new war machine: A gargantuan AT-AT. 100 m long, 56 m high. It was huge, imposing and bristled with firepower, as was seen when its turbolaser cannon suddenly belched a ray of doom.

However, its size was its greatest weakness, especially since this was very rocky terrain. Siobhan could not help the allied forces that were being bombarded by the walker, but she could help others by hitting the war machine before it caused more havoc.

She heard the roar of motors and eruption of missiles when Laira Vereen's cool fighter put the walker under fire. Becoming the eye in the storm, Siobhan drank from the fountain of power, letting the energies of the Force flow through her. All things considered, her repertoire was quite limited. She could not summon illusionary armies or bend people's minds to her will and her lightsabre duelling skills were appalling. However, those things she could do, she did very well. In that regard, she was like an ox or battering ram. Her specialisation lay in smashing huge things.

One hand's fingers held on to her cane and gripped it tightly, those of the other curled into a tight fist. Blood dripped down her nose, her head hurt, such was her immersion in the Force. "Nima, join with me. We gotta topple the walker," she had to yell to make herself heard over the cacophony of sound that was filled with explosions, gunfire and so on and so forth. They needed to take the beast out of commission fast. "I want our gunships to hit it."

Then a massive wave of pure Force energy rippled from her, shooting towards the Sabercat in order to slam into it with stygian might. It was a telekinetic tsunami. Her massive wave targeted the war machine's side, aiming upward in an attempt to shove and push it over. If it fell, it would be as immobile as a tortoise on its back.

Meanwhile, [member="Sed Frieder"] would be tapped on the shoulder by one of the Firemane troopers. "Hey, buddy. Take this. That's a real gun!" the tall, amazonian blonde declared and handed him a Magnetic Repeater with some spare ammo. Now he possessed a semiautomatic shatterrifle that could penetrate heavy personal armour and fire in bursts. This one also wanted to give him unlimited ammo, but the cheat console would not work.

However, if he survived long enough and gained 500 XP, the stalwart soldier would level up and be able to improve his stats. If this sounds awfully like an MMO, well, sometimes invasions/rebellions seem that way to this writer. [member="Kaiden"] Rohm would be alerted by one of the Firemane officers about the situation: FO reinforcements with a huge walker, Firemane reinforcements hitting them in the rear and plenty of fighting in the trenches between allied and hostile forces.

The sudden destruction of the artillery unit made her want to puke for a second, and she took strength from the gunship to keep her balance. One day, her excessive usage of mentalism was going to be a problem. However, it was not today. She collected herself shortly after the gunship landed in the battlefield, damaged but not broken. Taking a deep breath, she escaped the ship. At the right, there was destruction, at the left, there was destruction. Both in enemy lines and for the friends. She saw many familiar faces trying to get out of the wreckage. Unfortunately, there was nothing they could do for them. After all, this was a battle. And a battle that was needed to be won. She sighed, even though she wanted to help them, she had to continue following Sio with quick steps.

Once Sio got rid of one of the walkers' weaponry and made it useless, and their allies concentrated on taking the others as well, those events gained them enough time to proceed and get closer to taking back Kaeshana. It seemed like the war was on their side, with no Sith, or Force User to support the First Order, Tygara and Galactic Alliance in the scene had the advantage of space magics. However, nothing was, once again, as it seemed to be and easy. First Order wasn't completely out of the war yet and was making quite a resistance. A loud voice was heard and she turned to see what was happening. Oh...

A huge... very huge walker has appeared and started to wreak havoc with a very destructive firepower. She knew what to do. Well, there was only one thing to do, destroy the walker before it became a very formidable advantage for the First Order. She wasn't the only one that saw the walker of course, as her allies already started to unleash their own firepower on the walker. Losing concentration a little for a second, she regained it when Sio's voice was heard from all the turmoil and she was calling her for help. Nodding her head, she moved to her position. Collecting her breath and her energy through her hands, she created a powerful telekinetic wave, however not as powerful as Sio's yet still a formidable force, and sent the wave towards the other side of the giant walker with a shout of pain, aiming up to make it lose its balance. No matter how strong her connection with the Force was thanks to meditations and such, creating something with quite a destructive power was difficult.

With each second passed, she continued to put more and more energy into it, which hurt her more and caused nosebleed. The big strength difference between Sio's and hers would actually help them through this process.

Let Me Push That Button
Location: Space, Near Orbit
Objective: Engage Nils Brenner
Allies: Rogue Squadron

Laser fire strafed just above his cockpit, nearly hitting the tip of his left wing. A curse escaped his throat, and quickly he jerked the controls to the right. He banked hard, cutting just below the path of the laser fire as it soared above him.

His fingers tightened on the control, teeth clicking to switch to an open channel.

[No can do Captain] He had never had banter before with the enemy pilot. Usually that was considered bad form. He'd tried once during the battle of Manaan, when the One Sith had fielded a Destroyer in Orbit, but...well it hadn't gone so well with his Commander. His communications had been logged and later used at evidence at his court martial, awkward really since the enemy pilot had been female and the conversation had...well it wasn't important. [But I can offer you the same]

His eyes flicked towards the upper regions of the HUD a quick readout of the radar and positioning of where the ship was behind him.

For a moment Kurt's lip thinned, one hand coming off the controls as he prepared the wing thrusters.

[Return to your ship, cease all operations on this world and I can promise you'll make it out of this] Kurt didn't really have the authority to authorize any of that, but...well it was only fair. They had offered him his life, so he would do the same, though of course while he did that Kurt wasn't exactly sitting still. Instead he continued the pursuit, allowing the interceptor to bank just barely behind him, rolling as Laser fire thundered up above his head.

Then, he moved again.

The Coil had been built for two things, speed and maneuverability. Kurt and Kaile had worked for months to ensure that the fighter had superiority over...well pretty much anything in space. It suited the way Kurt flew perfectly.

His finger reached up and quickly flipped a switch, then he pulled back hard on the control. In an instant The Coil seemed to flip, a burst of power coming from thrusters located in the tips of the ships wings. In a near instant the Interceptor turned, pressing Kurt into his seat and throwing The Coil's three inertial dampeners into overdrive. As soon as he turned he squeezed the trigger, sending a quick burst of Maser fire towards the Interceptor coming towards him.
