No Light

D'vok appeared behind Kiber, DL-44 pointed at the back of his helmet.
"I'd like that map. I'd also like it if you din't shoot out my favorite watering hole on this planet. You look mandalorian. You walk the walk, A liser gar jorhaa'ir?"

Harli stepped up beside Olan and Reno, and watched the Mandalorian leave. "Sssoooo. I'm going to assume you have a copy of that right? Or it's a fake?"

There was something about that map. Vassara could almost feel a little echo in the force, like it was important. After all it was the force that had drawn her here, and pure luck that had drawn her to Olan. She didn't know his name, and he didn't know hers. However, she was doubtless they would cross paths again. For now all gut instinct lead her to that map. There was something on it.

As the last of them dissapeared through the hole she was hot on the Mandos heels, leaping through the air, coming down on the other end of the room in a lither crouch. As he stepped out she moved behind him, legs enhanced by the force, giving her energy at a higher level than normal. The saber deactivated and she held it in her hand as her arms pumped and the spiral scar on her shoulder burned.

It hadn't burned in a long time.....

The Witch that possessed half her soul was back. She felt everything with a renewed light. The air, the earth, the water. It all came into one as the Witch took control. Her own body moved as if its own volition, caught up in the sinister possession. Her black gloved hand outstretched and a guttural spell escaped her mouth. Her lips twisted around the words and she felt something similar to the force surge into the Mandos back, connecting them, marking him.

It was an old Nightsister spell, the Blood Trail. It allowed one to find anything or anyone wherever they went. It was a basic bond sanctified in powers outside the force itself...

With Renos aide through all of this-even for all the strong headed will of Olan-,Olan would not have made it to the bus on the last stretch. Or through the hole without his help. And Harli's. Those shots Harli put down into the fight did wonders slowing down their pursuers.

He was losing a lot less blood than before, inside. The bandage helped a lot, and for some reason his wound seemed to have clotted quickly, thankfully it wasn't a through and through.

And without Rass' help, they wouldn't have even escaped! Who knows, maybe it was luck, maybe it was fate that brought all these people together-and see them through.

Olan just gave Reno a bloody, knowing grin as he dropped into a seat.

The Toydarian looked at the battered two. And the two women once they arrive. "You always do the dumbest things Ollie. Thanks for getting him out of there!" Voice was a bit cracked and ragged, for his species. Looking quite old, as the blueish purple skin of the Toydarian was turned somewhat grey.

Kiber would see the map appears to lead to a small asteroid field between the planets Isis and Hoth.

@La'kuus Quelin

Olan heard his comm chime again, drearily he pulled the disk out and checked the message. He only tapped the number "5" in. Then tapped "2" after sending the original message.

Holy. Moly.

La'kuus quickly loaded up the back blasters, then whistled to her droid. "R, we have 52 fighters incoming! I want you to circle the ship and prepare for assault! Forward shields at 70% blasters at 10% and engines at a piping 20 energy." Her hands went flying over the controls, raising the shields to a dangerously high motion, and the engines almost lifting off the ground ready to explode into space.

The droid in her personal ship took off, flying above the ship in question, fearing for it's assault. With the amount of bonding the two have already done, it seemed like the poor thing didn't want to give up it's owners life just yet.

Good work, [member="Olan Teff"], you confused her.

Sitting down in the seat in front of Reno and Olan, Harli turned around and faced the two. "Well, whatever your plan is. We better do it quick, cause we're not the only ones in this game now." Leaning somewhat over the seat, she stuck out her right hand to Olan. "Harli Hayes."

She still fast on their heels, and now right beside them. The saber still deactivated in her hand, loosely at her side. They were both fighting over the map. In a rare form she simply held out her hand, willing the little disk to break free of the pouch, trying to float it towards her. She wanted the map now. She was hell bent on getting it, or following the Mando to wherever he brought it.

Kiber grabbed the disk from Vassara and broke into a run, sprinting to his trusty Galactic Ranger and shut the entry ramp. Turning on the main boosters, followed by the main engines, the vessel took off.

He pulled the disk out and engaged the star-map, it was pointing to an asteroid field just outside of Hoth. He had not been out that way in two or more years.

"Olan Teff. Pleasure to meet you Harli." Setting the blaster pistol of his back into its holster, he shakes her hand with the unbloodied one. He looks to be recovering quite quick, or he's just damn good at hiding pain. Probably the later.

"To answer your question. The map was real. But its not what we need to get in. Its the key we need to get in. The map just...gets us there..I've spent the last several weeks studying it just in case something like this would happen..and you are right...we aren't going to be the only ones of this dash."

Tosk didn't stay quiet at that. "You lost the map?! Echut-an Olan!" The Toydarian looked more flustered than before!

"Just get us to the Avalon!" Olan shouted, causing him to hack up some blood. "Tosk, I love you buddy, but this is not the time to start throwing names!"

With a growl the old Toydarian took off. Launching the bus into traffic MD towards the main spaceport.

Olan looked out over towards the building where Raas was. Something felt...strange. Like a connection. He could feel something. And that it was okay to leave her. For some reason. Still he couldn't help but stare at the bar-which was smoking still-begin to disappear out of sight.

"[member="Olan Teff"]! We're being surrounded! R can't keep dodging these hits like this, we have to leave before all 52 of these people arrive!" The sound of engines was loud in the comlink La sent to Olan. Apparently she had gotten in trouble for having her weapons loaded in the bay for too long, and now with an unpiloted spaceshuttle flying around ready to shoot something, the security was trying to escort the ship out.

All blame calls onto Olan. All of it.

Tosk would pat Olans shoulder just as the message went though to the man's commdisk. Tosk was pointing outside the bus towards...Olans ship which was moving unbelievably erratic. A soft groan escaped the Spacer as he saw the Securi trying to move the newly refurbished ship to a safe distance or at least get the pilot to calm down.

Taking his commlink out he looked at the message from La and huffed again. Opening up the channel to speak to her. "La, dear. There is no more pursuers. Tell the Securi that you were having a malfunction on your end with the ship and the controls and EF-CEE-ESS was going mad. You got it under control. Also, open the secondary loading bay, were going to fly right in with the bus. Thank you. Sorry for the trouble."

Tosk took this moment to guide the bus towards the Avalon in the air. "I am not getting on that ship with you. You can get off the bus and I am going home! Lost the map. Hrmph. Probably threw it at them." Tosk muttered towards the end.

La La was shocked. There weren't any more people..? She spoke to the guards outside and calmed the ship down. She also had to scream at her robot to get him back in the cargo bay. After it was settled down, she opened the secondary loading bay for Olan and his new crew, going to the pilot's chair shortly after.

Telling her 52, all that trouble... Grr grr humph.

Harli glanced out the window at the approaching ship. She was beginning to wonder exactly what on that map was worth chasing so much. Her eyes turned back to Olan. "What exactly is on that map? Everyone seems to want it so bad."

[member="Harli Hayes"] [member="Reno Jendir"]

Leaning back into a seat, Olan looked at Harli. Focusing his brown and blue eyes on her. Mulling over the question and figuring out the best and most proper way to explain it. "Well. Guess I gotta start off with who the original owner of that map was, its creator. Yu'glan Tulst. A strange Twi'lek antique collector. He was an unbelievably well off individual from birth. Family were fleet masters, and he got lucky early and did well in the family business. He began to indulge in his favorite hobby, collecting relics of all shapes and sizes, antiques if you will. To such a degree he spent more than his worth in the family. Ended getting himself cut off and he decided to become a 'dealer of ancient antiques.'-

-The bus was getting closer to the ship. Olan took a deep breath as he continued. "-He got rich off that. So rich he bought out his families business and shut them down. Sold all the assets, except one. A old wanderer class ship. Made it into a flying fortress and palace, to house all his most loved wares and act as a home for himself. He would do business out of the ship as well. Throw parties. All that. Prospective buyers would be sent a star map to his location and a biometric key, which when touched attuned itself to that client. At some point, the ship disappeared, stories of it being attacked by raiders, it flying into a astroid field and blowing up in the process, and a unknown aliem species hijacking the ship have been circulated. But in truth, no one knows. Its been...a long long time since that occurred and the ship and the story went into myth. Until someone found a functioning map, it lead the man to the ship-but he couldn't get in. He hired someone to break in, but the ship took care of them. Blew them to little bits.-"

-They were now landed on the Avalon, the busses doors opened and Olan this time helped Reno off the ship if he would let him. Even though both of them were hurt. -

"-So that man spent years looking for a key to get in. Or a way to bypass what defenses were left on the ship. He died looking for a way on. Fast forward to a couple months ago, a lost luxury cruiser was recovered by a ship yard with a set of three invitation boxes. Each with a key, and a map. Also the boxes were bought off by a unknown buyer, two were destroyed on the spot. The delivery man for that box was jumped recently by a certain man, and I managed to procure it off him. Well, Tosk was able to.-"

-Tosk gave them a cursory wave as he left with the bus and Olan shut the cargo bay door on that side.-

"-Its said the ship is packed full of...countless artefacts of untold worth. Some so much you could live forever off selling one item. And live very comfortably too."

Bounty Hunter Extraordinaire
Galactic Ranger sped through the galaxy, with the vessel's location marked on the star-map hologram. He was not that far away from Hoth, so he eased the throttles wide open and the corvette soon picked up more than enough speed.

The sight that greeted the bounty hunter on arrival was simply astounding; it was a ship, just floating around aimlessly in the vacuum of space.

"Oh my god..."

[member="Kiber Thaxton"]

Kiber would see a old Thranta class ship just sitting there, floating aimlessly in the huge cluster of asteroids, like a ship caught in ice. Also he could see remnants of other ships floating around. Broken, beaten and blown to pieces. On closer inspection of the ship he could see the name "Harlequins Jest" on the side, and that the ship was more armed to the teeth than its original military variant. It looked like it had not seen a single days ware, except on the paint.

With a scan he would read no life on the ship, but there seemed to be movement in places within. A lot of it in certain parts of the ship.

La La jerked her droid around and out of her ship to get it from acting crazy with all the controls. After finally ripping it free (and scratching it in the process,) she dragged it along to see if there was something in the ship she could use. Finding nothing, she shoved it into her room and turned it off. With the droid settled down, she opened it up from the head and looked in.

Oh, that didn't look right. She pulled a few wires out and read them. "Danger... No, we don't need danger." Ripping out those certain wires, then moving on, La La's R unit was well on it's way to becoming a trash can.
