Let's assume this film comes out in December. They have 12 months to reshoot and get the best movie they can.

I am sure all this is negative / knee-jerk reaction to them touching on a classic character when it's not REALLY needed and also the fact it changed director.

There's been nothing but rumour and hearsay about it and the production, but I have faith it will be good.

Look how surprised we were by 'Rogue One'! Fingers crossed 'Solo' gives us something similar.

I have no idea what to think of it at this stage, my expectations are pretty low because of the huge task the movie is trying to do in trying to tell the story of such an iconic character. It would of been better to do a Kenobi movie first, least then you can use the same actor. Seeing somebody other than Harrison Ford play Solo is going to be REALLY strange.

I still can't beleive there's about 4 months to go until worldwide release and we've had no teaser poster or trailer.

Well, they've also never released Star Wars movies so closely together, and TLJ could be some of the reason they're waiting to do a marketing push. (I'll remain optimistic till the end. )

Dunno. Why would a large corporation debut two products from two of its biggest franchises at the same time? Perhaps for the profits to be gained?

I dunno. Maybe so your movies are spaced out, so your audiences aren't having to choose between which movie they want to go see in a month? Why release two of the biggest franchises in the same month? It almost ensures one of the movies will fail at the box office.

I feel like Infinity War will do better than Solo in terms of box office for May. They're both really big and hyped up movies from Disney, yet I feel more people, myself included, are more excited for Infinity War.

Still no trailer, poster or promo material with just days to go until we hit February and a release in May.

I think the reason why they aren't releasing any trailers or promotional material for this movie is because Disney knows this movie is going to bomb and their plan is simply to cut their losses and move on. There have been major production problems and they had to fly in an acting coach for the lead actor who, it turns out, can't act.

By releasing this at the same time as the new Marvel movie, Disney is hoping everyone will forget about this as soon as possible. Disney owns Marvel anyway, so it's not like they care.

This movie is going to be bad. That's my prediction.

They were big on the promotional material for Rogue One which was another 'story'. I think [member="Agent Rinnan"] is right and that Disney has no confidence in this movie and so are not getting expectations up.

Sad, but I think even more than Rogue One (which I ended up loving) I think this movie is unnecessary and will be too broken to be any good.

I'm just hoping it's not TPM or AOTC bad.
