Surprise Droid Party [Metal Lords - Commenor Diplomacy Exchange]

Lord Mettallum

A really buffed Metal Lord
One of Lord Mettallum's guards who was one of the new droid models Holowan Laboratories created called a IG-800 Magnaguard spoke to Lord Mettallum with a voice sounding similar to that of the old IG-100 mangaguards.

"M'lord reports are coming in that a seemingly hostile ship has landed near our current location. Hostile ship took out multiple ships flown by authorities that were probably going to talk to us for landing on the planet without permission. Suggested course of action set up perimeter and have some droids deal with the other ship."

Lord Mettallum went on comms and spoke in a commanding voice.

"All droids that currently do not have a job in my ship please exit and setup a perimeter and stop anyone who tries to enter within 2 klicks of my ship. All droids that were assigned with supplies please take them out of the ship I Lord Mettallum believe we have found the perfect place to build."

Looking at his guard Lord Mettallum's went a little redder.

"I Lord Mettallum want you to meet who ever has followed us, you should be able to easily scare them away"

The lack of life within the great metal beast had been harrowing at first. Neither she or her animal companions could quite adjust to it to begin with, they could sense the change just as much as she, their senses were keener where she had the Force; truth be told she was used to the metal beasts lacking life, but there were typically other beings... Here? Just silver beings with their tough skin that hurt. It felt different this time, though the Silver Beast had done all that he could to make her and her friends comfortable.

She had spent the day lazying within her quarters; Groom was curled at the side of her bunk, one of the only such things onboard the ship for what use did the silver beasties have for such things, and Ariel was perched on a shelf watching them. It wasn't until her avian friend turned his shrewd gaze to the door that their senses truly picked up on the heavy thud of footsteps nearing. Ears perking, Groom lazily lifted his head and set it over Kida's chest, as though somehow that might protect her.

With a swoosh the door opened, to reveal another funny silver creature. It wasn't her friend, the true Silver Beast, but it was one she had seen a few times, and as a result both Groom and Ariel relaxed back into their sleepy state.

"Come along, Miss Kida" the funny thing chirped, as only the silver beasts might, "Hurry now, we do not have all day."

The gesture of a hasty hand was enough to goad her out of her bed. She shakily made her way to the droid who took her by the hand for support and led her through the belly of the beast. Neither Groom or Ariel followed this time, they had come to trust the silver beasties and besides... They weren't the greatest fans of traveling in the black void. And they knew when anything was amiss with their little Ward, at any rate. They had impeccable hearing, great senses, and a connection to the wildling that reached great distances.

Eventually they neared the bridge, and upon seeing her beloved friend Kida broke free from the silver beast and dropped to her hands and knees, hurrying over to where he was. To look at her it would seem as though she had not seen [member='HK-36'] in days, but truth be told it had barely even been a day.

Overhead, the sky began to take on a transformation as the hot, bright sun with it's clear, blue skies began to be engulfed in dark heavy clouds of black, A smell of impending rain was evident, marking the trek toward their destination with a potential set back. If rain came before they reached the jungle oasis, the sand would undoubtedly turn into a slow moving sludge of mud; prompting slow movement or outright stalls. The race was on.

"Double time," she said stepping through the sand, "Anyone caught in the rain will be left behind, and salvaged for parts on the return trip." With luck riding on their shoulders, they party reached the jungle just as the first bloated cloud dropped it's first tear. However, with danger of being caught in the rain turning sand to mud avoided, a new threat stood before them. A rag tag of hungry and will-brokened explorers rested against trees and sipping from the disease infested waters stood between them and their objective. Upon closer examination, the eyes of the explorers were blood-shot and some were salivating uncontrollably from their mouths; while others had sores on their faces that continuously to burst and dispense a green pus from the open, festering wounds.

"Look Mac! Droids. Our fortunes have changed," one of the inflicted said standing up, his face covered in sores.

WD-334 stood in the bridge of it's Tartan cruiser, the Obsidian as part of the fleet. The war droid was ready to escort HK down to the surface of the planet, as a personal guard. The Obsidian moved to dock with HK's ship, where it would disembark onto where it would be ready to board any shuttle HK and Kida decided to board, to get down to the surface of Denon. This would soon be their planet. WD looked upon the atmosphere of the world from their fleet's position. "WD-334 is prepared to begin escort procedure" the war droid sent the message across to HK's ship. Even though this was a diplomatic mission, there is never a zero percent chance of anything bad happening. There is always at least a one percent chance, and that chance WD always stuck to.

Darben Skirae nodded along when [member="Lady Kay"] explained where he must have known of [member="Ultimatum"]'s name. He had not met the droid personally, as he had only spoken with Macoda on that day. In a short moment after, [member="Darlyn Excron"] called in that he would be joining them later. He had met the man a few times already, once to train with a weapon. As they began to move, Darben gave a qiuck nod to [member="Rex Cruger"], Kay's body guard.

Darben followed Kay with Mute following just behind him, headed for the landing pad. He had a single datapad in hand, and Mute two others about commercial and trade information. "So, Ultimatum...he's a close friend to you?" He spoke up to Lady Kay in asking that, to break the silence.

The skeleton crew that had manned the gunship began to fan out across the area, approaching through whatever terrain was ahead. It would not take long for the two droid parties to meet, and even then IG-801 had not calculated his next move. The MagnaGuard moved much faster than the rest of his forces, sprinting between trees and tearing through shrubbery with ease. The electrostaff in his hand had yet to be activated, held firmly by a magnetized grip that kept it from being torn away.

Coming to a slow creep, the droid peered out from behind the trunk of a thick tree, to his surprise spotting another model that looked exactly like him. It was not the one he currently sought, but most definitely a clue to their whereabouts. Stepping out from the thin treeline, IG-801 made its way towards the imposter before lifting its staff vertically, and slamming one end of it into the ground. A challenge of sorts, mostly just to get its attention.

Politics at the point of a lance. Macharius had no choice but to meet with its wielder. As much as he'd love to wield steel against him. Macharius needed to act as the statesman he is. Not the soldier he once was. For the sake of his people. Composing himself he responded to the.. something of the Sparklords. Whoever they were. "That didn't really answer the question. But you are not offering me an alternative to the matter. So I agree to meet you. Bring your delegation on a small transport. I will have a flight path given to you and an escort bring you down to the surface. Don't deviate from it. I'll expect real answers face to face once we meet. Macharius over and out."

Mach signed off but the transmission stayed up. The flight plan was passed along to HK-36 a few short minutes after. It would take them right to the front grounds of the Parliament building. Well the far end of them at the landing pads, didn't want them ruining the grass now. The old man got up and left the bunker to prepare himself and update folks he needed to, he had little time left.

"You have made the right choice, Macharius Solaire, Prime Minister of Denon, your people will thank you for choosing the peaceful route."

HK reasured Macharius although that may have just been even more unnerving, signing off with,

"Alright, see ya in a sec. Bye."

The droid was always pretty bad at ending conversation, at least he didn't told the Prime Minister he loved him, this time.

[member="Kida"],

It was then when HK's Greycloak Honor guards finished adjusting his suit of armor and prepared themselves for meeting with the native government that Kida was lead in, letting go of the droid companion who guided her in to meet with the ancient droid before breaking herself free to run towards him,

"Kida!"

HK called back to her and reached down to let her jump into his arms and lift the young changeling up, wrapping her in his black cloak so that his harder sharp body would not hurt her,

"Look Kida, another home."

He said to her as he turned with her on the arm, letting her see the view of Denon from space. It was probably much stranger view than Abregado, there were no continents or ocean on Denon, there were hardly any trees and grass, instead there were buildings, streets, catwalks and the immense glow from so much infrastructure and population residing on the ecumenopolis. One planet, one giant city.

"We will be speaking to its leader soon. He is scared, I want you to show him that we are not monsters. We are not without feelings."

At least if he failed HK could always put torch to the planet, he wasn't going to do that though. But it was still on the menu.

Either way, it was then that HK received a transmission from [member="WD-334"], the old droid nodded to himself, radioing back to the war droid,

"Alright, meet me by the Knight of the Eclipse in my hangar."

He bounced Kida up and down in his arms then slightly,

"Let us go, there is another droid you should meet before we go down to the planet."

HK explained as he turned around to start moving them towards the docks.

WD-334 gave confirmation to [member="HK-36"] and prepared to move to the hangar, followed by two of the Echani guards, WD asked for two others to meet them at the the hangar. The war droid had yet to meet @Kida. The droid hoped to meet up with HK along the way, where it would be able to discuss the plan of how things were going to go down once they get to the surface to meet with [member="Macharius Solaire"].

"Remain close to us" WD spoke to the two Echani guards with the large war droid. Danger could be anywhere. Ahead, WD spotted HK with a human, that was something the war droid had not even heard of. "HK-36. This unit has escort ready" it said, gesturing to the two Echani guards behind it as they continued to move, the war droid trying to keep pace with HK and Kida. "What is this?" it asked, gesturing to the human. Was it a hitchhiker? WD made no further comment about the human to HK, not until HK spoke.

The Magnaguard saw [member="IG-801"] at first thinking he was just another Magnaguard sent out by Lord Mettallum but as soon as IG-801 challenged the magnaguard it knew IG-801 was not apart of Lord Mettallum's forces. It quickly activated its comma

"M'lord I have found a rouge IG 800 series magnaguard not under you command shall I Engage."

Lord Mettallum was confused, why would there be a IG-800 magnaguard who is not under his command here. It made little sense due to the fact the IG-800s are expensive to make and a very new droid in the marketplace. Lord Mettallum did a robotic sigh and went to the location of his Magnaguard. Atleast this gave Lord Mettallum a excuse to tryout his second body. Lord Mettallum imformed his magnaguard not to enage and await Lord Mettallum's arrival. The advantage of Lord Mettallum's new body was it was much faster than his primary body. Once Lord Mettallum got to his Magnaguard he saw IG-801. Something was off about IG-801 but Lord Mettallum couldn't figure out what. Lord Mettallum yelled

"My Fellow Droid I Lord Mettallum am the Metal Lord, Lord Mettallum, What brings you to me and why do you challenge my guard and infact who is your master that thinks he can send you against me" Lord Mettallum's went a deep red and he looked at his guard "Give me your electrostaff my weapon Duplex Hastam Is a vibro weapon meaning if he fights me my weapon is useless"

As his Magnaguard gave his electrostaff to him Lord Mettallum hoped this other magnaguard would peacefully back down and tell Lord Mettallum who owns him. Of course a little bit of Lord Mettallum wanted to fight this Magnaguard to test how this new body is.

801's audio receptors received all that was said by the Metal Lord before him. The droid had been waiting for this moment, and now the pretender was before him at last. The tall droid across the field had not been immediately recognizable, as the model 801 had discovered in the warehouse had been a lot shorter. This one had the body of a MagnaGuard, but the head of what looked like a BX commando droid. 801 may have been intimidated, if he were a pathetic sentient like the ones he had slaughtered in the Holowan facility.

"I have no master. My programming has evolved beyond such requirements. I have come for you, pretender."

As the other MagnaGuard's weapon was handed over, 801 lifted his staff from the ground, spinning it through the air before firmly gripping it within both of his metallic hands. It activated at that moment, purple sparks of electricity dancing upon each end. 801 began to approach slowly, keeping his photoreceptors trained on Mettallum as he got closer. The droid looked unique to say the least, and it was possible that it had been equipped with features that 801 himself did not possess. It was time to find out who this pretender was, and what they were capable of.

Kay nodded to [member="Darben Skirae"] as the headed out of the Palace towards the landing pad." [member="Ultimatum"] is a close friend, yes. He came the night of my return from my abduction to offer his support of me while other businesses left. From what I had gathered from past messages, we used to go on adventires and explorations together. He's good to have around. And if he supports this new government, then so shall I. I trust his judgement."

The Free Lady was waiting for them, her ramp lowered while the engines warmed up. [member="Rex Cruger"] followed in behind. Kay figured that [member="Macoda Haberon"] was already on board, while [member="Darlyn Excron"] was soon going to be on his way. "This should be a quick trip. And I'm curious as to what they would need from us trade-wise. Aren't you?"

In unison, the entire lot turned their eyes toward us; some grasping for their weapons that laid scattered about the jungle floor. Removing her own weapon, Merciful Fate, she ignited it hoping the blade would discourage the deranged men. Unfortunately, it did not. They continued lumbering toward us and as the first man found his weapon, The order was giving to her droids to open fire. One by one the sickly men were cut down, all but one.

Standing over one of the men, the Cyborg Queen listened to his moans and howls as the holes punched into his flesh sizzled and smoked. Looking down to his chest, seeing it rise less and less, until it exhaled for the final time, she smiled. "Organics," she muttered stepping through the bodies toward the lone survivor who coward up to the base of a tree.

"Mercy, please!" She watched the man beg, as his sores on his lips burst splashing pus across his face. Without noticing the event, the man added, "It wasn't our fault! We didn't know by opening the tombs that we would unleash..." Cutting his own words short, he leaned over expelling the contents of his stomach. "Tombs? What tombs," she asked ignoring the man's jerky body.

Turning blood filled eyes to her, he began to chuckle madly saying, "The Builders! Those that came before us! Those that created all this!" Completely baffled, the Cyborg Queen shook her head prompting the infected man to continue. "The curse! The Builders created a curse to infect those that disturbed their tombs, and maybe the galaxy if they managed to get offworld." Stealing a glance at his dead comrades, he added, "Of course you dealt with that I imagine."

The mention of these tombs were interesting, but the Queen herself cared little for the resting place of these Builders. Her objective was finding and capturing the factories. Plus, if these tombs were hosting a nasty virus then they needed to be destroyed. "Where are these tombs," she asked. The afflicted gave her directions and to prevent an outbreak running rampant through the galaxy, she personally killed the man.

Some time latter...

Macharius was outside Parliament awaiting the arrival of HK-36. His guards has carried out a table and two chairs. They were set down atop the large stairs leading to the front doors on his order. Standing around for too long bothered his knee, and old injury he'd gotten back a few years ago. He was certainly willing to wait though. The longer his foe took, the more prepared his world would be. And thus the better his bargaining position would be too.

The Queen deviated slightly from her objective to seek out these tombs. If the afflicted man spoke the truth, then these tombs might represent a threat that needed to be dealt with sooner than later. Trouncing through the foliage she marched with a passion she never felt before. She despised organics, that was never a secret she kept from the galaxy, but she wise enough to understand the concept of balance. Just as this simple jungle oasis led to the ecosystem of the planet, and in retrospect played a major part in the function of the planet and those that lived here; be it alien, human, beast, plant, or insect so did the galaxy itself host a massive, wide ecosystem that if one dug deep enough would comprehend the nature of balance. As much as she hated to admit it, the galaxy needed organics to sustain it's life.

After an hour, the assembled droids and their Master discovered an ancient, downtrodden building covered in various colors of dying moss and vines. The absent of sounds from the beasts that hunted the jungle gave the scene an eerie undertone. The door that locked the dead Builders away had been blown open, with scattered stones strewn across the jungle floor. This appeared to be the only entrance into the ancient building.

Despite being more droid than organic, she did still possess organic parts, though most where covered by her armored body; for the exception of her face. And if this virus was still running rampant in the tombs looking for new hosts, she didn't feel the need to expose herself. "You three," she said pointing to the closest droids, "will enter the building and locate these tombs. You have one simple order, burn and destroy everything." In the past she would loved nothing more to unearth knowledge from such an ancient structure, but risking her passion over the safety of the galaxy did not compute.

The droids entered the structure, the darkness swallowing them whole. After a few moments, the sounds of destruction echoed out through the single opening; followed by her droids. Using the rocket system on her armored body, she fired two rockets above the entrance, sealing it for eternity.

Darlyn sighed as measurements and what not were finally finished. Unfortunately he didn't have the armor to fit, but with his measurements taken it would be a simple matter when the time came, he hoped. Still, it let him manage to take care of something well in advance. He put back on his formal set of black robes, comboed this time with his old simple chest plate just in case, and clipped his favorite weapons to his belt as he made his way to the landing platform. He flipped up the hood, and chuckled at how he must look as he walked into view of [member="Lady Kay"] and company. He made a small wave as he stepped on, finding himself a place to stand.

"Sorry it took so long. Measurements can take quite a while when you've got to be as precise as possible."

Darben remained quiet as [member="Lady Kay"] gave a response about how she knew @Ultimatum. He thought he had heard that name before, and he was right. A good friend of hers, well he could trust them to at least not shoot him in the back or anything. [member="Darlyn Excron"] arrived wearing a set of black robes, that mildly surprised the Minister of Trade. He did not recognize him until the hood was lifted off his head. He gave a nod of greeting to Darlyn, then waited for Kay to begin boarding the ship, then he would follow.

Kay smirked as [member="Darlyn Excron"] came in, looking very much like a Sith Lord. But she knew better. At least in her company and on Commenor, he behaved himself. "Better late than never, Darlyn. But at least we don't have far to travel."

She nodded to both him and [member="Darben Skirae"] as she went deeper inside the Free Lady and took her seat. The ramp raised itself when they were all on board. After some pre-flight checks, all systems were ready and they took off.

And it was a short journey. They hardly had time to settle in with a drink before The Free Lady exited hyperspace in the Antar system, using the co-ordinates that [member="Ultimatum"] provided. Her pilot signalled the station, giving their identity codes and awaiting verification. Everything went smoothly and the Free Lady soon found herself docking with the station.

Kay looked to her two Ministers as she got to her feet. "Well, let's go see what the Metal Lords want, shall we?"

Upon the entry of the Free Lady, construction work ceased temporarily. The station was partially completed, however the key parts were done and ready. Ultimatum had set up a table and several seats, not knowing how many people Kay had decided to bring. A holoprojector had been installed into a wall and the reactor had been started up. The life support was online and blasting out air to fill out what empty voids still remained. Lights illuminated the entirety of the station's innards, so that visibility was no issue. The droid had been concerned with the door mechanism, wondering for a time whether or not it would activate as intended thanks to a ding it had received during installation. The worry appeared to have been for naught, as the door functioned without a hitch, now he merely needed to wait for the Free Lady and her occupants to dock with the station and step aboard. The droid would be waiting at the entry hatch, with only a hint of a smile on his face. However, seeing his friend again brought visible happiness to the artificial.

Once the Free Lady docked, the ramp was lowered. Given that the construction had ceased, the hissing of the hydrolics was amplified. Kay headed down the ramp with [member="Darlyn Excron"] and [member="Darben Skirae"] in tow. The other two remained behind on the ship. Given that Darlyn was once her Head of Security, she was confident in his abilities. But this was a visit to see [member="Ultimatum"] and as much as she could remember, he had never caused her harm.

Speaking of, there he was, standing at the entry hatch to greet them. Kay smiled as she approached, holding out her hand for him to take. "Lovely to see you, my friend. I had been wondering what you've been up to as of late. It seems that all is going well. This station seems to be coming together rather nicely." Formalities and pleasantries were the order of the day for these types of meetings. But in Kay's case, it was genuine.
