Surprise Droid Party [Metal Lords - Commenor Diplomacy Exchange]

Darben felt the ship dock, and the ramp lowered. Darben watched past [member="Lady Kay"] from aboard the Free Lady with [member="Darlyn Excron"] nearby. In front of Lady Kay, there was someone she greeted, no doubt the droid they were meant to be meeting with on this day. [member="Ultimatum"], there he stood. And now, Darben recognized who it was, he had seen him once before. He remained up the ramp, waiting for Kay to give him the go ahead to head down the ramp, datapads in hand. "You met Ultimatum before?" Darben asked to Darlyn.

The artificial shook [member="Lady Kay"]'s hand. "I am glad to see you as well. Indeed the construction is doing well, I shall refrain from it continuing so that we are not disturbed during the talks." Ultimatum looked past her and noticed some behind her in the loading ramp. He did not speak to them yet, knowing that they were likely a security team or friends of Kay. "You brought friends, I hope that we will be able to conduct the negotiations."

The artificial looked behind him down the hall and motioned in that direction, "The room has been prepared and there is some food if you or your friends are hungry." He was uncertain if they had already eaten and if the talks ended up extending beyond his projected time tables food might be important. Beyond that there were also other restrooms for that particular need. He did not expect it to take long, there was not too much to be concerned about and he hoped that the two factions would be able to coexist with reasonable functionality.

Darlyn didn't wait for a go ahead by [member="Lady Kay"], more or less her exit was permission. Not that he really needed it, the former head of security was opting to take old duties again for the sake of nostalgia and practicality. He did glance over at [member="Darben Skirae"] first, smiling a bit at his question. "A few times now, getting a good look at him. Never for long though, he was there when I got the job of Head of Security though. Good enough man from what I can tell." He chuckled to himself and moved on down the ramp after speaking to Darben.

The black robed man made his way down the exit ramp, approaching [member="Ultimatum"] and Kay. When he got to them, he bowed his head, and extended his hand. "It's good to finally have a name to put to the face, Mr. Ultimatum. I recall seeing you quite a long time ago, it's good to see you well. Darlyn Excron, Minister of Justice.. I do hope these talks of ours go well. You seem to be quite the friend to her majesty, and I'm not one eager to see a friendship put in jeopardy." Of course, the AI might not pick up on the level of genuine emotion put into the words, but it was there. While personally he held little stake in being pleasant or formal, he didn't wish to cause Kay any distress. She was quite the motherly figure half the time as it was... and no one liked disappointing mother. Even if she was mother by way of a paycheck.

Lord Mettallum

A really buffed Metal Lord

IG-801 said:
"I have no master. My programming has evolved beyond such requirements. I have come for you, pretender."
What did this droid mean when he called Lord Mettallum a pretender. Lord Mettallum was unsure but knew something and that was that this droid is unlike the other IG-800 Magnaguards and one thing was certain, that is that this droid is dangerous and this meant Lord Mettallum had to think more tactically and not just hope his pure strength would help him beat this droid. First problem was all the foliage that was around him and [member="IG-801"], due to Lord Mettallum's bigger size this would cause a lot of problems when moving around so Lord Mettallum did what any droid would do, use his inbuilt flamethrower and attempt to burn all the plant life around him and IG-801. As much as Lord Mettallum enjoyed using his Secondary body's inbuilt flamethrower he knew that, that would not win him the fight so he activated his inbuilt magnet in his left arm in an attempt to disarm IG-801. Lord Mettallum stared right into IG-801's optical sensors and yelled.

"I LORD METTALLUM AM ONE OF THE GREAT METAL LORDS OF THE VOID AND A WARRIOR OF THE MAKER AND YOU DARE CALL ME A PRETENDOR, YOU SHALL PAY FOR YOUR FOOLISH ACTIONS AND BOW DOWN BEFORE ME!!"

Lord Mettallum hoped the magnet would work properly since it is somewhat different to the one he uses in his primary body.

Kay smiled to [member="Ultimatum"] as he greeted her, but then raised a brow as he was surprised that she had brought others with her. His message didn't say that she had to go alone, and usually she preferred to have one of her Ministers with her. [member="Darben Skirae"] was one that was available and given that there could be some trade involved, he was a good choice.

"We will still be conducting the negotiations. I brought along my Minister of Trade and Finance, Darben Skirae, as well as--" She was cut off as [member="Darlyn Excron"] strolled right up to them and introduced himself. Instead of getting mad at him though, she let him have his say. Some people were just pushy like that at times. As long as he wasn't causing any trouble, there was no harm done with his boldness.

Ultimatum expected nothing less than the continuation of the negotiations, however he had been concerned that perhaps one or more of her friends might be more wary with the artificial. After all, it was natural to assume that an upstart government might be less stable than preferred. More so, it might attract the attention of larger powers to this area of the galaxy and perhaps bring about more danger to the Commenori.

Of course Ultimatum did not believe that such was the case, but organics had their own thoughts and beliefs. When [member="Darlyn Excron"] moved in and introduced himself the droid bowed his head in return, shaking the hand extended. This one seemed unintimidated by the artificial, a good sign to Ultimatum. "Please, just Ultimatum. It is pleasant to
meet you Minister Darlyn, I must speak to you at some point about some judicial matters that need completing." The droid left it at that for the man, there was an unfinished business that required him. Kay might not remember, but the droid did. Perhaps she had chosen forgiveness, but that would require a definitive answer in front of proper authority. It was his guilt to be purged, not hers.

"Then the government of the Commenor is doing well? No problems with the people?" His question was directed to [member="Lady Kay"].

Flames burst into life from [member="Lord Mettallum"]'s wrist, spraying across the opening in order to make sure it was an open space. Now that 801 examined his opponent for thoroughly, he had probably done so because of the incredible height Mettallum stood at.

Now surrounded by fire, the fight was about to begin, with the Metal Lord lifting an arm a few meters away, activating the high-powered magnets within his palm. IG-801 too had magnetized limbs, though the extent of their power was not as great as Mettallum's. Locking a mechanical grip around the electrostaff, the MagnaGuard held on as he skidded across the dirt, slowly pulled along with his weapon by the force of Mettallum's ability. Instead of struggling, IG-801 decided to move forward, breaking into a sprint that carried the smaller, agile droid body across the clearing within moments.

The electrostaff spun wildly through the air as 801 leaped, attempting to ferociously slam the weapon into Lord Mettallum's side. Unknown to the MagnaGuard, was that his opponent was defended by durable phrik plating.

Darben gave a slight nod of his head in greeting toward the droid [member="Ultimatum"], hands clasped behind his back with datapads held within his hands. The minister of trade held his head higher than usual, trying to give a good impression. Usually, he held himself rather casually, slack at times. And not usually professionally, unlike this time where he aimed to look as professional as possible. Despite how much of a mess his hair was, looking as scruffy as ever.

He glanced at [member="Lady Kay"] after the question was given by Ultimatum. He had not heard of any recent troubles. Although, he was not very interested in crime, not unless it had something to do with him, or was catastrophic enough to cause trouble for the entirety of the government itself. Although, he guessed that [member="Darlyn Excron"] would know something about any.

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="Macharius Solaire"], [member="Kida"], [member="WD-334"],

((Sorry for the wait, everyone!))

"WD, looking good."
HK greeted the other droid, his lieutenant with a cordial nod of his head, looking over the other two robotic guards he brought along with him, inspecting the escort prepared for them,

"Alright, have them leave their weapons behind, switch only to the arsenal they have built-in, hidden within their bodies, we want to look as if we came mostly unarmed. No need to push the organics too much, you know how trigger happy they can get."

The older droid explained, at WD's question towards Kida, HK mentioned to the girl he was guiding along by holding her hamd,

"This is Kida, she is an orphan we have adopted. She is not as human as she appears, in fact she is both ageless and immortal, like us. I found her once in the forests of Endor, orphaned, and brought her with me to the Protectorate. The Jedi took her as guardians then but they too abandoned her and I found her once more amidst frozen wastelands of Midvinter."

HK looked to WD then,

"Now we are the closest thing she has to family left. She may be organic, but she is under our protection, Ultimatum already knows about her, but do not tell the Sparklords yet."

The Sparklords were the NPC council of ancient droids and the closest thing Metal Lords had to a central government, although they were judicial if anything else, and often at odds with HK.

"They would probably freak out if they heard I am trying to raise a child again."

That "again" part was probably worth looking into, but HK did not linger on it too much, hurrying WD, Kida, and their guards along into their shuttle.

"Come on, we kept the Prime Minister of Denon waiting long enough."

And so they would climb on in into the Knight of the Eclipse, their black, sleek stealth transport, which would quickly lift off and sail away from their current flagships, piercing the black void of space between the Metal Lord fleet and the planet. As the shuttle flew away it was joined by two winged shapes, large, forged out of tough Duranium armor plates sitting on a skeleton of thick metal bones. They were the Metal Dragons, elite heavy starfighter droids of Metal Lords, picked by HK as part of their representation and escort down to the besieged world.

It would not be too long after that for Macharius and other representatives to spot three shapes lowering down from the sky towards the parliament building. All three covered in black armored plates, one was a ship, the other two strange winged shapes of the Metal Lord starfighter droids. They would swoop down smoothly, almost gliding to the surface as they slowed down and landed before them. Neither were powering up weapons or even shields, the shuttle hissed as it begun to cool off and its docking bay opened, a ramp extending down to the ground. The Droid Dragons held their position on either side of the shuttle, glancing about to scan over the building and the representatives, their large shapes had two rotary cannons sitting on their shoulders, used for dogfighting the turrets were dormant right now, a stinger-like emerald crystal was embedded into their serpentine tails, waving back and forth idly sometimes. Their mechanical stabilization wings folded in and pressed to their bodies with a soft whirr, locking down their s-foils into a more manageable position.

From the shuttle the Metal Lord envoy would finally emerge, the Echani Droid guards brought by WD would come first, named so for the shields build into their bodies modeled after Echani designs, then HK would appear, holding onto Kida's hand as the girl was brought out next to him. He was mostly covered in the organic black armor of Vong origin, its armored plates seemed more like chitin or bone than metal. Macharius could tell he was the being he spoke to. The membranous chitin helmet would pull back, plates shifting and folding as the flesh peeled off and hid away, revealing the pale Phrik faceplate of the droid beneath. Behind him WD would have space to come out, and finally at the very rear the two Greycloak guards, covered in similar fleshy armor as HK was, however while the older droid was wrapped in a black heavy cloak, they wore grey ones.

"Macharius Solaire, Prime Minister Of Denon."

HK addressed the man as he stepped down towards them,

"I am the Iron Lord Protector Above Abregado, HK-36, this is my adopted daughter, Kida, my lieutenant WD-334,"

As veteran of the One Sith Wars, there was a chance Macharius would have heard about the droid before, one of the more prominent commands of Protectorate back in the day, at one point he even managed to ascend to the position of the Lord Protector within the faction, their head of government. The droid lead portion of the reinforcements which came to Republic's aid during the siege of Coruscant, then the following attempts to take the planet back, and numerous other battles during the war. The droid finally introduced himself and his two companions, motioning to each of them before gesturing to the two Metal Dragons, each on the side of their shuttle,

"And Lord Admiral VD-38338 and The Ship Lord Of Tattered Hulls."

Each of the Dragon Droids would nod to Macharius in response at their introduction, HK himself would look to him with his glowing red photoreceptors,

"We thank you for welcoming us to your planet without immediately opening fire."

Kay-Larr

Kay watched the exchange between [member="Darlyn Excron"] and [member="Ultimatum"] . Like [member="Darben Skirae"] , she too was silent. However she was thinking more on what judicial matter that Ultimatum could want to talk to her Minister of Justice about. She wasn't entirely sure, but she thought that she had an idea of what it was about; a dark part of her recent history that she hoped wouldn't come to light.

It wasn't until Ultimatum changed the topic that she spoke up a bit, almost stumbling over her words. "We are doing well, thank you. I shuffled my cabinet a bit after my wedding and recently started up a Senate to better serve the worlds under our care. As it has only just beginning, the workload can be overwhelming at times. But...at least it keeps me out of trouble." That it did. However other governments had been reaching out as of late, taking advantage of Commenor's neutrality and it's position for trade routes in the Galaxy. It was only going to be a matter of time before someone had issues with what she was trying to accomplish.

"I am glad you have been able to handle the transition. If you ever need a break just let me know, maybe we could find something to do. There's a galaxy of opportunities out there." He smiled as he commented. The droid could understand the difficulties, after all he had dealt with many of the same issues and some others as ruler of Mustafar. The Sith had taken it from him and he knew that it would be many a year before he could even contemplate taking the world again. In fact he doubted that it would ever be possible.

Nonetheless he was glad to see that his friend had managed to have better luck with her world and he hoped that she would continue to fare better than him. Perhaps this would be a step in the right direction. He had to believe that, because if he did not then the only other option was that it could be a detriment and that was unacceptable.

The droid spoke again, this time taking a more professional cadence, "If you would like to begin we may head to the conference room that has been prepared. Just follow me." He turned and began to lead the way to the aforementioned room.

Macharius Solaire

Macharius was stern and stoic in the face of the invaders. As they bore down upon the meeting table he was without fear. His black armor clad soldiers at the ready behind him. And his ever present shadow, The Captain too. As the expected introduction rolled out the metaphorical jaw dropped on Mach. It was HK-36. He wasn't an enemy. Quite the opposite. If the days they both spend in the Protectorate were still worth them being so. The latter introductions were lost to his attention. Macharius had folded his hands together, elbows on the table and slowly smacking his head into them. This went on a good ten seconds after the droid stopped.

"HK you're so... lacking of common sense it is beyond imagination. Dare even fathom the matter. Why?" Macharius pulled himself to an upright position to look the droid right in the photoreceptors. "Why would you think it an idea to just sail in a fleet to Denon and... did you think it was going to be like a big welcoming party or something? Do you know how many people are scared right now who think we're about to be invaded by an unknown enemy. The kark didn't you just say it was you?!"

[member="HK-36"]

WD-334 gave a confirmative bleep to [member="HK-36"] before ordering it's guard to stand down. The war droid would have to try and hold back any murderous intentions. If HK did not need the droid to kill, it would not then. But, taking off it's own weapon, it did not know how to do that just yet, so it remained fixed in.

The war droid glanced down to [member="Kida"], as her name was. As HK spoke of her, the droid examined her face, making sure to mark her as friendly from now on and so that the droid could recognize her. Not having to tell the Sparklords, WD could do that. The droid was loyal to HK, HK had saved the war droid, freed it from it's shackles. It would not speak of Kida to them. They boarded the ship down to the surface, where WD got it's first look at [member="Macharius Solaire"]. Apparently, HK and this organic knew each other. It looked to back to their personal guard at their rear, then began looking around.

Darben Skirae glanced out of the corner of his eye down to Mute. She seemed to be rather...nervous. He then realized she had not seen many droids, and put a reassuring hand on her shoulder, sharing a smile that told her that she was safe. She at least smiled back. He heard [member="Ultimatum"] begin to step away and he looked up to see the droid moving away.

He followed [member="Lady Kay"] and [member="Darlyn Excron"], keeping a hand on Mute's shoulder. "We'll be fine...just relax, okay?" he said down to her, then returned to looking forward. He needed Mute there as much as she needed him, mostly to keep himself at ease during such meetings. He was often nervous in such things.

The droid paused, although Macharius seemed to very much recognize him, HK was not certain who the man exactly was, which was the first for the machine since usually he would be the one claiming to know somebody and them trying to forget about every meeting the droid, although to be fair when the droid usually brought up these past relationships it was to call upon a favor. The droid's lack of recognition towards Macharius probably stemmed from the man's career in politics, especially Republic politics, HK usually tried to stay away from them, or was simply too occupied with military operations to really pay attention to them, and when the two did actually find themselves working closer together, well the One Sith Wars were rather tumultuous and violent times.

"Well you know me,"

HK finally spoke up, taking a step closer,

"Crazy old HK, coming in out of nowhere to throw you a surprise droid party."

The machine looked left and right before leaning in closer to Macharius,

"Alright, I will not hide from you, our budget- it is a mess, we have put way too much money into our entertainment budget and if I did not had it spent by the end of this quarter every droid accountant in the Core would be up my ass. So I decided to hire droid screenwriters to supposedly plan out our first territorial claim and future interactions with organic governments, but I was not planning on actually using them and just doing my own thing when push came to shove, that was until someone-"

HK would look aside at one of the Mechanical Dragons, the beast who was now focus of the droid's brief attention growled out slightly,

"Told on me, and turns out the droid screenwriting guild is highly militant. Most of them are rather advanced models of war droids for some reason. Anyway, that was why I had to act all mysterious and up the dramatics for this one."

The droid leaned back, straightening up his slender body and adjusting his black cloak,

"But look at the bright side of this, now our relationship has nowhere to go but up."

HK pointed towards the sky,

"Most of those ships in your orbit are construction vessels by the way, I am here along with my brethren to offer a deal with Denon. A deal of cooperation and industrial expansion of your people."

Macharius Solaire

For as whimsical as HK could be, Macharius wasn't going to let the wool be pulled over him. He wanted to help Denonian industry and the economy when they were already the jewel of the Galaxy since Coruscant was wrecked in the war. Reality was he probably wanted access to that industrial and economic might for his own uses. Mach was always up to play ball for business but this was politics and he'd hammer upon the droid for answers.

"So that's your game huh. Be straight with me now HK. You want more than just to help Denon. Few offer help without expecting something in return. What is your goal with my world. And why would we ever help you? It's not like the Omegan days."

At first Lord Mettallum thought that his new magnet was super powerful to make [member="IG-801"] pretty much fly towards him but once he realised what that magnaguard was doing it was to late. The force if the electrostaff slamming into Lord Mettallum who was unprepared for such a move by Ig-801 caused him to fall the ground. If this was not a fancy droid body made of phirk Lord Mettallum would have probably been finished. Lord Mettallum got up and looked to the direction where IG-801 landed. Lord Mettallum decided that instead of grabbing his pistol and shooting the other droid he shall fight the droid without any more fancy tools and just see how effective this new body is. Picking up his electrostaff off the ground and yelled

"You are smarter then I Lord Mettallum expected and so much deadlier so I Lord Mettallum shall make you kneel before me without using any more of my fancy tools"

Lord Mettallum rarely had the chance to fight someone who could actually have a chance at beating him and he wasn't going to ruin it by using any more of his tools unless he really needed to.

"Oh but I am straight with you Macharius, I am programmed not to lie, you know that."

That in itself was a lie, well the statement that he could not lie, but the fact that the droid didn't had that much of a secret agenda was true,

"Denon, your planet, listen it is neat, it really is, but it has no resources we could gain by taking it from you forcefully. There is no shipyards, you have no navy, we can achieve similar production through industrial stations and forge-ships, and before the Republic even formed its resources were drained dry. I am here to help Denon increase their industrial capacity and prosperity, what we would have to gain, outside of more shipyards to use in mean time, is a proof to Galaxy that not all droid rebellions end in mass murders and massacres, that if we work together, organic and droid, we can achieve power than ever before."

HK proposed,

"I am not here to depose you or force your government to make changes, outside of few suggestions concerning the civil liberties of droids on your planet perhaps, if we work together Denon will be your domain and its orbit mine, there I will build for you an orbital shipyard and help you create Denon's modern navy, crewed by your people and under your control, alongside defensive and industrial stations and ports for the traders passing through hyperlanes. I am sure you remember what happened to Abregado when I offered them the same and they accepted, the center of trade and commerce they became out of a forgotten backwards port world, rivals to Coruscant and you in terms of prosperity and beauty. Think about what we could achieve here, with Denon, combined with your cunning, Macharius."

The droid leaned in towards him,

"But you are right, these are not Omegan days, the Republic has fallen and the Pyre is not there to help us fight the Sith. The Galactic Alliance is weak, every battle I offered them on a silver platter they managed to khark up and lose anyway, those who could be Denon's allies are still few and in their infancy while the enemies become more numerous and stronger each day. When they will finally come to Denon all of us will have to make a choice, bend the knee or retain our dignity and fight. I remember your deeds during the One Sith Wars, and I know you are not a coward, just as you should remember that I actually care about my soldiers and the people we protect. If the Sith Wars start again near Denon would you rather face them alone, or with shipyards and navy to support your army, more resources ready for another undertaking, and a throng of allies ready to back you up?"

HK paused then slightly,

"By the way, if I did not clarify already, most of the ships we brought into your orbit are construction vessels."

Kay smiled a little as [member="Ultimatum"] gave her the offer of going on an adventure with him whenever she needed a respite from her stress. Although she couldn't remember the adventures that they had had before, she was certain that it was something that the two of them had done on more than one occasion. "Thank you for the offer. I'll be sure to keep it in mind for when I need it."

She nodded as he then invited them to the conference room. Kay followed him, glancing over her shoulder to Mute, [member="Darben Skirae"] and [member="Darlyn Excron"] as she passed them. She worried about the little Twi'lek girl more often than she should have. The girl was not her responsibilty, but that didn't mean that she wouldn't look after her if asked.

As they got into the conference room, she could smell the foods already on hand for them. Tastey treats on a side table as well as tea and other drinks. Kay didn't head over to them yet, however. She decided to wait until their host gave them the signal to do so. Ultimatum was conducting this meeting, afterall. Kay was sure that he had his own schedule in mind.

After landing a strike upon [member="Lord Mettallum"]'s body, IG-801 pushed off of the large droid, aiming to create some distance between them before they continued. The momentum he had struck Mettallum with would have downed any other droid, but it appeared that this model was armored with durable plates of phrik all over its frame. A dent had hardly been made, and so the MagnaGuard knew that a new strategy would have to be executed.

This Lord Mettallum was not the same as the prototype in the warehouse, and so IG-801 still did not know what this other droid truly was. Mettallum was much larger than the prototype, forcing the MagnaGuard to recalculate new approaches against the enemy now it had been located. Wrenching a wrist back quickly, IG-801 had no intentions of playing fair, thrusting its metallic hand forth as an energy grappling line propelled into the air, attempting to wrap around Mettallum's legs.

If it was successful, the MagnaGuard would use all of its might to pull the Metal Lord, in an attempt to topple him over. It would be quite difficult to do so, considering the weight of his opponent, but IG-801 intended to take advantage of the opponents willingness to not use 'fancy tools.'
