The Crash of a Life Time.

A wise old man? Well he was half right. Everyone had their own bits of wisdom that came from their own life experiences. She smiled, "I promise that I won't close your eyes permanently. Besides, we need an old guy like you to fix this bucket of bolts from ancient times." She laughed a little as she recalled the jibes that she used to give her Master when she was at the Academy. He was firm in his teachings, but occasionally he'd crack a joke here and there when she wasn't expecting it.

Kay sampled another bite of the ration bar and couldn't wait until they had real food again. But first she had to fix his sight. Whatever the block was that was preventing him from seeing seemed to be breaking down. Maybe it was because he was relaxing more and trusting more. It was hard to say. But she wasn't going to question the fact that her efforts were working.

"I wonder what others would think when you tell them the story of our little adventure here? Would they believe you? Or would they just think that it was a tall tale?"

"Probably be surprised i wasn't hitting on you every five minutes, or that you didn't kill me after a day from sheer annoyance. Very few people see me... well like this. Granted its mostly because of the eyesight and the fact that we are stranded on a planet with no way off yet, but hey. Lets go with the eyesight as a reason." He smiled at her as he leaned forward on his hands and stared in her direction. "Granted, and to be faiir, i am sure you are quite pretty Miss Kay, but alas i cant tell that for sure."

With that he went back to eating though a truly relaxed smile crossed his face as he looked at the food. It was good to joke around again and talking about doing it would be welcome. He couldn't wait to once more be able to see though there was something that he thought of while he sat there. What if it did come to the point where he would no longer be able to see. IF it came to that point it would be a interesting and curious chapter in his life... though it would royally suck for such to happen so he placed a bet on the being able to see part.

Kay smirked as he joked about his eyesight being the only thing stopping him from behaving as he normally did around others. So which was his true self? The one that he showed her here? Or the one that would annoy her and hit on her every five minutes? She hoped for the former. But it didn't quite matter. People behave in the way that is most comfortable to them. Even Kay did that at times. So she couldn't fault him for something she did herself.

Once Kay was finished her supper and tea she got to her feet and stretched. "Let's try to restore your sight first. Then if I want to kill you later, I'll save that for after we get off this floating ice cube." She grinned and then added, "When you're done, I'll need you to lay down on the bed again." It was his turn anyways.

"You might have to hop in line on that one. There are a few others that probably want to be the ones to kill me." He smiled as he stood there and he heard the second part he nodded. "Ill be sure to take my time then miss Kay, don't need you straining yourself any time more than is needed. Then again it would be nice to see and thank you for all the help Kay. Cant wait to get to work on getting us out of here." His hands moved to break off another part of the bar, throwing it up in his mouth as he smiled.

She smirked. "The best way that you can show your thanks is by helping to get us out of here." Kay wondered if he was stalling a bit, but he probably just wanted her to relax more. But she was done her meal while he was not. "And maybe you could teach me to play music?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Oh? I didn't realize that you wanted to learn. I suppose it would be easier to teach you if i could see so i think we should get started, don't you?" HE smiled as he turned to look at her, the curiosity on how interested she actually was in learning brimmed in him. HE loved to teach people, whether it be of the force, recreation, gardening, or even just the use of such a beautiful instrument as the one he carried with him. It was something he more than believed in, that everyone should know as much as they can. Knowledge brought understanding and understanding showed to a brighter path, and to him and even in his dark place he thought that was more important than power any day.

"Yes I'd love to learn. I haven't heard music often and I like the way it felt to play. The music seemed to flow through me, like the Force does."

Kay got to her feet and help him to the bed. "But yes, let's work on your eyes more, first." She waited for him to get comfortable before placing her hands on his eyes. She thought of the music and how it flowed as she tapped into the Force, using the good feelings it brought to further help repair the optic nerves in his eyes. Kay continued to work slowly as the area was very delicate. After a couple of hours, she pulled back from the Force and opened her eyes, first removing her hands before she backed into the chair and sat down. "Oh boy....I hope that's done it..."

His body had been still all throughout the process, his eyes closed. HE tried to sit through it with a clear head, but a slight spike in his fear was there and he had to actively push it down. He needed to see, he had to as it would drive him crazy being so close to being fixed that if he would never be able to see again, well as he said it would be a pain. As she worked though the light started to clear even through his eyelids. Granted it was faint, too faint for anything recognizable but then after a few hours her hands left his face and he stared at the back of his eyelids.

Slowly they opened, the amber color still in his eyes as he looked up at the ceiling. He sat up as slowly as his eyes had opened and he waited to for a moment as the light hit them. He blinked, first once but then twice and lastly a third time before he smiled and turned his head at her. A Single pause before words came out. "You really should have left me blind, you are pretty." He smiled, he could see, everything was right and he sighed as he couldn't believe it.

She watched in anticipation as he sat up and tried to focus. She sighed as well before smirking at his comment. "I be you say that to all the girls." Yes as he had warned her that he was a flirt and he showcased that talent now. Kay massaged her leg muscles as standing still for so long was taxing on them. "If I had left you blind, we'd probably be stuck here forever." She glanced around the room. "I think that I have earned a warm tea, don't you? And then after we can find a place to light a fire and have a proper meal. Then you can take a look at the ship from the inside and see what's fixable and what isn't. But don't go outside yet. With all the snow, it'll be too bright for you. Better to wait until nightfall." All of that was spoken in one huge sentence as she was just too excited and too full of hope.

He watched her as she looked around and spoke, her excitement and filled to the brim with hope that it made him laugh and slowly he stood up before resting a hand on her shoulder. "Just point me to where the stuff is and i can get it going." His hand left her shoulder after he said that, crossing behind his back as his stance resembled that of a military one, both hands residing behind him now. "And Kay, its when i stop hitting on people that they should be worried, it means i like them." He grinned at her as he started to walk away towards the supplies, going to work on finding the pot and the leaves for the tea if there was any left. It was good to see again and the amount of hope coming from her was slightly infectious. Infact it was that that made him smile more as he sat down with the pot now.

Of course there were more leaves left. She always made sure to have more than enough supply for her little...well addiction. Better still was that Sapir leaves were so strong in flavour, that one never needed too many to make a tasty tea with. Kay dug inside her satchel and brought out a few leaves, as well as her water bladder, handing them to him without moving from the chair. Soon she'll need to gather more snow to create more water, but that can be done later. For the moment she was going to rest and drink some tea when it was ready. It was great to be hopeful again and even better to see Solan happy too. She wasn't going to bring up the other footprints just yet. Better to eat and see what could be done about the ship first. Then deal with potential danger.

Kay pointed to various boxes, feeling a little bit like royalty as she refrained from leaving the chair. "The proper food is in those boxes over there. They aren't gourmet meals, but certainly better than the ration bars. All the tools and such that I found are in the passenger bay. No need to rush on that for a little while. I'm sure that it wouldn't kill us to sit tight for a little while longer."

He looked around and thought for a moment before just in case he propped the door open slightly so that the smoke would be pulled out and they would not have to worry about choking to death. Once done he gathered some things that would be useless to them and curled them up into a ball before setting up a station for the food to cook. Meanwhile he would continue with the tea until it was done, his hands pouring it out into two cups before turning to her and reaching out with the glass in his right hand to give to her. "Let see, how about a toast to finally getting off this place, and somewhere nice."

His hands came to his own glass as he turned his head, reaching out with the force and slowly building up the heat in the items. To be fair he didn't actually need them in order to create a flame but this way he didn't have to worry about haivng to constantly work on the flame. He was getting a bit tired anyways.

Kay took her tea and smiled. "Yes, a toast would be lovely.....To getting off this floating ice cube and to some place warm with good food." Oh how she couldn't wait to eat a proper meal again. The thought of a full tummy was a nice one to have. She clinked his glass and then had a sip of her tea. It was warm, not too hot and flavourful. "Thank you."

She spotted the fatigue in his eyes. "Try not to overdue it for today. The two of us can get a lot done tomorrow." Or so she hoped. It all depended on what Solan thought of the state of the ship.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Agreed, it going to be nice getting about getting this thing working. If it can that is. The good thing is that we are now overdue at our next stop and the chances of them thinking something is wrong would be higher which means as long as we get the transmitters up and running the moment another ship comes into the system it shouldn't be hard to find us. The better option would be getting this thing flying but i dont know if that is even possible without certain equipment." He leaned back and stared at the fire, making sure the smoke floated towards the opening while they sat there in the confines of the ship.

She nodded. "Yes, let's fix the transmitter first. If there are any wires that need mending or anything, well, it's no different than healing someone's body. It's just that it won't be biological. So I can help with that. As well as any heavy lifting, or fetching things for you. I'm sure you'll find that I'll be a great assistant." Kay had another sip of her tea, enjoying the fire, but not quite looking at the flames. Flames bring bad memories. It's amazing how looking forward to something can lift one's spirits, and she was feeling super optimistic right about now. "So Master Chef, what do we have for dinner this evening?"

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Meat of an unspecified variety with some tea on the side, a meal fit for a king." He smiled at her and leaned back as he pulled off the meat he had been working on before turning it over and cooking it through. He was curious what this would taste like because as he had said he had no idea what king of meat this was nor whether how long it took to cook it so it was likely solan was going to burn this on his first try as sad as that fact is. That and it had been a while since he last cooked for himself or another... he would need to rectify that when he returned home as he was sure Evania would want to learn. She was bright after all.

"Sounds absolutely divine. And I should hope that it is a meal fit for a King as I hope that you are eating some as well." She smiled back at him and had a sip of her 'side dish'. "If I ever told somebody that I got a King to cook me supper, I don't think they'd believe me." Kay winked at him. She had no one to tell anyways, but it sure would make for a terrific story later on.

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Depends on who you told, some might be surprised i haven't done more in the realm that they would expect. And to be perfectly honest i missed doing this. Kinda makes you miss the old life of no decisions and doing everything for yourself. Being a King is largely boring at times and its a lucky thing that the Keshiri are such a structured people..." His hands pushed at the meat to make sure it was being cooked through, he wasn't sure what kind of meat this was so ensuring it was cooked through was essential.

"Ah, I see. So you have some on your council that don't feel as though you are doing enough, yet some think that you are doing just fine? I've run into that plenty of times while on diplomatic missions. It's the same everywhere." Kay closed her eyes a bit as she could smell the meat. "I can't wait to try it. Even if it is really gamey, it'll still taste better than protein bars."

[member="Lady Kay"]

"Well of course there are those that believe that but i meant would be more surprised i am not trying anything. People tend to think i am quite active, more so than i ever even came close to be minus the one obvious time." He leaned back as the meat was cooked and he used what he had on hand to pull it apart and check it. Almost done, just a minute at most more. "Least you have your tea to hold you over Kay, if you didn't i would hate to see your withdrawal symptoms.
