The Righteous Side of Hell [Republic Re-Invasion of Alderaan vs. One Sith {Masters & NFUs only}]

His legs continued to carry him onward, the natural speed of a Zorren and the power of the force allowing him to race by at amazing speeds. "Vosra. It has to be." It had only been for a moment, but it was enough. He was here and he was fighting. Now, Darth Tsolan simply needed to track his target. And with the dog like senses of his species, such a thing would become a rather easy task.

Soundtrack: Coric Attacks!

Coric's eyes lifted to the sky as the reinforcements had finally decided to show. Drop ships of all sizes descended towards the planet, ready to off load fresh supplies and soldiers for the conflict. Despite this new effort to retake the planet, Coric sensed a lack of urgency and overall commitment to the Republic's counter offensive. "I feels like we should be on the offensive." He turned to one of the Sith Soldiers. "Get me a speeder bike, I have an idea."

Several minutes later Coric was standing in front of a 105-K lancer bike, painted jet black as the Sith forces finished unloading out of a transport. Coric nodded in satisfaction, and as he did another soldier set down a long rectangular black case in front of him. Coric moved forward and unlatched the case, lifting out the large Power lance he then walked over and took a seat on the lancer bike, firing up its engine. "Well, this will be fun." Coric comment as the lancer bike came to life. He looked to the Sith forces. "I'll draw their fire. You'll know what to do."

He gave some juice to the throttle, and activated the power lance's super heated tip. The lancer bike surged forward moving with frightening speed. Coric piloted the speeder towards Republic forces. Blaster fire began to rain in from every direction. Coric lowered his power lance and swerved around evading enemy fire. Pushing the lancer bike to its max speed he closed the gap between him and the Republic troops, then he made hard contract, his lance cutting through a soldiers effortlessly. He banked hard to put the republic soldier to his left side, evading more blaster fire form every direction as the mercenary veered the lancer bike around.

It’s something that must be done…

But why…?

Because when all else fails, you will be there to help her…

Aaralyn never figured out where the voice had come from, much less who it was. It never mattered, as she was here, on the battlefield proper. The dropship she was in cruised through the troposphere and continued to descend into the depths of what had become Hell. The once beautiful landscape of Alderaan, now charred ruins and attempts to transform it into something beyond the known Gods and the Force itself.

Aaralyn could feel the Living Force and the beautiful comfort it provided her, the exhilarating rush of emotions as they approached closer and closer to the front lines. A Jedi Master in her position didn’t live in an ignorant state, as she was aware very much so of the Unifying Force and its spectrum, especially after being exposed to the Holocron of Yoda and being around the Grandmaster Kiskla Grayson. With the experiences she had had, the soul within her body being scoured and bound to the mind for memories, she could safely say that the Unifying Force was something she had become inherently aware of.

But none of that mattered for the moment, what mattered was the present...that almost numbing sensation on the horizon. The inability to feel in certain places within Aldera City.

The Vong were here, it was no secret. How many? Well, if one was able to isolate the Living Force from the sensation that Aaralyn felt now as she did on Coruscant, they could isolate numbers, but that would take time. It was time she didn't have as the sound of explosions began filling the interior of the dropship, and that brought her attention further into the present. She heard the excitement from the Republic troops as the Captain of the vessel began yelling orders through the overhead speaker.

Aaralyn walked to the edge of the vessel bay doors as it began to open up counter-fire of its own, reducing speed as it came in to prepare to drop off troops. She opened the rear ramp, the light to proceed would turn from red to green as she watched the ground continue to pass by at a decent speed, but that didn’t matter.
This wasn’t for them, it was for her.

She would run forward and do a swan like dive from the vessel despite it being atleast thirty feet above the ground. Her decent would be too quick to do anything more than a forward flip and during the said flip, her hands would pull free the lightsabers from her waist and ignite them in a blurred fashion to the sides of her body. As she came down to the ground, the Force would aid her, the brief second she had would be split between the concentration of timing and Force energy to cushion her fall. She timed it just right to bring both blades down to slice clean through two passing speeder bikes, one on each side, whilst the remaining concentration went into Force energy to cushion her lower half from being jarred into such a state it would break bones. The now out of control One Sith patrol bikes would speed off in a directionless spiral of death and explode into a fiery blaze of twisted metal and body parts. Aaralyn slowly rose from her position and turned to face the front lines of the battlefield.

It was time to show she still had her edge…and more than that.

Simone snapped her eyes from the ruin and swallowed, burying her nerves beneath that attitude once more. "That sounds an awful lot likie vengence...didn't think that was very Jedi like. I mean, I don't care, the more vengeful you guys are the more likely I think you are to win this." She was rambling "Anyway, that's not the point, I'll see what I can find, high possibility they'll be using villips though and I...ugh..I can't slice them...though I'd love to get my hands on one, so if you do--"

Stars, Simone, shut up! "Do you know what, it doesn't matter. Good luck and force be with us all." She moved away "'cause we're surely gonna need it today."

The eagle scouts moved out, small droids not likely to be noticed amid the incoming republic forces. Or at least she hoped. They were expensive...and she didn't have a lot of reserves.

When a hound is given a cent to track there were few things that could stand in its way. Immersing himself in the White Current he slithered his way through the city, passing Sith and Republic forces alike. He amused him how he was becoming more and more like that man in the hood. Hot on the Grandmaster's trail something else piqued his interest. The Sword of the Jedi, once an acolyte of Vahl was here as well...Turin gave a twisted smirk and flecks of gold sputtered in his dark eyes.

It would not be long now...Maybe if he could make it quick he could capture the Sword as well, bring them both back to Her chosen. Regardless, he had to stay focused on his prey. Her group was in sight now and he could not afford to be detected now.

"Yes, Ma'am," he said, not bothering to salute in a warzone. That would get them both killed. "Adjusting orders to liberating Alderaan."

He'd been doing this job a while so order adjustments were nothing new to him. He didn't bother telling her that he was, technically, outside her chain of command. He figured that she had, technically, just given him the same orders he'd been given before. Grand Master Grayson was important to the war effort and important to liberating Alderaan itself. One could argue she may be the keystone for the operation, in a way. The wording was different, but the gist was the same. In order to make sure the people of Alderaan were protected and that the planet itself was liberated, Master Grayson was needed, almost crucial. Therefore, in order to liberate the planet and the people here, he had to make sure she survived.

He kept pace with his Jedi charge and the rest of the troops. Here and there, fighting sparked up, but for the most part the battle had only just reached the beginning stages.

Hell would come next.

Talon was caught off guard by the Yuuzhan vong weapon as it slithered out and spit its poison at his eyes. He ducked low and lost both his cloak and meditation suddenly appearing in the force at the palace. Some of the venom splattered on his face as the majority passed him by. He quickly wiped the rest away as he drew a saber but left it unlit. He looked across the floor and lifted a hand to lift a chunk of debris and sent it shooting for the creature. With luck he could crush it before anything else showed up.

"What in the bloody chaos."

The droid muttered to himself as he witnessed a flash of a Power Lance, a device of older design which seemed to be still in use on the Sith side, and perhaps on the Republic as well, he did not had their full weapon manifesto. Anyway, as the man begun to charge towards them the droid took aim with the rifle he held, the SR-1 shattergun, keeping track of the fast moving target with his advanced sensors and trackers.

"Sio, Sio's Inevitable Future Lover,"

He quipped referring to the Battering Ram and Jedi Bones,

"I think the Sith are getting more brave or more board, either way, let us deal with him."

Through the quick sentences the droid was measuring down his target, making sure he had an opening until finally.

Fwoop,

Coric's speederbike would be first hit by the hypervelocity projectile, one with enough shot to penetrate vehicle armor, even bent Phrik, surely speederbike would be no match as their armor was usually thing and the vehicle vulnerable. Then there would be the sound of the pellet flying, vibrating as it sped at insane speeds through the air, that would came after the pellet itself for the bullet would travel faster than sound.

There would be no flash from the rifle, pellet was fired via magnets, no sound, the dampeners inside the barrel took care of that, recoil which HK counter-acted with his sturdy mechanical body of augmented strength, and then the rails would begin to charge for another shot.

Whether Coric's bike was hit, what effects it had, and whether he was harmed I will let his writer to decide, HK was aiming at the side of the vehicle, taking correction at its speed, direction, the speed of the pellet, and its trajectory, hoping to hit the acceleration unit as well as steering controls.

The droid watched his target as he prepared for another shot, staying wary of the surroundings via motion and sound tracking sensors, just in case anybody was trying to sneak upon him or interrupt the droid and he would have to either defend himself or take evasive actions. Kiskla was still nearby the machine as his distance from her did not change.

The drop ships had reached the atmosphere of the planet and began dropping altitude as they were approaching the ruins of Aldera. "All right, men! Prepare yourselves since we're gonna drop in the ruins. We'll be expecting AA fire and we'll begin spreading hell throughout the one Sith ranks. Whatever happens, whether we make it or not, it has been an honor serving with you folks. Good luck," and ended his talk about their plan. He readied the BTI-CC13 or know as 'Ol' Reliable' and checked to see the DC-15 sidearm was in its holster. Along with that he and the rest of the soldiers had anti-force user grenades which would be useful against the Sith and other force users. Suddenly, a red light appeared in all of the drop ships which alerted all the troopers to get ready for combat. He saw twenty Fett clone commandos and other regular soldiers preparing their weapons and trained them on the entrance of the drop ship.

A loud bang erupted in the air which turned out to be AA fire and was soon joined with out AA fire. "There goes a drop ship," the pilot said informing the battalion as he witnessed one of the drop ships getting blown up from AA fire. Then two more went down the drain but they would also crash land within the ruins of Aldere killing hostiles or destroying the AA guns. "Get us down, now!" Canal ordered the pilot. He didn't want to have more troops getting blown out of the skies without having the chance to be on ground and fight.

"Yes, sir," was the reply from the pilot and as soon the drop ship began descending the other drop ships followed. A few moments later the pilot then said to the soldiers in the drip ship, "Welcome to paradise, boys," after that the green light flashed through the drop ship.

"Go!"

And from the drop ships soldiers stormed towards the ruins and bringing hell to the one Sith ranks along with their allies.

The smoke from the destroyed transport floated behind Helios as he broke into a sprint, snatching his saberstaff from his belt. Golden eyes scanned the battlefield before him, as he looked to the corners of the battlefield and searched for enemy reinforcements. There were none. His crimson weapon rotated quickly, and precisely as he deflected blaster bolts into the dirt. His eyes continued to move. The Eldorai looked over the enemy lines with cursory glances, looking for heavy artillery, then finally searched for mobile units. Helios' eyes narrowed, wrinkling the milky white skin at the corners. Maintaining his deflective barrier, Helios decided to help clear this LZ before advancing deeper into the city. If he could clear the distractions occupying this area they could wipe out any reinforcements trying to close in on the zone.

Turning 180 degrees, Helios' precognitive abilities, although mostly underdeveloped, proved just useful enough for fights like this where multidirectional blaster deflection was most utilized. Most often, the Eldorai found that the only time he was able to develop abilities akin to precognition was during actual battle. Soldiers tend to target force users more often than not, which is sensible. The advantage of being a priority target in blaster fights however, is getting used to being mobile, observative, and defensive.

A quick strafe, maneuvered by natural and instinctive movements allowed Helios to dodge a few more shots before he looked up to see a grenade headed his way. Helios in that instant couldn't see whom launched it but at least had the positional advantage of seeing which direction it came from. Quickly, Helios decided that the trajectory of the grenade would result in it landing at Helios' feet. Stern in his decision to push himself and prove his theory correct, the Eldorai burst forward.

With aid of the force he was able to advance several steps before the grenade touched down, essentially placing him in a different position to embrace the detonation. Now, the explosion would happen behind him but the technical guru made especially sure not to leave the radius, although that might have been a lot more difficult to achieve. Snapping his lightsaber to his belt with his left hand, Helios simultaneously snapped his dominant right hand backwards and projected a protective force barrier between himself and the grenade.

The forward momentum he created with his burst of speed in combination with his barrier allowed him to be propelled forward safely, although not entirely unharmed. Compliments of his lack of training with force powers that revolved around barriers and bubbles, Helios' technique was incomplete and faulty, resulting in the barrier dissipating prematurely. He didn't sustain any life threatening injuries however, and his concentration remained absolute as he soared through the air, riding the force of the grenade's explosion. Despite the momentum of his position, he forced his head down where his eyes washed over a foxhole with a Soldier inside. Helios' hand moved to his belt and unlatched a grenade and slid the pin out with his thumb and index finger. When he landed, he rolled one time before quickly popping to his feet, writhing in silent agony as his unseen injuries threatened to buckle his posture.

"Not in front of these filthy mongrels."

Drawing on the pain he felt, Helios' symptoms subsided as he took two quick steps forward and lobbed his grenade into the pit. Mindful of the time that expired between pulling the pin and landing to throw it, the Eldorai speculated that the explosion would occur either as it entered the fox hole or immediately after it touched something inside.

Finally, he caught sight of him. Talon Vosra fighting against one of the vong and of course using the force in such a way that it counteracted the creature's inability to be touched directly. It didn't mattered if he crushed the creature. Something else had showed up. Launching himself into the air, he entered a flip and a turn before landing before him and flourishing his blade.

There would be no telling that it was Vulpesen under the mask. His body was changed and his presence hidden under an impenetrable cloak of darkness. No, this was a duel who's meaning would likely only be felt on his side of the fight. "And here you are old friend. Slashing through our ranks." He grinned and his saber lit, revealing a crimson blade. "Tell me, are you still a leading shadow or did becoming a council member make you as lazy as the rest of the order?" It was a blunt introduction but he didn't need fancy words, all he wanted to do was discover if he was right. As for the vong "queen", he simply turned and sent her a neutral glare. "I believe I have some business with this particular jedi." Did he care that he might be ruining her fun? Not really. Honestly, he hated the vong. Uncivilized creatures who's lust for war drove him insane. No, he held no care for her and might even take a bit of pleasure in her annoyance.

One of the buildings behind HK-36 seemed to shimmer, to move. Though it was covered in organic dust and sprawling tentacles of some biological nature, most of this was stationary and unmoving. Simple growths. Gray matter, it seemed, that had covered most of the buildings in Aldera. It was quite obvious that something... something since the leave of the Republic and the takeover of the planet by the One Sith... was happening here. The first large scale vongforming of a planet since the Yuuzhan Vong invasion of old? Perhaps this was the Dark Lord's doing. Perhaps it was a side effect of some weapon unleashed during the first battle of Aldera. The battle had been quite chaotic... but nothing could really explain why portions of the houses, the buildings, were covered in this organic ooze and matter. Even if it wasn't moving.

But this...this particular portion, near @HK-36... began to move.

Tsavong had been laying in wait for an ambush as his ooglith masquer subsided, the same masquer that made him look as part of the building, and the behemoth burst forth with four large arms and a overgrown tkun in one hand, attempting to grapple @HK-36.

“It’s not vengeance.” Kiskla assured herself, more than Simone. “It’s curiosity.” [member="Darth Junra"] and [member="Ben Watts"] had communicated on Coruscant, but since then, Daella had spun out of all sorts of control. Things had gone awry on so many occasions, and the Grandmaster was curious if the former councillor was still as steadfast in her pursuit of self-titled-intergalactic peace as the initial foray. And if there were ways to stop her.

A portion of the nexus’ barriers were crumbled and sprawling in a rubble wake toward the Jedi and the troops that followed her. The jaws of darkness waited for them, and the echoing howls of various creatures ricocheted about the citadel. Pops of plasma were detected by the blonde behind her as some of the savage creatures being brewed within the bowels of the base crawled and slithered forward for attack.

Kiskla’s stomach wrenched slightly at the visuals. Vong. She hadn’t detected them because she’d been so busy focusing in Force signatures. The Vong were dead to the ethereal detectors. How stupid, Grayson! Coincidentally, at this time, the scar on the back of her hand seemed to itch — the wound which she’d been infected by hydra’s venom about a year ago on Katarr.

The first contingency presented itself. A 22-meter long slug that could put Chancellor [member="Popo"]’s presence to shame. Alongside the Vong-created creature, were two vehicles that resembled beetles. Through clenched teeth, the girl sucked in as much air as possible to indicate her absorption of the situation.

“Simone, stay covered. I need your eyes and ears. Captain, that slug belongs to you and your men.

Sardun, you take the other bug thing, and our Protectorate allies — keep pressing onward while we handle these Vong-spawn. Let’s shut down their centre of control.” HK-36 soon became preoccupied, however. She hoped it would be no more than a brief glitch, but that wasn’t guaranteed.

Kiskla usually worked alone. Giving commands felt kind of good, perhaps even natural. Immediately, her agility manifested itself in the fluid motion of departure. One of her two blades sprung to action, the cerulean plasma rod activating instantly and snapping from her grasp as Kiskla lowered her centre of gravity to a mid-crouch. This blade spun perilously in a horizontal direction toward the onward-pressing scuttle of the Throttle Herder. It sizzled against spiky organic flesh, focusing on the columns of limbs on the left corner, so the creature would tilt away from the slug. The blade managed to slice through a series of the underbelly legs, causing the creature to tilt — but clattered to the ground after only a portion of the corner had been savagely sizzled. Unfortunately, as well-practiced as her throw may have been, there was still a lot of factors from physics to take into account. Friction and resistance being the primary obstacles.

Simultaneous to the horizontal whirlwind, Kiskla adjusted her weight to spring upward and onto the back of the beetle. She landed in a tripod stance, knee down, a palm, and her back foot. Her second sabre was active now, and twirling to come down into the back of the creature. It would be useless to attempt to manipulate it’s mind and save it — it was dead to The Force and chaotic at best. Beyond Kiskla’s control; her beast communication left much to be desired anyways.

The sizzle of her blade pierced the first layer of shell-like armour of the ridged beetle. Smoke spiralled from the contact, and the stench immediately followed the wispy cloud. Instinctively, she coughed and pulled backward, extending her free hand toward the edge of the creature. Beneath it, the cylindrical hilt quivered in response before curving through the air to it’s owner. The blonde was now equipped with dual blades, and army covering. This day was turning out better than she anticipated, so far. Not bad! Scrap bits of damaged the exoskeleton rained down from the top shell. In response to the agitation, the pilot made the vessel shudder — to which Kiskla skipped from her position toward where she assumed the port for the pilot would be. Inside was vong. With a slow exhale, the blonde consolidated with herself — there was no way to reach this being’s mind. The dual blades went to work, cutting a circle around the port and burning away the edges. The pilot was ready and sprung up with a knife — to which Kiskla reacted with a flick of her wrist and adjusted the angle of her blade to catch the melee weapon. Then, out jut her leg into the chest of the pilot and down he skittered — leaving the beetle vessel to wander uselessly without direction.

It would be at this point and time that the massive monstrosity of [member="Tsavong Kraal"] began to rear his ugly head. “Sardun, I hope you’re finished with that bug!” she called over the sound of shifting rubble and general spikes and whatever else composed the gong creatures.

Ten Rakamat would start to shuffle forward on their feet. It's a six-legged armored monster the size of a krayt dragon, with plating a foot thick, and plasma cannons and dovin basals implanted along its spine. Those massive projecting plates along its back act as cooling vanes for its overheated biology. And it has a control room and troop compartment in its belly, storing Vong troops inside to drop off.

The pack of slow moving Grokata would continue forward, hungering for food, lifting their sharp turtle beaks as they gave another honk in warning.

The Fire Breathers, would hang back scattered in the city, while a pair of Warkeepers would work in conjunction with the Thrall Herders, They were 22 meters long, slug-like, and had an armored shell studded with spiny growths which could fire plasma globs. Dovin basals were implanted into the creatures for defense purposes, able to generate powerful gravitational fields that were used mainly as propulsion devices and shields. They were capable of creating micro-black holes that could absorb laser shots at spacecraft, as well as almost anything else, from proton torpedoes to concussion missiles.

Meanwhile, the Hydra Queen's attention would drift from the distant [member="Talon Vosra"] towards another goal. Vongsense would bloom once again in her mind, the Yuuzhan Vong creatures responding to [member="Kiskla Grayson"]'s attack. She could sense the life flickering out from the beetle mount the Grandmaster had attacked.

Ember coals would narrow, and a snarl would draw upon her lips. Amphistaffs would whisper within the depths of her mind.

Of course somebody tried to snatch him, that usually how it went when he brought up a sniper rifle into his hands nowadays.

Anyway, the good thing was HK kept himself on overwatch, staying on high alert with his sensors and trackers, because as soon as a rather large blimp appeared out of a sudden in his proximity, well usually that was something to put one on high alert. And so, the droid's high speed calculations and reflexes kicked in, it would be a moment where he was extremely thankful for the recent droid body upgrade, for the new Phrik vessel made him much more agile, and that made evasive actions that much easier.

One of the points that could be raised was that Ooglith Masquers did not worked against droids, that was one of the advantages the YVH-1 had over the Vong, but then again it was said that it was when dealing with determining foe from friend, so let's just play it safe and say HK did not pierced through Tef-Vong's disguise until he begun to move.

And so it was empty air the Large Vong grappled as he pounced, the droid body tumbling under and by his multiple grasps in inhumane dexterity, screeching clicking noise emanating from the droid in a mechanical queer war cry or screech, whatever weird thing he was doing now. His rifle still in his hands he pulled the trigger, the railgun launching a hypervelocity projectile which proved in Invasion of Coruscant to be able to shatter the Vong Crab Armor at higher distance, aiming at the large beast's abdomen, although since the aim was quick the chance was high for the bullet to either miss or hit another part of the Vong, I'll leave that to the opposing writer to decide.

Instead of fighting the recoil this time the droid went with it, allowing it to push him back swiftly tilting towards the ground as his built-in repulsorlifts and rocketboots fired off along with his jetpack in almost instant sequence, the Leovi Wings system built into his outer armor which he used previously, hopefully the Vong did not get scorched or pushed back too much by the jets firing off, unsure whether he was reaching once more for the droid at the moment.

Phylis listened as [member="Siobhan Kerrigan"] rattled off a long series of terms and phrases that made the Jedi Master raise an eyebrow. It sounded like Siobhan either knew a lot more of this technical war stuff than she did. Or she was just making it up to sound more important. Possibly that.

Either way, Phylis looked around, seeing no enemies nearby.
“I’m sure that’s all fine. Where is the enemy though? Where is our backup? Do we have any reinforcements?”
This was why she hated battles. They were always so confusing.

Given the fact that Phylis was not a warrior and had only been in one battle until now, it was probably certain Siobhan knew a lot more about this technical war stuff than she did! Of course, the Countess could not claim to be a great leader or even much of a strategist! And apparently had the death charging personality of Wolverine, though Dark Phoenix style powers.

"Good questions. Do we have tanks, artillery, a medical corps? A FOB that can provide shelter, spare ammo? Is there air support? I'm afraid I can't answer that. Battles these days are even more chaotic than at Roche," Siobhan rambled on, clearly about to fall into a rant about how in the old days things had been different.

As is well-known, people in retirement tend to do that a lot, much to the youngsters' annoyance!

It appeared Siobhan did not have to walk far before she got some action at last. As we all know, she was terribly violent, enjoyed bloodshed and carnage more than was healthy, really despised Sith with a murderous passion - despised in the 'really want to brutally murder them', not in the 'I will randomly defect for no apparent reason' - sense and also did not like Vong. Racist, this writer knows, but then she hung out with Eldorai, who were not the sort to embrace equal opportunities.

Anyhow in the distance she beheld an enormous behemoth burst forth, with four arms and armed with a tkun. Siobhan was not familiar with the beast but it seemed to her like something a Bando Gora alchemist might have created. Well, the Bando Gora were wiped out ever since she razed Gehenna, but it was something they would have loved. Anyhow, it appeared the gods and goddesses of death were with today. Unless she ended up suffering a critical defeat, of course, but then she would get cortosis or phrik!

It appeared to have been trying to attack HK, who fired off with his big rifle and jetpack. Dramatic, really, but then Siobhan was in no position to judge because she used every moment to show off her ability to fly using the Force. One wondered whether someday she might forget entirely how to walk because she loved flying so much. Anyhow, now we shall finally come to what Siobhan actually did in response!

As it happened, Siobhan was equipped with one of the new shatterboltguns ARGH had designed. This weapon combined the sheer lethality and destructive potential of the bolter with that of the shatter gun, as the name might imply. Well, the technical name was Hyper-Velocity Kinetic Firearm - the Mass Driver 1 - but seriously, that was tremendously awkward to remember, let alone write!

"Phylis, brace yourself. Firing. We got company!" That was the one warning the Jedi Master got before the Butcher let loose. The gun happened to be loaded with explosive bolts, those familiar from the MK1 bolter, and so she squeezed the trigger and fired, aiming at the big behemoth.

There would be a flash, though not from the muzzle of the firearm but at the area where she was aiming at, once the projectile, a bolter explosive round far bigger than the pellets usually employed in shatter guns, reached the targeted area. The bolts fired by an MK1 could already penetrate light vehicle armour and devastate most forms of personal armour. The fact that the bolts exploded on impact made them devastating against force-users, since simply pushing the round back via force push made it blow up in your face and likewise force barriers were fairly ineffectual, unless they were high level.

To explain things on a technical level, the bolt would go through what the Gados scientists called "Hyper-Velocity Sharpnel Effect" what it means, usually the Bolt Gun bolts had area of effect explosion with their shock-wave and shrapnel, at the ridiculous speed at which the bolt was fired from MD-1 this all changed into a conical effect, which meant all the shock-wave, the super-heated shrapnel, the fire and vaporizing heat from the explosion, and fragments of the whatever debris might be laying around close to Tsavong should cause damage. A good hit by an explosive bolt fired by the gun was sufficient to penetrate heavy vehicle armour and the area of effect damage caused by blast and shrapnel made it a very useful weapon for bombardment and suppression purposes.

On another note, it was also extremely loud, causing a resounding roar as Siobhan fired it at the Vong creature. The railgun/bolter hybrid powered down after the shot had been fired, another bolt being loaded into it though it would need time to recharge. It was effectively a one shot weapon, unlike the standard MK1, though that one shot had a lot of power, such as the ability to punch through heavy tanks. Siobhan was not content with waiting though, having sunk into the Force and now she concentrated, even as the shot flew.

Overkill was her speciality after all. This writer confesses to being a bit uncertain about how the whole force dead thing works, beyond the fact that Siobhan would be unable to sense Vong through the Force and most direct Force attacks, except lightning, would not work on them. However, the same did not apply to indirect attacks. As she stretched out with the Force and exerted her telekinetic will the air in a radius around the Vong suddenly started to grow heavier as she exerted pressure, harnessing the power that by now came natural to her. Her organic leg was still paining her and concentration was etched over her features, but she persevered, pouring her will into summoning a force whirlwind that swept across the area towards the Vong, a maelstorm of power that travelled with great speed and force, a howling wind that as it travelled swept up pieces of debris along the way so that they might be pulled through the air and violently thrust at the Vong as the tempest blared through.

The aim being to bombard the giant behemoth even if he managed to withstand being gripped tight by the roaring tempest and thrown through the street. In short it would become very difficult to anchor oneself to the ground within the bounds of the target zone as she unleashed the wind.

Well, that worked out ok, I thought as I watched the grenade explode at Pointy Ears' feet. He didn't chuck it back but, wait, what was he- oh you've got to be joking.

Mr. SPF 100 had run right onto the grenade and tossed up a hand, his other holding the hilt of one of those laser swords. Some unseen energy contained the majority of the blast, but not all. From my vantage peeping over the edge of the foxhole I couldn't get all the details. He sailed through the air and for a moment I thought he might've been killed, then he hit the ground, rolled, and chucked something through the air and over my head, plinking off the ground behind me at the bottom of the crater.

"Feth."

Taozin amulet or no, he'd found me. I guess it is kinda hard to be inconspicuous when you're lobbin' grenades at a guy.

My fears about the plinking were confirmed when I heard the 'boom'. What happened next was a jumble of stuff. I was thrown forward, like I'd been slapped in the back by a giant. My helmet thunked off the ground. A series of sharp raps pelted my armor, but the TCA is tough gear. The original Republic Commando armor was duraplast and rated to withstand a grenade blast. My stuff was made from phrik. Lot of comfort that did me though.

Something hot and sharp bit into the back of my left leg.

"Feth!" I yelled, louder this time... cause it friggin' hurt.

Shrapnel must've slipped up underneath the grieve covering the back of my thigh.

Forcing myself to keep moving, I pulled myself up over the lip of the crater and got to my feet with a slight limp and a flash of white-hot pain. The terentatek-leather kama skirt I wore was supposed to stop this type of thing from happening. Just my freakin' luck. I glared through my helmet's lenses at the incoming Sith and raised my carbine.

The BTI-CC13 is just your average blaster rifle in terms of stopping power, but the thing I love about it is the multi-fire options. The setting was already on full-auto and I just pointed at my guy and squeezed the trigger. Red packets of plasma screeched out in swift succession.

Now, here's the thing about blasters and Force Users. The real good Forcies can deflect a lot of blaster bolts, but even the top notch guys have difficulty deflecting incoming fire from a full-auto blaster. I mean, heck, didn't that ancient guy Jango Fett put a Jedi Master down in five shots? I dunno, that's just what they tell me. What I do know is that sustained fire from a blaster rifle does nothing good for Force Users - or anyone, really. Maybe they'll parry the first half dozen, but after that? Well, good luck, bubba.

The batallion stormed into the ruins and aiming their weapons in front of them. There were war cries, yells, screams from the Protectorate soldiers as they either killed or died in honorable combat. They fired at anything that was in front of them except for their allies and themselves. Now the One Sith would have to deal with incoming raid from the Republic and the storm of Protectorate troopers. The Battalion then broke up into platoons so they wouldn't get picked up more easily by the One Sith due to the fact of their numbers that did received some attention.

Canal led his platoon through some sector of the platoon hoping to see if they could bring more attention to make the incoming raid of the Republic more easy. Most of his platoon consisted of Fett clone commandos while the other percentage were natural made soldiers that never came from a cloning tube. "Guerilla tactics, men! It's our best shot on not getting killed." As they ran through the sector of the ruin he heard something in his head. A voice. The clone stopped running and his platoon did the same. "Sir, everything all right?" A clone named Strill asked him. "Yeah, why don't you take control of the platoon? And no questions, understood?" He said, ordering the soldier. "Yes, sir. Let's move it men!"

The captain then began looking around, at the sky, everything. Could there have been a bug or something in him? No, that couldn't be. He knocked on his helmet three times to see if something happened. Nothing. Taking precaution he raised the blaster rifle and began aiming with it.

"Who are you?! What do you want?! Show yourself!"
