Just my 2 cents...
I was going to join the Imperial Remnant with this character to help it get going, despite an absolute abhorance of the name Remnant.
I got turned off by two things. First was the way they responded to genuine advice given by a longtime Chaos veteran. Second was the fact that after telling me that they needed more people to be mid level characters, a new person joined and took a fairly high position without anyone saying a word. I will not name anyone, nor will I even mention these things again. They are my opinion.
I am going to join the Red Ravens instead, it makes sense in Zander's head, to potentially use their destabilizing influence to help his grand scheme. I would be willing to join a proper Imperial faction as well if it actually happens.

I noticed, but I dare say it was not meant as you took it. I understand the leadership who want more low- midlelvel characters. Because, its tiresome to have loads of general, admirals, Darths etc with no one to boss around. That said, we need alot of leaders now as well. But those need to be OOC leaders also - organising things. Mind you its IMO.
Also in the current leaders defence, she has a mid level toon herself, allowing others to be IC in charge but remaining OOC admin.
I would give it a second chance as they say. *salutes*

I respect both your opinion and your dedication. However, my immediate loyalty will go to the Red Ravens. With them I can develop this character (once I finish the bio) as well as help them to continue their faction in a way that they prefer.

Wat about the original Imperial Remnant faction here?
idk why they do that here tbh, but I have seen it in World of Warcraft enough... In some uses, Alt and Toon are the same thing

I think a couple of things need clearing up, despite my respect for [member="Weiss"] 's dedication.
The Imperial Remnant has been dead in the water for weeks or months. It's resisted advice and reform attempts consistently. It's failed two Staff votes by a supermajority, largely due to nothing of substance happening before or between those votes. It will be removed with the next map update. Time to move on.

I want to echo what others have said that the name matters. There was a definite shift of opinion in how people viewed Atrisia after we switched to 'The Galactic Empire;' Whereas previously we were a tolerable minor power, the apparent audacity of claiming to be in the 'big leagues' was met with a lot of disdain.
At best an ancillary reason to our eventual collapse, but worth considering either way. The main take away, I think, is that while you probably want 'Empire' in the title somewhere, I would avoid pulling too much from canon. Let your ties to the Empire of old be evident in the way the faction is formed and run (did I mention I love the idea of a highly political and infighting Moff Council?) rather then just saying 'well it's Palpatine 3.0'
Somethng could defnitely be done with Crina, which is an absolutely fantastic piece of world-building. Anyway, just food for thought.

You can always tag this alt as well when you are running, and i'll cook up a bio or import an imperial character, she never got to play in the Atrisia war due to my absence.

As far as I remember Atrisia was under attack when I was here with [member="Taiden Keth"] for example defending, which was before the name change and about the time I took my break. I could be mistaken as they were my last days however.
I think there is less issue now as there is no other major faction with the name 'empire' in their title, so there is already distinction.

I'm writing a thread tonight. It will likely be up soon. All of you can choose to jump in at your discretion, whether it be as a character who alredy knows Jules, or a completely new Imperial who is unfamiliar with him. Hell, you can play as a part of the Praetorian Fleet (Julius' primary command) if you'd like.
But please.... once you commit to helping this idea get off of the ground, at least give it time to gain momentum. The idea seems popular but that doesn't mean it will be as popular with those outside of this thread.
