"There will always be darkness in the galaxy, it is up to you if you fight it or use it." -Asceriton Malvern

Time slowed to a halt. The Exarch watched from the holotable as a display of the battle was shown to him. For the most part the battle was evenly matched, although it was easy to tell that The Confederacy had been caught at a disadvantage. With most of the fleet working to press through the Sith lines there was no chance that they could turn to support John Locke. His losses would be...substantial. Losses that the Silver Jedi Order would remember. Losses that would be blamed on the Commander of the planetary invasion. Losses that would be traced back to Adron. This left a bitter taste in his mouth. They'd spent months devising the particulars behind this attack and the Armada was hand crafted to stop the world from facing a Mandalorian counter-attack. The only problem was the fleet was supposed to claim the planet first, mount a proper defensive and then stand as an iron wall between the planet and it's Mandalorian rescuers. That is not what was happening, not yet. As the Viceroy {[member="Voph"]} moved his fleet forward to assault the enemy lines, Malphas watched as his own ships released the full power of their armament. Hundreds of blasts echoed out into space, assaulting the Sith fleet with all the might that could be mustered. What happened next practically caused Malphas' jaw to drop.

"My lord, the Sith Fleet is leaving the system!" A metallic voice called out as the Exarch stared at the obvious departure of the Sith Empire. In one moment, the fleet that would cause the most trouble to their invasion plan was gone.

Had Malphas had the luxury of time he may have allowed a smile to come across his lips. His eyes fell to the hologram of the Viceroy, [member="Voph"] and his orders were given. "Viceroy, move your ships into the planet's airspace immediately. Destroy what remains of their space defenses so we can begin the mass invasion." He turned to [member="John Locke"], looking to the man with a slightly reassuring look. "Locke, continue to guard our rear flank, once my invasion fleet has moved into the planet's orbit our full fleet will turn to support you. These Mandalorians will not last long against the might of my Armada." The Sith Lord turned his eyes now to [member="Xobos Yakieer"] who stood ever prepared to receive his orders. "Now it is time for you to fall back. You have a new task, my apprentice. I want you and your ships to lead the planetary invasion, ensure that our ships reach the ground in tact and provide our ground forces with air support."

Turning from the viewport, Adron was able to watch as [member="Veiere Arenais"] turned to make his own exit. So that was another problem that would hopefully be solved. Turning to his communications officer, he spoke brielfy to the man. "Inform [member="Naedira Darcrath"] that reinforcements are on the way. She has no orders to die." He cast the officer aside, turning back to the viewport with an all too proud expression. Now, the war was beginning. The Confederate fleet pressed on, with the Veil leading past Voph's main forces. The spacestation that yet loomed in the Mandalorian's airspace would become irrelevant. "Commander, all guns target that station, clear the skies." And so The Veil and the Whitestar Battlecruisers would unleash hell upon what remained of the station, hoping to scour it from the skies.

When [member="Cypher Rage"] contacted The Veil, the Exarch turned to him with a confident smile. "Good of you to join us, Rage. Turn your fleets attention to the Chiss, it is past time we gave them a welcome. Reinforcements will join you shortly, that is all." Now, what did happen next caused the Exarch's lips to turn into a smile. As if the luck of the battle had not yet turned towards their side, another had chosen to throw their lot in with the Confederacy, bringing with them a full compliment to strike at the Mandalorians. This caused the Exarch to throw into a rather triumphant smirk as he turned to one of his deck officer's. "That fleet, I don't recognize it." He said, questioningly to the man.

The officer glanced down at his datapad before turning back to the fleet. "It's a newer formation sir, from a planet called...Dagata? It's a splinter group I believe, not actually a part of the planetary government my lord." The Exarch could care less of their loyalties to their planet, only to see if they would serve the Confederacy well. "Record their movements during the battle, I will review them once this has ended."

The Confederate ships pressed on, now that the space in between the planet and their ships was all but clear, it took little time for the Exarch's fleet to press past [member="Voph"] and move into Taanab's space. In one fell swoop,

Taanab belonged to the Confederacy.

[SIZE=9pt]Meanwhile, in space, the Hunter Group leader heard [member="Gerhard Manndorf"] 's unit's message. He sighed. He was sure they could get some of the ships through. but Mig had been clear. Keep the civilians safe. Period. Nothing attached. The Mandalorian opened his comms to the vessels, sounding slightly desperate.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]"This is Hunter Two, Eagle 7. While I hear you I was given one order on my honor. Get these people out safely. If I go to that Lucrehulk, I need to be assured that the civilians are taken out of here. Out of this war zone! They were just stable enough to leave before you made it. Along with that, one of two ideas. If you need prisoners from this, take me, and let the rest of my Aliit go. Other idea, try to find a way to get the others out of the hospital. We're there cause they can't leave, and we won't leave them undefended! Perhaps you have a solution though?" The Gred pilot may have been called a coward by some vod (fellow Mandalorians), but he had promised his Alor he'd see them out. Sometime, the most honorable course was not to fight. In this case, it was the only way to keep his orders. If the Hunters tried to run, they put the last of the civilians in harms way. he wasn't doing that. He was then surprised as they left. "Wait.... What? Well don't take a gift for granted. All ships push and jump!" And with that, Hunter Group jumped for where Tal Fleet was, prepared to hand over the newly stable patients.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]At the same time, the rest of Gred Fleet microjumped from the inner system to the planet, appearing next to [member="Livia Maddox"] , and Elijah's jaw dropped. He quickly hit the comms, and called out to Livia.[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]"Ma'am. When you said massive I wasn't expecting this! I’m not even sure we can scratch them!”[/SIZE]

[SIZE=9pt]Back planet side, Mig watch as… he wasn’t sure if they were monster or man, walked out of the pod. He readied his Trayc’kad, igniting the saber blades before watching multipul Mandalorians and militia members. Mig glared at the man, before yelling. “You wanna try and attack a medical world? The only time you do that is to slaughter! Now you’ll face a Mando’ad’jetii’s blade!” Mig then went on the attack, slashing at massive being. He wouldn’t let this person get through. This person would stop here! He would quickly bloke any attacks that came his way, showing his clan’s melee prowess. He continued to fight like crazy, not willing to let in. But something felt off. He couldn’t feel one of his vod anymore. A clanmate? What was going…. And then he sensed them again. Dead…. No. How could he be dead when Mig couldn’t even feel…. Someone was here! [/SIZE]As this happened, a “princess” tank pulled around, Concordia Queen painted on its barral. The tankers had gotten there just in time. Now if only the Alor would move! They couldn’t take the shot with him right there!

[SIZE=9pt]Where the attack had occurred, the Mandalorian, a Gred who was in the back of the group, hardly had time to react. He quickly twisted as [member="Corran Conner"] went for the slit. It hurt, and the Mando didn't realize what had happened at first. He turned to the man with shock. "You're... you're a pa... a patient...." This was worse then he though. Not deep enough to kill quick, but just enough for him to die. He feel on his knees, lifting his dagger/pistol and firing a shot before weakly tumbling over. He felt his helmet come off, which would only show the days actions. What had happened. The evacuation. Rushing people out of the hospital to try and get the one who had become stable out. [/SIZE]

The Cyan Squad was given their orders on how to proceed, they were working with Voph which was great, Kat was excited to be given any position that she thought was helpful or useful. She just wanted to show off her squad, not for glory but as proof of their capabilities. She contacted her squad members, "right, Cyan Squad, we are providing help to Voph and his forces. Take down opposition and ensure things go smoothly planet side." Kat then moved her ship, leading her pilots towards Voph and his position. However, then appeared the Sith, but not just the Sith, the Chiss as well. Things were starting to get interesting. Kat spotted enemy fighters, tapping her comms, "right, squad we are taking down those fighters so they can't do too much damage to the cruisers and such. Attack formation now!" Kat barked her orders as she took control of her ship and lead the strike on the Chiss fighters.

Her squad moved as one, as if they were reading each others minds or connected through the Force. But this was just skill and well rehearsed tactics. Kat was strict, she wanted them to be as one, understand one another. Firing, the N-Wings engaged with enemy starfighters, drawing their fire from the CIS cruisers. Kat spun her ship around, they were outnumbered by a fair amount but she was confident in their skill. The heavy fighters that were brought along outside of Cyan Squad could do some big damage as well, slower than the N-Wings however, Kat was hoping that their speed would prove a nuisance to the Chiss fighters. Darting around as they engaged the fighters. She had heard there was trouble on the ground forces through her comms but there was nothing she could do, these fighters needed to be dealt with and she was trying to help Voph's forces. Hopefully she would prove herself well.

Mood Music

Aedan sat in the command suite of the Bane sipping on a glass of brandy as reports flooded in a dark grin crossing his lips as he tapped a rhythm on the glass slowly. He blinked as suddenly a very familiar song flooded throughout the ship slowly all movement stopping as Aedan closed his eyes feeling a thrumming through the ring that rested on his chest. He opened his eyes his dark grin turning feral as he slipped the ring onto his finger and focused on it sending a surge of his power into it. Finally he stood and strode towards the exit of the command suite the door opening as he neared and exited onto the bridge revealing the planet Tanaab before him his ships floating dark in its shadow. He nodded to the helmsmen as all ships came online and started to move surging as one up and over the planet's horizon and towards battle to join it. As they finally surged around the last vestiages of the planet hiding them Aedan activated the solar sails of the Bane his eyes gleaming as he looks over reports and starts to designate initial targets humming under his breath as he flicked his eyes to a pair of fleets that needed opposition smirking lightly. Finally he pressed a button sending a signal piggy backed off of a stealth shuttle at the edge of the system to the rest of his forces hidden nearby. Moving around the moon nearby the stealth ships he had hidden approached from the Side of Adron's forces preparing to fire weapons at will. He smirked darkly as he saw that Adron had done as expected and acted like there was no counter. The CIS had forgotten that his forces had yet to reveal their presence and fleeting was his domain he did not easily allow trespassers. Behind them various ships started to exit hyperspace closing the retreat to CIS forces as the combined might of Aedan Miles brought itself to bear against them ships from many different factions gathered under one banner and crewed by a variety of species. The true might of Aedan laid not in the numbers but in the loyalty that each crewmen held towards the Pirate King not out of fear but respect and honor. Finally Aedan spoke his mismatched eyes gleaming as he spoke clearly. "All ships launch fighters and fire at will. Leave none of these pathetic warmongers alive."

Wasp had arrived fashionably late as always, only this time thanks to her meeting with lady kay arenais sometime prior, and had only arrived moments before the cis fleet had, which had promptly shot her down along the way, sending her ship crashing onto tanaab near the city. thankfully, she was able to slip past before the majority of their forces had arrived.

After getting her identification confirmed by the guards, she enters the hospital, going from soldier to soldier until one of them finally informed her where the commanders where. She freezes in place as one of them comes into view, clad in dark blue armour, an antique taung style helmet laying on the table next to him, his tall figure topped with white hair, could it be...

"...Falken?... father?"

Hes suddenly perks up, looking from place to place until he turned to see her, clad in her black armour, helmet off and in hand.

"Vhei?" it was him. she recognized not only the face of her father Falken naudir, but his voice as well.

"What are you doing here? I thought you left for a bounty hunter's life?"

"what are you doing here? where have you been? The fleet just vanished without a trace, I've been looking for you! for damn near 10 years now!" her tone was harsher than she meant it to be.

Falken's expression was nearly as blank as always.. though, it showed some signs of sympathy.

"Forgive me Vhei, Circumstances and the like. the short of it, is that the fleet has finally found a home. They call it Krieg, and we have at last begun a new life there. However, We have work to do vhei, the confederacy aims to wipe out the mandalorian culture, it is genocide out there" he says, transferring data from a data pad to her wrist link, transferring footage of the confederacy using dire wolves to murder civilians, and the general destruction of tanaab around them. Wasp puts her helmet on for a moment, watching the footage play across her visor. it made her sick to think that these were the galaxy's "Protectors"..

"you act like I should be surprised father.. I've seen the reports, I've seen the jedi, the exiles, I'm all too familiar with our enemy"

"And you act like I should be aware. you still haven't answered me vhei, why are you here? on tanaab? in the middle of a bloody war?"

"It might surprise you to know, father, that I've made something of a name for myself here. I am a soldier of mandalore, have been since the yhuuzan vong attacked ord centrell. I thought you had abandoned soldiering for the homeland?"

"the vong?.. Nevermind that vhei, times have changed. Krieg can no longer ignore this threat, I can no longer ignore it. If what you say is true, than perhaps you can assist us"

he begins demonstrating enemy troop movements and explaining the presence of the deathtroopers of krieg, truth be told he didn't expect much use of vhei in strategy, but then, he didn't know her like he did ten years ago. a lot had changed, evident by the bionic arm, another symbol of his own failings, he thought..

"Do you have sewers? we can use them to move the troops through.. here" she starts pointing at various areas on the map. "And here. if the deathtroopers can cloak, then we can use them and the ascendancy commandos to ,strike here, and here. Then, we can push the confederate forces with the mortui titan and infantry here"

Falken squints at the map for a moment, nodding. He had to admit, he didn't expect her to have any grasp on troop movements, everything he had taught her was about personal defense and soldiering on the field, not leading others.

"Very well, I'll round up [member="Adenn Kyramud"] and [member="Cleru"] ,see what they think of your plan" falken begins to leave the room in search of the chiss officer and mortui alor.
vhei stops him, grabbing his shoulder a moment "I'm going with you. don't look at me like that, I still know you, You're pushing the front aren't you?..."

"Fine.. but do not let anything happen to yourself. Your brother has already failed the clan by leaving, denying us a future alor. do not. do the same." all about the political side of the clan, that was falken. truth be told, he was the reason wasp hated politics. that, and she'd seen how much death the galaxy's political leaders had caused for the sake of their vendettas..

"you'll have a deathtrooper escort, come blaster or lightsaber, they'll defend you" and with that, he turned away, marching through the hospital to gather their allies.

Meanwhile...

A dozen or so eh? either that, or deathtroopers "good at making their forces look bigger than they actualy were. speaking of, A squadron of six or more Deathtroopers of krieg decloak all around [member="Scherezade deWinter"] and company.

"Pardon the eavesdropping lady, But we overheard something about surrendering, couldn't resist" one of them says through their skull like helmet.

"So, what do you say to a tour of our green little world?" another one says as they all raise their blasters, expecting her to say something cocky in return and then surrender, seeing as they had her surrounded. if only they knew her plan, else they'd have just shot her right then and there..

Orn smiled calmly at the young woman opposite of him, letting her speak. She had asked him something, but in his unease with his surroundings he may have glossed over it as though the young one hadn’t even asked. Instead he simply moved the conversation along, and she responded politely, not pointing out his rude mistake.

Yes, you may accompany me if it is your wish, Young one. It may be perilous, but I promise to keep you from harm.” That’s what it meant to be a Jedi to Orn. He was a healer and warrior. A Knight of the Jedi who held no allegiance to any specific people, but a responsibility to protect ALL life, from the smallest cricket to the largest Titan. It was a difficult duty, one that he failed every day, but those failures were not the end but rather fuel to drive the old Neti forward to redouble his own efforts.

Jedi Master Pharr groaned as they landed, heaving himself from his seat, even using the medic strapped in beside him as a brace to rise to his feet. The first steps after a journey were the hardest, each step almost a limb as his old bark and wood adjusted to moving once more. Though he smiled calmly as they disembarked, the Force tugged at his senses, drawing his attention in the same manner it warned Gianna a split second before it happened.

Vines darted out from the Neti grasping a few of the medical personnel in the vicinity just before the Mandalorian gunships and droids strafed the landing Medical frigates. The vines hauled the people back towards the Neti and the two Jedi.

The ship exploded into a fiery explosion of twisted metal and debris, raining down and collapsing under the barrage. The ship fell apart with a screach even as more rounds pelted down.

Gianna provided the start of the energy that built the dome of power and safety that exuded from the pair of Jedi, a shimmering field that defended those around them from harm. The perfect harmony, an example of why the galaxy needed more Jedi like Gianna and Orn. When the smoke cleared and casualties could begin to be counted among the medical staff it was known.

They saved them all.

Orn grunted, straightening his burlap robe for a moment. He was losing a step. “Too many years rooted, I suppose.” He muttered.

His hand extended to the young Jedi woman, reddish hardwood extending from the branches of his wrist until there was a gnarled redwood staff roughly her height held aloft for her to take balanced on his fingers. Another grew from his own hand that he leaned on heavily once it was fully grown. She was powerful in the force, more than strong enough to tell that it was a combination of Ankarres Woodhttp://starwarsrp.net/topic/72401-ankarres-wood/ and several others. A botanist might recognize the traces of Norris Root and Veshok Wook. “For you, little one. You did well, but we must hurry so that we can be where the Force needs us next.

"Medical world, huh." Krest pulled away from the pod, stuffing something into his pocket as he glanced to [member="Mig Gred"] . "Doesn't matter what world it is. You're right." The Zabrak glared at the smaller Mandalorian, his eyes shifting from their natural icy blue to a deep, burning red. As the young man moved, so too did the aged giant. Within a second he had closed the distance with his inhuman speed, but he didn't use his axe to strike or fend off the lightsaber.

Instead, the cybernetic hand of the being went to clamp down around the hilt, his hand, and the blade of plasma itself. It would of been a foolish thing to do, if it wasn't for the cortosis ore that acted as a second layer beneath Krest's robotic limbs. All so he could get Mig's hand into an iron grasp and throw him by that very grip into one of the nearby buildings.

He hand't noticed the tank yet however. His only focus was on the next lamb for slaughter.

"Kark! Kark! Kark! Kark!" The string of curses that Cardinal let out were barely heard over the screaming alarms that filled the cockpit. Flames coursed past his left arm as he kept an iron grip on the flight controls. The Ghost Starfighter was an impressive starfighter for tactical insertions, however even it was not able to evade some of the Mandalorian's faster fighters and Cardinal was no pilot to speak of. The viewport before him was filled with smoke from the inside of the cabin, which mixed with the cloudy upper atmosphere to sweep away all of the man's eyesight. The fighter screamed, trailing smoke as it flew through the upper atmosphere, struggling to maintain any semblance of altitude.

"Ninachukia kuruka!" He yelled out in his native tongue, coughing out as he struggled to maintain control. He had made a horrible mistake. He never should have attempted to fly to the planet himself in such hellish conditions. In reality, this was not his task during the mission. His true task was to serve as a scout for the main body, and ensure that the FOB was prepared to receive the invasion force. A lot had gone wrong.

Once he had broken through the upper atmosphere there was a bit of relief, some kind realization. Since he had not yet exploded into a thousand pieces, now he could eject himself from this horrible landing. He pressed his hand to the emergency ejection, relief flooding over him as the canopy exploded off of the top of the fighter.

Except....The canopy never exploded off. Again, Cardinal pressed his hand over the ejection button and still nothing happened. Again and again he pressed the button, the urgency of his life causing his heart to race. When he looked up he could see it...the ground. "No, damn it, no!" Like a crazed animal Cardinal slammed his fists into the side of the fighter, screaming and beating on the canopy in a desperate attempt to escape. His fingernails bled as he stabbed them into the course metal, relentlessly trying to free himself. He couldn't get free.

His eyes opened wide. There was a violent pull, as if a behemoth had taken hold of the starfighter and ripped it from the skies only to throw it onto Taanab. The Starfighter splintered into pieces, yet bellowing out streams of smoke and fire while Cardinal desperately clung to life. The Force had wrapped around him like a cocoon, an invisible barrier to stop the shattered viewport from ripping him to pieces, or keep his neck from snapping violently. His hands gripped the console as hard as they could, not daring to release it. In the next moment the entire starfighter was taken. Flames rolled from one end of the fighter to another as it slid to a screeching halt along the planet's surface. Small explosions popped from the rolling flames as it engulfed everything within. The flames roared with the occasional crack, yet the fire and the wreckage within showed no sign of life. Cardinal had died in the cr-

"MAYELFA!"
The Force exploded out from the center of the flames as if the gods themselves had commanded it. For yards the flame-dressed wreckage flew away from it's crash site like shrapnel belched from the underworld. What remained was a man whose body was soaked in bruises and cuts from the crash. His body was weary and felt of weakness, this alone was enough to send his temper out of sorts. But it did not. He stood, with his warspear clasped firmly in his hands. His armor was nothing extraordinary. It was crafted from a type of wood found on the homeworld of the Sandali. It had been blessed by the Sandali gods and dressed in their sacred oils, but it was yet true armor. The armor that was worn underneath was more befitting such a battle. A version of the man's Obsidian Armor covered his body, weighing him down but also providing him with some protection.

Cardinal rolled his tongue around his mouth, spitting out a slob of blood as he gazed out into the distance.

This was Taanab. He had landed in a lush meadow that he was sure had once been quite beautiful. Before he had plowed a miles worth of land with his fighter, at least. Blood slid into his eye and he quickly wiped it away before letting out a proud chuckle. He had survived afterall. Now, was time to face a different beast.

"I'm coming for you, [member="Valdus Bral"]. I owe you a rematch, my friend."

The military life was said to be nothing but hurry up and wait, long periods of doing nothing but routine busy work broken by moments of the sheer terror of combat. That was especially true of the navy, for so much of the time they were really nothing but glorified cabdrivers, shuttling ground forces back and forward. A Star Destroyer was the pinnacle of military power for many nations, a massive, devastating war machine that at one time had been enough to cow entire sectors of space. Even those behemoths of space had succumbed to their roles as glorified taxis, their vast sizes and empty hangars perfect for the transport of massive amounts of troops. It was a reality that everyone on the bridge had acclimatised themselves to. Only, this wasn’t one of the moments of calm boredom, this was a moment of sheer terror as the Mandalorian forces arrayed themselves against the Confederacy Armada. Yet, even as the vast battlefleets cut through the air John couldn’t stop himself from checking the small holographic display he’d pulled up, following a medical frigate’s journey down to the surface, to the forward operating base. The cyborg couldn’t help the instinctive reaction when it landed, that small exhalation of breath as he closed his eyes, thanking whichever deity, thanking the force that she’d made it safely, that she wouldn’t get caught up in the whirlwind of destruction that threatened the system. Only to open his eyes to a wholly different sight, to the sight of fighter and gunship tearing into the forward operating base…into the medical frigates that had landed there. Tearing into the one frigate he’d been watching over this whole time. John could only watch in horror as the frigate seemed to shack, to come apart in a storm of flying metal and flame. It couldn’t be. The universe wasn’t that cruel…it wouldn’t do this to her. Forget him, he deserved whatever the universe threw his way but his friend hadn’t hurt a soul, all she’d wanted to do was help people, to heal them. His finger stabbed at the communication button, almost forcing his finger through it as he leaned forward, a hoarse catch in his voice. “Gia…” Please, please let her answer. She had to be alright…

Silent static met the man’s desperate prayers, the relief of a moment ago turning to horror, despair driving icy nails through his spine, through the very core of his being. She was ok…she had to be…she’d have answered…she always answered.

He wanted to run, to scream to deny the world, to deny the truth that was staring him right in the face. The abyss faced him again, but this time there was no light to pull him back from the edge. There was nothing to stop him from falling right over into the icy blackness, not of despair, not the sweet relief of that denial. All that was left to John now was hatred, pure dark anger surging though his veins. It was their fault, their fighters that had attacked unarmed medical frigates, their fighters that had taken light out of the world while proclaiming their superiority? How could beings of such hypocrisy live, not collapse in on themselves. How could the force Gia had believe in so much allow this?

The Admiral’s gave glanced over at the tactical screen, his lips curling up into a cold smile as he saw the Hell wolf come around again, launch its gravity bombs again. “You caught me by surprise the first time,” His voice was cold now, emotionless as she stared at the screen, conversing with the fleet commander as if she was right in front of him, “but not again.” The ship’s fangs were deadly, but they were projectiles, missiles and he’d thought about how to deal with them a long time ago. “Make to the Mace Windu, they’re to use their Aura-projectors to target the enemy bombs, Bit Interceptors are to engage the slowed bombs.” He’d originally intended the plan to deal with torpedoes, with kamikaze fighters, but it would prove just as effective here. The Mace Windu’s pressors came to life, the energy fields reaching out across space to seize the bombs as the interceptors streamed forward. One, two projectiles were caught, the fighters weapons making short work of them, the third got through, the pressor beam missing as the interceptors threw themselves around, a desperate chase to catch up with the bomb before it could hit the Halcyon. The Mace Windu’s final attempt missed, only the brave sacrifice on an interceptor pilot who drove his fighter into the bomb saved the Storm from catastrophic damage. As it was, the shockwaves tore through the ship, throwing the crew from their stations, the ship’s light’s flickering uncertainly. “Make to the Mace Windu, next time don’t miss.”

They’d survived this round, that was something but, it didn’t change the face, the assembled Mandalorian forces outnumbered his taskforce, even the fleet directly engaging him outnumbered and out massed his own fleet. And it was but one part of the Mandalorian’s war machine that had deployed to the system, ship after ship arrayed against him. And it wasn’t just the Mandalorians, John could see ships announcing themselves as the Chis and…something else. The man shook his head, turning to chis crew to start issuing orders when Livia’s speech came over the airwaves. Standing he turned to his crew the man shrugged, nodded at his communications officer to broadcast his response to the fleet, to anyone listening. “Well, she certainly likes to give big speeches doesn’t she, I just have one question…does anyone here actually know who in Ashla’s name that woman was?” A peal of laughter swept the bridge, “Apparently someone who feels the need to name drop to shore herself up, but, I have no clue who she was. I do know one thing, she has no idea what she’s talking about.” The man gestured at the planet in the viewscreen, a verdant green jewel gleaming in space as he shook his head. “Remember, they knew we were coming but rather than evacuate the hospital they chose to keep the sick and wounded there. Trust me,” he held up a hand, the bare metal of his fist catching the light, “I’ve been in a lot of hospitals with not much to do but read. They plan for emergencies and disasters. But what did these Mandalorians do? Did they trust the best laid plans of medical professionals? No, they saw the opportunity to seize living shields because they knew we wouldn’t charge, to bring them to justice while there was a chance we could rescue an innocent. What does it say about them that they were willing to put children, the sick and injured in the way just to protect themselves? They speak of honour, but it was the honour of the clans that brought Eshan to it’s knees, a pale shadow of its former glory. The tantrum of a child caught telling lies destroying all around them. It was the kind and caring Mandalorian’s who attacked H’ratth, a Jedi Temple. Not a Silver Temple, not a Confederacy temple, it was just to be a place of learning and healing. Look at the galaxy around us, at the war and death we all see…surely a temple dedicated to helping people would be sacrosanct in the eyes of most civilised sentients? Not the Mandalorians. They left the temple a burning pile of rubble after they left. Remember the dead we came here to avenge, remember the medical professionals, who came here unarmed intent on only helping and healing before the Mandalorian’s greeted them with bullet and missile and fire. Remember the legions of the dead the Mandalorian’s bring with them in their wake. I say no more. No more death, no more innocents lost to further skew the balance owed by the Infernal and her rabid dogs. This is where we draw our line in the sand.”

John took a step backwards, sinking back into his seat, hands coming to rest on the sides of his seat as his gaze glanced at the sensor feeds. He could see their allies starting to respond to the Mandalorian fleet, engaging their minor vessels, the ECM vessels. It was a chance to catch their breath, to focus on the larger Mandalorian vessels. Then the impossible happened, a miracle John could never have predicted. The Sith left, their vessels streaming out of the system and they had a chance, the excitement audible in Exarch Malvern’s voice.

[SIZE=10.5pt]"Locke, continue to guard our rear flank, once my invasion fleet has moved into the planet's orbit our full fleet will turn to support you. These Mandalorians will not last long against the might of my Armada."[/SIZE]

“Aye, Exarch, we’ll hold them.” Just a little longer, just a little longer and they could turn this around. Just a little longer to make the Mandalorian’s pay. For that prize, he could hold onto anything, just a little longer…Maybe just a little longer. For a moment John felt the breath leave his body in a frustrated sigh, just when he thought they had everything handled even more Mandalorian ships came streaming into the system. “Well, this day just gets better and better.” This was just…every Mandalorian who didn’t leave the system was one more mote in his revenge.

“This changes nothing, we have our orders, we hold the line here. All ships continue firing at your previous targets. The Halcyon will now target the Sundari with the Tempestas.” If at first you didn’t succeed, pick another target and try again. "All ships continue to retreat and fire, if then Mandalorians want to play, we’ll draw them out and wear them down. Andarata’s push up and support the Mace Windu.”

Fire and death continued to fill the warp between the ships, between fleets. Turbolasers and missiles, ion blasts and light. Enough firepower to level a city bandied around by these implacable foes as they continued to dance the dance of death.

Tldr:

Halcyon firing all weapons bar the Garuda at the Hellwolf, Tempestas engaging the Sundari
Tenchu-Kais and Artillery cruisers firing all long range weapons at the Sundari
All Star Destroyers firing at the Defiant Mantis

" Aye"Cypher replied upon hearing the order. " Prepare to move the ship and it-s accompanying Battle Lines to intercept the Chiss Threat" he ordered. Cypher was still shocked at what had happened. Nerual Degradation resulted in him becoming a living breathing Super Tatical Droid. It had it's perks. It had It's drawbacks. Then there was the suit he was wearing. It seemed similar to power armor. His left hand seemed to be enterd in some sort of weapon emplacement. His right hand was gloved in purple cloth. But the only thing that seemed particularly strange was that on his back was some sort of Vibro Blade- Lightsaber combo. " Patch in the 'Bane Of Tryanny' " he ordered. " Vice Marshall, orders?" Asked a young female officer. Rage had selected her to Captain the Bane because of her imaginative thinking. " I want you to ram the largest ship in Clan Gred's fleet. The faster we netrulize them. The more troops we can get to the ground. Oh, and I noticed a lot of your ships took a heavy beating by the mines. So, deploy the rest of the droid forces and have them evacuated. Same orders for them. I want that Capatil Ship killer dead. You get me!" He yelled. Instantly every clone aboard the Bane of Trynny said " We get you, Sir!" " Good. Rage out." He spoke once again
" Kill the engines and stand by to fire all weapon emplacements. He wacthed as a Clan Gred ship exploded under the pressure of all the guns on Task Force bane of Tryanny.

The Chiss. Carrion-eaters of the galaxy. More opportunists than strategists, despite their fanciful claims at military superiority, Vi thought. Predictable. The hook was set, as the Chiss fleet was coming ever closer. Our shields will hold, Vi thought, at least….they better hold.

“Continue to concentrate all fire on their lead ship! Ignore the Chiss. Full power to the shields.” Vi ordered her fleet to continue the onslaught on [Cadera’s] lead ship, slowing his fleet and tying up their movement to join with the rest. The shields were failing, and the missiles were beginning to pound into the hull as Vi’s long range guns were nearing exhaustion. “Transfer to heavy barrage and blow that ship away!” She shouted.

“All fighters, move in close and begin secondary targeting of the other ships. Engines and comms. I want them crippled and silenced.”

“Yes Baroness” Scratched the comm, “We’re on it!” Vi noticed the pounding strains of heavy rock music in the background. She laughed, “You take the Dagatans out of Dagata….” The fighters began bombing and strafing runs against the other ships. She turned to the display, and observed the Chiss fleet coming in hot behind them. “Just a little longer. Come to Mama, you fools. Come to Mama.”

One by one, [member="Quoron Cadera"]'s fleet began to ignite. Yet, the wait was killing her. “Tully, this is Vi, is the package ready?”

“Oh, ready and cookin’! Say the word, and we’re good to go!”

Aries stood beside her, “It will work. It has to. I’m the only metal monster who should survive this day.”

“Yes Bucket, you will be, if this works.”

As her fleet drew close to their prey, the damage of their onslaught grew more fierce, and her Blood Captains began pelting the other ships around their main target as well. It was not without cost. The incoming fire from both in front and behind was wearing heaving on her own ships, and her fighters were taking a beating by the turbolasers of the target fleet.

[member="Adron Malvern"] had managed to regroup, and [member="Voph"] was beginning his counter-attack. [member="John Locke"] always said that going against Voph was one of those nightmare scenarios he’d hoped he would never have to face and now Visanj could see why for herself. “Damn that man is ruthless.”

[member="Cypher Rage"]'s guns were now turning toward engaging the Chiss pursuing her. “Just slow them down, buy us a few more minutes” Vi whispered through her teeth. Turning a whole fleet on one ship, it would have been the doing of an amateur. The overzealousness of some young commander who failed to see the whole chessboard. Let them think it, let them wonder just how stupid I really am. In a moment, all of their speculations would cease, and they would know….devasation….terror….annihilation.

**Beep**

**Baraaaaaaaa**

**Baraaaaaaaa**

That was it, the proximity alarm, the noise she was waiting to hear. Oh sweet music to my ears, Vi thought. “All ships! All ships! Disengage! I say again, all ships, disengage and retreat!” The command went out. One by one, the Dagatan heavy ships began to silence their guns and broke into evasive maneuvers, each one going at full burn this way and that. It was Chaos, and it was beautiful.

“Admiral,” Vi began the holo-call to the allied commanders, “We’re breaking, pull back your attack and steer clear of this area. Things are about to get really hot." Vi laughed ending the call. She knew [member="Adron Malvern"] would do what needed to be done.

“Tully! Launch our little gift.”

“Happy Birthday toooooooo youuuuu,” Came the reply. Damn, that Quarth could fly a carrier through the eye of a needle and turn a wrench better than anyone she knew, but the Corellian couldn’t carry a tune in a bucket with help. “Package is away.”

“Elder, get us out of here!” Vi shouted to the A.I.

“Your drink, Baroness.” Aries handed her the Whyren’s, six fingers, neat. Vi slammed the whole thing.

All around her, Dagatan ships, including her own, were jumping out of the battlespace at top speed. As the Ne’tra’galaar jumped, Vi whispered, “This better work, or I am going back to selling insurance.” She laughed at her own joke as the ship made its way toward the rendezvous point.

Voph smiled to himself. A single barrage, and already the Sith was fleeing. They had truly been defeated by victory. But now was not the time to gloat. With the departure of the Sith armada, Voph's next action became clear. "Vanguard. Bastion. With me. Archwings, Establish perimeter. Uplink with Resolve, Councilor Dex commanding." Voph steadied himself, and clenched his fists. "All fighters, with us. Dive." The engine column on the Resolve flared to life. The Mandalorian fleet had been content to ignore him, and their one ally had fled behind Voph's assault. Leaving a clear path to the planet surface.

As the Resolve plunged into the atmosphere, the Archwing destroyers turned about in a unified motion, engines flaring as they spun to take positions between the planet, and the fleet above. Aboard the Resolve, Aklin Dex stepped towards the chair that was normally reserved for the Resolve's captain. He turned sharply, and sat down. "Get me uplinks and feeds. Darcy, I want a full overview of the skies." "You betcha, boss!"

A holoimage appeared in front of Aklin. He looked over the information briefly, then barked, "Darcy, Highlight candidates." A small collection of ships were highlighted. But Aklin knew which he was targeting. "Archwings, uploading targeting parameters now. Stand by." Aklin wouldn't lie. It was some kind of storm up here. The exact words, he didn't think he should say in polite company. But it was at times like this he respected, and to an extent feared the ship's namesake. Resolve. Because removed as he was, Aklin could still feel Voph's Iron will. Everyone was scared of the coming conflict. Any decent soldier would be. But Voph? Aklin knew deep down, that man had seen too much. Nothing scared him anymore.

Aklin brought himself back to the present as the Archwings began to report in. Guns were charged. Aklin smirked. A misguided commander was waxing poetic on the comms. And as [member="Livia Maddox"] finished her piece, Aklin leaned back in his chair. "That's all very touching, I think we'll agree. But we're not in the business of playing nice." He looked around the bridge to a few nods and cheers of agreement. "I, for one, was of the impression that the Mandalorians were a proud warrior people. Not whelps following the whims of a coward. The time for words is past. Archwings, transmit a return message, courtesy of Vylmira."

The Archwing cruisers began to light up as the energy coalesced around the barrels of the main cannons. The ships shuddered and rocked as the green beams of energy shot through the sky. Unleashing a devastating payload on the Kandosii-class frigates scattered among the Mandalorian formation. The Octarchy did not find themselves in a gaming mood. Each ship selected a target, and unleashed the full might of both XR cannons into a single focused blast. Below, another theater was unfolding.

The Resolve dipped into the atmosphere, XR cannons turning to lock in standby positions. Voph reached over to the console near him, and activated a new channel, broadcasting on Confederate Frequencies. In the back of his mind, the name of [member="Srina Talon"] appeared as one of the individuals leading the efforts on the ground. Likely the Vicelord [member="Darth Metus"] was present as well. Either way, Voph sent a general message all the same. "This is Viceroy Sitdrisa'yr broadcasting on all Confederate Frequencies. The Resolve has entered atmosphere and is poised to provide aid as needed. Requesting communications be established between the Resolve and ground command."

Voph left the channel open, stepping back to the center of his meditation chamber. The Resolve was coming to rest, looming over the shielded city. The shadow of the massive dreadnought cast upon the city was joined by the twin carriers still flying to the port and starboard of the massive ship. "Fighters, Seek and Destroy. Keep the fighting away from the city. Do not attack any targets within the shield unless directly fired upon. The skies are ours. Anyone says otherwise...destroy them. Fear not for the lives of your opponents. They have made their choice. Strike hard. Strike Fast. Strike without mercy. Wipe these so-called warriors from Tanaab. For the Confederacy. For the galaxy...

For Eshan."

Objective: Survive and get the shield generator online

Through the force, she felt the vibrations of danger. “Get down!” She commanded Luna and Metus, and Madalena as she rushed outside. Her sensors soon picked up the incoming ships. She commed frantically. “Everyone, brace for attack! Scimitar, get your shields up immediately!” A voice came through the comm. “Shields up in five!....Four....Three....Two....” However, it never made it. The missiles and laser fire came in to harsh. As Allya raced towards her ship, it exploded into a brilliant ball of shrapnel, gas, and fire. The girl was thrown back by the force. All around her, the hail of lasers tore through the troops as they struggled to find any bit of shelter they could.

Her consciousness waned from the force. As much as her armor protected her, it couldn't perform miracles. Inside, the Valkyrie system activated, it injected much needed bacta and stims into her body. She could feel the pull of hands on her arm, as she was pulled back. Finally, her eyes could focus, and her systems returned fully online, to see Crash, wounded himself, blood dripping from one of his arms, as he pulled her to relative safety. Bodies surrounded them, the smoking charred remains of her friends and allies. These damned cowardly Mandalorians. As she tried to get up, she flinched. Broken rib and a hairline fracture on her right leg, were easily seen on the medical diagnostic scans. Across the comm unit came the frantic calls for back up and medics from dozens of wounded all around her.

However, it was above them that the most tragic call came. “Medical Ship is hit! I repeat Medical Ship is hit. It's breaking apart! Repeat....One of our Medical ships has been destroyed! They are tearing us apart up here, we need reinforcements!” The girl gritted her teeth and shook her head. Mando'ade. Once upon a time, she loved that term. She was proud of what she was. However, if attacking medical ships, if hiding behind civilians like they were meat shields, if cowardly attacking from afar rather than directly...if these were Mandalorians....she didn't want to be one anymore.

She shambled up to Crash. “Thank you, Crash, but we have to get the shields online, fast! We won't survive another attack like that!” Crash gripped her shoulder and nodded. “On it...Adjudant. You take the north generator. I got the east. I'll comm a team to turn on the South generator. May the force be with you. K'oyacyi!”

As her wounded Corporal ran for his life, and the life of everyone else, Allya gathered her hatred, her pain, her agony, and fed on it. The Dark Side Coursed through her young body, and she ran. Her leg throbbed, and the wound would probably be a lot worse after this, but who cared?! Everyone's life was on the line!

As the soldiers began to collect themselves, they used E-webs and shoulder mounted rocket launchers to attack the ARC 170's desperately. However, group after group were simply vaporized as they put up resistance. It did not stop them from trying. Unlike the cowardly Mandalorians, they knew what it meant to fight and die for what they believed in. They didn't hide behind civilians or cities, or inside hospitals. They didn't make excuses or claim to be in the right. They fought for their homes, their families, and to stop the savagery the Mandalorians continued to bring to the galaxy, even if they would never acknowledge it. And they died for the same. Their blood poured out onto the grass lands and the plant, staining it forever more. But never once did they run away.

Allya ran, the pain in her body excruciating. However, she soon made it to the northern generator. It had been set up shortly after landing, however the charred remains of the team sent out made her almost vomit. They had been her friends...her troops. And in an instant, without they were gone...but not forgotten.

She moved to the generator. “I'm here Crash!”

“Good job, Adjudant, just made it myself.” The pain in her Corporal's voice was evident. “Starting up the generator. Looks good. They did good. Eastern team is reporting the same. We are left on you Adjudant!” However, as she moved down to the generator, her heart sank. A stray laser bolt had hit it. While more a glancing blow, it was enough to cause all sorts of problems. The control panel was melted.

Think Allya, Think....
Without hesitation, she pried the melted control panel off, cut the wires and began to tinker with the machine. She had to bypass the control board, and force a start up, even if they couldn't control it as well, it would at least provide them with shelter from this onslaught. As she worked, her comm came to life. “This is FOB team! Requesting IMMEDIATE air support! I repeat! Requesting Immediate Air support!” Her mind continued to race.....but the shield wasn't up yet. She was getting close, but every moment meant the chance of another strafing attack, of the death of herself and everything she cared about.

The strike was a success. In one fell swoop the flight of ten were able to down a medical frigate, some drop ships, and turn some opposition infantry into clouds of red mist. However, the attack did not go off without a hitch. Soon after the ARC-170r's released their payload and began to fly away, the rear most ARC began to wobble before jolting to the side. Had it not been for the speed of the ARC's , the starship next to the flung ARC-170r would've been struck. Instead, the ARC's scraped past each other, with ARC that was being interfered with by the force ground against the rear of its wingman.

The ARC was then turning this way and that, trying to regain control of itself as the droid brain ran thousands of calculations, but the force was not easy to predict as it could change on a whim. The droid brain decided the best course of action would be to slow down and move in a straight line away from the the group it had just assaulted. This would be the undoing of this ARC-170r. One of the infantry groups with rocket launchers had one particularly lucky soldier, perhaps a diamond in the rough, that was able to take advantage of the slowing starfighter and its predictable trajectory. After they launched their rocket it came screaming towards the starfighter, smashing into the aft. The ARC-170r jolted forward, plumes of smoke and firing rising of the rear of the fighter. After several seconds of twisting and pinwheeling, the heavy fighter crashed into the ground, rolling against the meadows as it did so, towards some of the further back grounded ships. Needless to say any infantry in the path of this ship would be killed on contact and light vehicles would likely suffer the same fate, but the ship had lost a lot of momentum after hitting the ground so any asset that was sturdier than the aforementioned wouldn't be destroyed.

As the ARC-170r's came back to the gunships Valdus spoke over the commlink to [member="Adenn Kyramud"] once more, " Strike was successful. There's a lot of jetii on the ground, some usin' some sort of ... magic spears and the rest are using barriers. We're going to need something to deal with those. Maybe three or four of them. I can't tell from this distance. Returning back to the city. Anymore targets?" The tal'galaar gunners gave another spray of their high powered rotary, grenade launching weapon into more of the infantry and landed dropships before they turned in place, much like a helicopter, and jetted off towards the city. This time however, the ARC-170's rushed away at hypersonic speed to get in front of the gunships to act as interceptors in case the typical response was realized: airborne retaliation. A tactic as old as time and one that Valdus' flight wasn't well equipped to deal with.

Mittens

So fluffy, you'll die
Grand Admiral Mittens sat regally upon the modest throne that was but a human sized chair. Around his neck, rested a decorative collar that was adorned with an assortment of ribbons and small medals for his numerous military accomplishments. And from this collar, a single large gold coin hung over his chest. Upon this coin, two simple words had been carved. Honorary Mandalorian.

"The Jim Henson Company and the PETA Alliance are in position." Admiral Mittens said into a microphone worked into the helmet that rested upon his head. It was solid black helmet with a low back and a sweeping form. It was a thing of an entirely unique style, but it served the needs of Admiral Mittens to great effect. For it was a neural interface helmet, and with it he could operate human sized controls designed for sentient beings born with the blessed augmentation known as thumbs.

With this helmet, Admiral Mittens rechecked the status of the small ship that contained the throne upon which he sat. Though the poor old thing was ancient by anyone's standards, it had been well maintained over the years and continued to surprise him with its stubborn refusal to perform in any way other than with perfection. It was a good old ship. And it would have to continue being a good old ship for a few more hours, or everything would fall apart for this sector of the galaxy.

"I repeat, The Jim Henson Company and the PETA Alliance are in position." Admiral Mittens said into subspace as he waited and listened for the proper code phrase amongst the utter chaos that was the subspace network immediately surrounding Taanab. Panicked civilians, scrambled military channels, grand declarations... the usual signal clutter that came from modern warfare.

But then, amongst the background noise of a thousand subspace messages and garbled by heavy static, came the words Admiral Mittens waited for.

"Operation La Chancla is a go. Repeat, Operation La Chancla is a go."

A coy smile played upon the proud and noble features of the Grand Admiral as he cycled the comms of his small ship to his command network. "This is it comrades. Time to show the Mando'ade what we can do. All units jump on assigned vectors." The 18lb cat said before pausing for dramatic effect. "Go."

https://soundcloud.com/shrekfromshrek/holding-out-for-a-hero-soundtrack-shrek-2

The combined and accumulative network of advanced sensors within the Taanab system would show an immense flare of activity within Hyperspace. Brief and brilliant in its intensity, this flare of activity would trigger automated alarms on many of these ships, alerting commanders to the arrival of significant forces. However, as commanders turned their attention towards the corner of space where this hypothetical enemy was to present itself, their eyes were greeted only by the sight of X-Wings reverting to realspace. Squadron after squadron of X-Wing Space Fighters. Numerous... Inumerable... And still coming.

Grand Admiral Mittens sat within the cockpit of one such fighter, allowing himself a moment to take in the chaos of the battlespace as his forces continued to arrive on this side of reality. The smirk remained on his face as he realized just how immense the scale of this war truly was. It would be the perfect place for his forces to make their presence known. The perfect time for those of... lesser stature to show the worlds of the galaxy how wrong they were to take them for granted.

Ewoks. Chadra-Fan. Akale. Kremlins. And innumerable other species.

Every one of the brave souls under his command was small, furry, and suffered from constant discrimination by humans and other such creatures throughout the galaxy. But today... With Mandalorian-style Duraplast helmets adorning their proud heads, these 'lesser' creatures would be the ones to save the day, and prove that even Mandalorians should respect their smaller companions.

As the last of his two million strong Jim Henson Company arrived at Taanab, Grand Admiral Mittens allowed his voice to broadcast on all subspace frequencies. "PETA has arrived, and we bring La Chancla!"

And with that, Chaos Reigned.

The Chiss certainly had grabbed the attention of those nearby. Good. Dezoti sat in her chair, her red eyes scanning over the various naval officers on the bridge. Win or loose, live or die, the Galaxy would remember Copero. "Ma'am, there seems to be a star fighter squad cutting through the ranks of our star fighters at an alarming rate. From what we could ascertain, they seem to be Jedi." Of course it was Jedi. It wasn't bad enough for them to ignore the misdeeds of their allies, but now they were joining in?

"We know how to deal with them. Divert two squads from the Isihin'i to hunt them down and force them to scatter. Keep the Droids and the rest of the Isihin'i focused on harassing those frigates ( [member="Visanj T'shkali"] )." As ordered sixteen of the Isihin'i pilots broke off their attack runs to go after the Jedi squadron ( [member="Kat Decoria"] ). Within moments a barrage of focused ion blaster fire would trail after Cyan Squad.

"Ozyly-esehembo Cimu'avaen'zaorme, are we ready?" Her gaze glanced down to the child, who was kneeling. A soft glow emanated from her as she channeled her powers. Before her was the Ozyly-esehembo Hub, the key to how she would be able to navigate the whole fleet. ".. No. Something off. Trap." Dezoti immediately looked up from the child, standing from her seat as she tried to figure out what trap could mean.

Then she saw it.

The main target, their whole fleet, had turned on their sides. Dezoti narrowed her eyes. Did they honestly think that the Chiss were so foolish? "They're going to flee. Scatter. No longer a threat." Cowards, then? No. Scatter to avoid being targeted on re-entry or followed. More importantly, what sort of trap were they setting?

"The Mandalorian's are asking for assistance dealing with one of the Super Star Destroyers. They have a plan, but they need more to protect the run."

"Ozyly-esehembo Cimu'avaen'zaorme, plot a course immediately. Get all ships in barrier formation."

"Yes, Aristocra." It only took a moment for the young girl to plot their course. That was the power of the Ozyly-esehembo. In a flash the whole Chiss fleet did a micro-jump right into their formation alongside the Mandalorian's that had asked for help ( [member="Adenn Kyramud"] ). "Begin your run. The Chiss are here to help keep your ships alive." All ships began to fire on the rest of the CIS fleet around the SSD Resolve ( [member="Voph"] ) to keep them away from Adenn's attack run.

Kaden would never understand why the Mandalorians would assume the Confederacy was there to attack the hospital specifically. The way their troop positions were detailed it was if they had it on some kind of report that was the primary target. It was laughable. Buildings were always collateral damage in war, and no matter what one side or the other did, there was always a risk of something going wrong. Their actions showed no concern for the wounded as far as Kaden was concerned, but why was he surprised. He had been abandoned by them once when at the hand of pirates because their precious Mand’alor was the only one important to them. The rest, her husband and father of her child included, were simply collateral losses, written off as unimportant.

The Clans were not anymore humane or morale than the Confederacy in this regard. Were the hospital being threatened with a natural disaster would they not do everything in their power to rescue the wounded. Were they on the coast and a tsunami threatened to destroy the building wouldn't they risk the chance of death to evacuate those who could not be moved rather than leave them to a certain death? Which would be more humane, trying and failing, or not trying at all? The fact they insisted there was nothing to be done, that they continued the same narrative over the comms made them cowards, ignorant, negligent, or all of the above. Even Kaden knew every hospital had an evacuation protocol for emergency purposes. Why had they not simply enacted theirs? After all, based on the sheer numbers and the non-mandalorian civilians which were evacuated, the Clans knew they had been coming.

The familiar voice of [member="Scherezade deWinter"] was the first to respond to his call for backup. She was becoming a good friend, out of necessity, but also because they had enough commonalities to make it seem like a natural thing. Their most common shared trait was the love they had for [member="Daisy Americus"]. While their feelings for the blonde Mandalorian were not the same, the word best described them. Scherezade was her best friend, and hearing her voice only reminded Kaden that he HAD to return. There was still too much that Kaden had left unsaid between him and the blonde, and Kaden knew that needed to be remedied.

Naturally Scherezade answered Kaden in her humorous way which caused him to chuckle in the middle of the battle field. Humor was needed at times like this, no matter how serious and sotic Kaden was, even he understood. <<< “You just get your thicc shebs over here. We’ve got turbolasers to take out, and warzone surrounding the hospital. They aren’t leaving us a choice. If they wanted to avoid what happened on Copero they should have staged their defense outside the city, not in it. Their Warmaster is an incompetent or’dinii.” >>>

Kaden flipped off his comm for the moment as another came up beside him. [member="Karsan Calnov"] had been at the Red Coronation. Kaden’s memory of him was fuzzy, but he did recall he was in part responsible for the death of the son [member="Darth Carnifex"] brought with him. Carnifex had been the intended target, but the Sith Lord had used his own son as a human shield. The Dark Lord has plenty of children to spare it seemed, but Kaden had still been shocked at the action. It was the difference between a Sith and Mandalorian, and yet Yasha had given in and made full alliance with them regardless. She had always said she was more of Panatha than Mandalore. Every time Kaden had encouraged her to model what it meant to be Mandalorian, that it was her duty as Mand’alor, she had rebuffed him.

Karsen asked for a couple of men, and Kaden nodded. <<< “You two with him,” >>> he said tapping the two closest on the shoulder. His head motioned toward the newcomer with a slight jerk indicating what his words had just instructed. Kaden waited patiently for the newcomer to set up his post and lay down cover fire. The enemy seemed to be pinned down long enough for Kaden to move, so he did. Pushing off the downed dropship, Kaden ran at full sprint toward the nearest turbolaser as the other teams moved off on their own as well. According to intel there were 24 posted on the perimeter, and with six teams, that was going to mean 4 per team unless they got help quickly. They needed help.

<<< “To all available SSD’s and Exarch Adron Malvern. We need some droids down here stat. Send as many as you can spare.” >>>

The shield was easy to get through, and the canon’s themselves were too large to target a single runner with much precision, not that Kaden was safe by any means. He was in the effective range of two towers as he approached, zig zagging as he moved to avoid the laser fire. Taking a bit of the thermal tape Kaden had carried with him, he strapped a thermal detonator to one tower, and keeping his body along the wall, strapped a second detonator to the other tower. He moved out of the way in time to see a movement of infantry posting up inside the city, more protection of the this hospital he assumed.

Kaden sighed as he kept his back along the wall before risking crossing the gap between the entrance. That was when he sensed something familiar.

D E A T H.

It was more than death, but also a presence. Kaden knew her all too well, the sensation she gave off by the way she moved about. @Aditya Fitze Kierke was more than a figure from his past, but she had been there to ensure he survived the Netherworld for seven years. He had barely been 14 when he followed Yasha through the gate, but thanks to [member="Ember Rekali"] the way was barred to their return for 7 years. It had been a literal hell, and each passing year saw another layer of cold beskar form around Kaden’s heart. She was the one to blame for every bit of the stoicism which others received from him, or the unfeeling and cold gaze all but one person alive received from him. He should have stayed back, but every memory of her harsh treatment which she claimed was designed to make them stronger and to keep them alive. Instead all she had caused was growing resentment, and one cold hard truth Kaden had to reconcile.

KADEN WANTED ADITYA FITZE KIERKE DEAD.

It was a raw feeling which burned inside him, how could he hate someone so much? Yet she had wronged him, wounded him deeply. Did he blame her for the fact Yasha had pushed him aside, in many ways he did. His mind told him to stick with the objective, that the team needed him, but he was blinded by his rage. As though SHE knew her son was conflicted inside, Kaden was suddenly aware of the sweet and intoxicating aroma of jasmine and rain. Her voice soothed the conflict within and stoked the rage which burned in his bones. There would be time for both. Why should he be denied a chance for revenge and to offer Selene a sacrifice worthy of her favor. "Sweet boy. Beautiful child,” she whispered into his heart. “Kill them for me. Kill them for you. They are a blight. Betrayers, bacteria. End them."

Emboldened by her words Kaden ran toward Aditya and the black steed of the sky she rode upon. Without warning Kaden pressed his thumb to the detonator, hoping that whatever explosion resulted would be enough to get the woman’s attention.

“ADIIIIIIIITYAAAAAAA!!!!!” Kaden screamed as his feet carried him closer to his intended target.

Underneath his helmet his eyes grew yellow and red with rage. Drawing from the power his mother had imbued within him, a javelin the color midnight, protruded from his hand, about his full height, made of the darkside itself. His sights were not set on Aditya herself, but rather the dragon she rode. Stretching his arm back, Kaden vaulted forward as he launched the spear, aiming for black heart of the wretched beast.

Luna heard the ships before she actually saw them. The unmistakable sound of fighters bearing down on her position that had been bore into her mind from hours of training, combat engagements, and simulations. So the moment she could hear the engines screaming toward them, and displays on helmet lighting up like a core world on a holiday, her head snapped up to see the fighters beginning their strafing runs. There was only a second before the first lasers hit that she screamed out to those around her, “Strafing run! Get dow-!”

The first lasers exploding the ground near their location cut the commander off as she was practically sent flying backward, hitting hard against a group of crates. Her vision became dangerously dark, and she could feel her self slowly losing consciousness as her head rolled back and her chest heaved to desperately try to bring air into her lungs. And for a moment, Luna really thought she was going to black out. That was, of course, until the adrenalin shots from whatever system Allya had put in her suit of armor kicked in, and the redhead shot up gasping for air.

Even if she hadn’t blacked out, Luna wasn’t sure it was better to be awake. She almost wished she was in the state she was left in after being hit with debris on Eshan at seeing all of the carnage and destruction. Where she had been standing just a few seconds ago was now a crater of dirt, with no sign of the vicelord whatsoever. Climbing down slowly, aching, from the position in the middle of the crates, commander watched as her men were cut down from lasers in the sky while still being in a semi-dazed state. A concussion, probably, she thought. Which was probably why it was hard to focus on anything..especially the fighter baring down on her location.

Said fighter had fired a pair of missiles a few seconds ago, which decidedly hit the shuttle behind her, exploding it into a fireball that sent the command forward and onto her face. Not that she didn’t appreciate being thrown down like a ragdoll, but this was starting to get ridiculous. As she was pulling herself to her feet, she could hear her adjunct calling out desperately to get the shield up, which, in all honestly, would probably be a better decision than continuing to get thrown around. Forcing herself through the fog, the commander got fully up to her feet and headed as quickly as she could toward the last shield generator. Finding Allya already crouched beside it, looking and sounding distressed, didn’t exactly fill her with hope.

Then she saw the control panel. And realized what it meant.

It was at this moment, as the woman next to her was screaming into the comms to get air support to their location that the bombs seemingly decided to stop falling, and the lasers hitting the ground lessoned, and lessoned, until all was quiet. Except, of course, for the residual explosions of ships losing parts or crates full of explosives going critical. Luna stood during these moments, watching as the fighters turned to leave the area, obviously happy with the damage they had done.

And in all honesty, she didn’t know how much damage was done. She didn’t know the status of the vicelord, or even the status of most of her commandos who had been cut down during the fight. What she did know, however, was that it was over for the moment, and the attack on their position had been a success in setting back their building of the FOB. Something that annoyed Luna to no end.

But a smile began to creep onto her face as she looked back to the skies, recognizing the telltale shape of @Voph’s ships entering into the atmosphere. The CIS had engaged their efforts for air superiority, which meant that, hopefully, something like this wouldn’t happen again. And that reinforcements would be arriving soon. In fact, at this moment, the first of the invasion force had entered into the atmosphere, as the C7797’s carrying two companies of Dauntless troopers and AM-ATs headed toward the city itself, surely to land within the next few moments. And out of the clouds, the reinforcements had come to the FOB area, being in the form of a company of Dauntless engineers and one company of troopers.

The massive landing ships slowly hit the crated ground and opened their doors, pouring out troopers and engineer reinforcements who quickly got to work trying to fix what had been destroyed during the attack, as well as cleaning up the debris from all of the damaged shuttles. Luna’s eyes moved from them for a moment, looking to the city, and as she patted her adjunct on the shoulder and guided her to her feet, giving a small nod. “I think we’re going to be alright, my friend. Lets regroup.”

He engaged the shield disruptor on his garb and waited several seconds as the shivering light coated his body and rendered him untouchable by the massive shield that would otherwise have kept him out. He reached with one hand toward it, testing the effectiveness of his tool, and it strained beneath his touch. The energy field seemed malleable for a moment, then bent, sizzled, and popped as his form slipped slowly through.

It shook for a moment as it consolidated itself back to form, almost as if nothing had ever happened. And in terms of local security, given his armor and the nature of the shield disruptor, nothing technically had. At most, the security network might have detected a momentary lapse in shield integrity- nothing abnormal, under the duress of planetary bombardment from turbolasers.

It was the perfect crime.

He glanced around and took stock of his immediate surroundings. A secondary scan of the area noted sparse and distantly placed guards- they were all at the well-defended position elsewhere in the city. Alkor wasted no time scaling the wall of a home and getting to roof level.

From there, he had a perfect view of the tower.

It wouldn't be long.

=================================================================================================================
Adenn had begun planning, yet shortly thereafter there was a crash. Looking up, Adenn watched in horror as his wife jumped out a window only to be caught by a dragon. Opening his comms to the leader of her guards, Adenn's voice was frosty.
"Dennis..."
The answer was in a voice filled with nervousness.
"Y..yes..yes Alor?"
"After her now, if she is hurt, it is on your head. Do not fail me."
"Elek Alor!" Came the hurried response. (Yes boss!)

That done, Adenn cut the call and looked up once more. As he watched silently, Adenn spotted several figures leap out of the window as well, flying after Aditya. Around 30 individuals total, then came another dragon, Calyr specifically. They flew after Aditya and would no doubt soon catch up to her. But they also knew they couldn't stop her once she set her mind to something, so were left with the knowledge that if anything happened to her, it was their fault.

Frowning, Adenn did his best to hide his distress. He'd been doing relatively well, with the knowledge that his family was safe in the hospital behind all the defenses they'd set up, but now he didn't have that comfort, for his wife at least. Leaning his head forward, Adenn squeezed his eyes shut and prayed to the Mandalorian gods that his wife would be safe. He wasn't a religious man, but he'd do anything to ensure her safety. That's why he did what he did, for his family, for his aliit.

Blinking rapidly, Adenn looked up at those around him; Gunner and several high ranking leaders in Clan Mortui were already there. That was only within the Mandalorians, there was also Cleru, the defacto Chiss leader. Along with that, supposedly in the hospital was another clan leader, of Clan Naudir. Opening the PDA system for the hospital via his helmet, Adenn spoke, his voice trying to remain calm and collected, even as he struggled internally. He did a relatively remarkable job of hiding his anxiety and fear, but those who truly knew him would no doubt hear the slight off notes.
"Attention all Mando'ade, the time is upon us. It's the time where we stand once more to fight and die as warriors. To those patients who have chosen to go out and fight, I offer this last chance to stay here, live the rest of your hours in relative peace. For those who go..." Adenn's voice breaks slightly as he continues. "thank you for your sacrifice, you shall be remembered with honor for all time. Thank you aliit, I salute you in this dire time."

Adenn held a moment of silence then, in salute for those who were willingly giving themselves to the fight. They too had their cameras rolling, their final moments recorded as each soldier chose to go out. War had come to this planet and they wouldn't survive, but they would go out fighting. These brave soldiers were equipped with armor and then they marched out of the hospital. Many nurses were crying at seeing their patients go, many of the guards were saddened as well. When they finally reached the door to the hospital, the walked out into the light.

There they were met by each of the guards standing at attention, with soldiers in the trenches watching them as they marched out, heads held high. They passed by the planning table and Adenn paused to look at them before saluting, chest slamming against his chest plate as he watched in silence as they filtered past. His own officers soon followed suite, and they all watched as these brave men and women willingly went to the fight. They followed after Aditya, moving to support them as they needed.

Still standing in silence, looking to where all the soldiers had disspeared, Adenn finally broke the silence. Using the PA system once more, Adenn spoke.
"Those brave men and women are willingly fighting on, so must we. No matter what, do not give up, do not give in." Taking a breath, Adenn continued. "All Mandalorian leaders not currently present at the planning table, meet me outside. We have much to discuss, for we won't sit idly by as this planet is attacked. For our aliit!"

Standing there in silence, Adenn made to to remember this moment forever in his mind. He waited there in silence, internally despairing for the desperation that had come. He looked heavewards then, seeking an answer, but instead saw the SSD from [member="Voph"]. Eyes widening in shock, Adenn realized it was time for something to happen, something he'd planned for previously. Pressing a button on his comms, a call went out to Clan Mortui and its ships, along with details. When the rest of the leaders returned, Adenn turned his attention to them and began speaking.
"As you know, the CIS are here and here." Adenn pointed at the map, or more at the general large blob of land where the CIS was located. "They are pushing into the city and creating a FOB, both things which we can't allow to continue. As such, I have devised a plan with the help of some others as to what we'll do."

Those next few minutes Adenn spoke quite a lot, outlining every little detail to his allies. Soon enough he had explained the entire plan. Thankfully the majority if not all seemed to be on board with this plan, so it would go into affect. Immediately preparations were made, people notified, and officers and NCOs informed. That took another few minutes, but soon enough they were done.

One third of the troops defending the Clan Tal hospital moved out, tanks, troops, and the titan, Hell's Angel, all advanced out and in a specific direction. That direction had the most CIS there, and at the end was the FOB from the CIS as well. These troops moved out, 2 and a half thousand Clan Mortui soldiers, all the Beskad Elites, 150 Beskad Warriors, 40 titan tanks, 6 super heavy tanks, 150 AT-ADs, artillery and AAA, and the most important asset of all, Hell's Angel. This force for Clan Mortui moved out and then, on an unseen signal, artillery opened fire upon the city.

The city was empty of civilian life, so the artillery men had free range, but they also had their objectives and fulfilled them. Their objective was to form barricades at the city outskirts, so that they would force the CIS to be more clumped together and thus easier pickings. With the artillery 'rolling' their fire down certain lanes and across buildings, effectively blocking off side streets, main streets, and more, Adenn and everyone there advanced. Scouts from the Chulan were first, advancing far ahead of everyone else, next came the heavy hitters, so the AT-ADs, Beskad Warriors, Beskad Elite, and Adenn himself. Behind this group was a mix of regular troops and tanks, with the titan tanks being outfitted with every imaginable combination. From anti air to anti vehicle, anti infantry, and more, they were ready for anything. Behind these tanks came the super heavy tanks, dispersed evenly throughout the titan tanks, intending to help them and use them all in one. Behind them came Hell's Angel, lumbering along at its max speed, but still oh so slow.

Even as they went, specially designated troops left the main group and went on their own directions. Each one of these had a method to pass from one end of the city to the other without being noticed, and they were now putting this all into effect. The main group stuck together for the most part, but they were spread out over 2 to 4 streets, advancing and engaging the enemy as they came across them. For the most part this was the scouts and the titan doing the most work. The scouts attacking patrol groups and linking up with Mando patrols to support them. While on the other side the titan was shooting the devastator canon at the enemy. It had far more reach than the troops on the ground, and as such was shooting at enemies from halfway across the city.

Each engagement was either done to kill the enemy or to get them headed in the one direction. Hell's Angel was doing much of the similar, either shooting to kill, or when not enough, forcing them to go in the direction they wanted. There would be some outliers no doubt, but these would eventually be dealt with by the vehicles and heavy troops of Clan Mortui.

Overview:

Adenn rallies troops and comes up with a plan with others, they enact the plan and move out.
Artillery bombing outskirts to create rubble, allowing only a certain section for people to escape from, and away from the Mandos
Main group and outliers are engaging the enemy at every opportunity they can. IE: You can say if we engage you or not for now, lel :)

Chulan

The Chulan were surprised by the swift reactions from both deWinter and Vytal. However, they were semi used to such suddenness, so the snipers shifted fire to keep firing at Vytal. Meanwhile, the Chulan nearest to the pair were pushed back, a few even being launched back. The others were knocked over and onto their backs, while only a handful remained upright. They growled, with the ones who'd been launched getting back to their feet alongside the knocked over troops.

The ones who'd been knocked back turned their fire onto Vytal, aiming to deal with her quickly. Meanwhile the others returned their fire on deWinter. They hadn't really been attacked yet(that I can see), so the Chulan spread out, moving along the line to get past her little shield thing. Even with the defensive measures set up by both Vytal and deWinter, the Chulan still poured fire into it, hoping to get a lucky shot through and hit one of the 3 inside. The other Chulan who were hidden didn't reveal themselves yet, preferring to stay hidden for now. This turned out to be beneficial, seeing as soon enough troops from Krieg appeared around the group and demanded their surrender.

The leader of the Chulan grinned ferally behind his helmet and motioned for the little group to surrender. Now it was a waiting game, see what would happen.

Fleet

The call from Adenn was received quickly and the fleet prepared itself. They knew of the overwhelming numbers and were glad they weren't fighting in that slaughter, but they were also guilty for the same reason. So they had prepared their ships for a suicide run, to run them into the CIS fleet and blow them sky high, but now a different target presented itself. Voph had brought his ship in, an SSD at that, and placed it over the city. Within Adenn's mind a plan had formed, one that would see him lose some ships, but possibly let the enemy lose an even bigger ship.

Thus he had told his fleet about his plan and they had prepared themselves. Transferring more explosives to the 2 Hammerhead Destroyers that Clan Mortui had in its fleet, all non essential personnel had been taken off both ships. Most of the essential personnel as well, each ship was now run by AI mainly and a small crew of volunteers who said they'd try to escape, but knew the chance was small for it. Once everything was done, the Clan Mortui fleet had jumped to Tanaab.

The 2 Hammerhead Destroyers were in the middle of the formation, while every other ship of Clan Mortui was positioned so as to maximize protection of the destroyers. They sent a call out to the Mandalorian ships, detailing their plan quickly, and asking for another escort to help. Kaine's fleet offered assistance(I received permission from Kaine to use his fleet for this). The fleet opened up to distract the CIS fleet. at the same time Clan Mortuis fleet made full burn towards the planet, more specifically to the city. With the other ships forming a shield of themselves, the 2 hammerheads got through relatively unscathed from harm, aside from some shield reduction.

They neared the planet, still running relatively silent compared to everyone else. As such they weren't really a target to the majority of ships. Full burn had them nearing the planet quickly as well, and soon enough they'd be at the SSD. Then their plan would come into effect. When near enough, as one the 2 hammerheads spun over and dove towards the SSD, one ship aiming for the prow and the other went in to ram at the side, near the middle, just above the engines area. In doing so, the pair of hammerheads wished to ram the SSD into the ground, but away from the city. The ships had taken all power away from guns, gravity, oxygen, and every other system to give more boost to the engines and shields, increasing the survivability of the. Hopefully allowing them to do some real damage to the SSD, even crash it into the ground.

Mors Classemque (Death Fleet)

Fleet moving, bottom of my BIO under Mors Classemque.
2 Hammerheads ramming towards the SSD Resolve.
One hammerhead heading for the prow(front of ship) to push the nose towards the ground.
Second hammerhead is headed to push in at the joint area, where the dip in the middle of the ship is, above the engines. Coming in slightly sideways to push away from the city and shields.
